You should stick with, old songs, traditional folk music and new songs that compliment those styles. With so much "change," going on, groups like yours could be instrumental in preserving our history and heritage. Auld Lang Syne is an eternal tune and will never become outdated. Bravo 👏, you guys are top notch.

I found this today featured on Steady, Dan Rather's newsletter with his comment: “Auld Lang Syne” has been a tradition and a favorite for decades. I’ve heard dozens of versions over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever found one this beautiful. It’s certainly a reason to smile. The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin chamber choir performance is pure enchantment.

My grandmother passed away last December. She was not Scotish herself, but her granddaughter (me) was born in Scotland and she had held an affinity with it ever since. She wanted Scotish music for her service, but due to the service-providers we couldn't. Her ashes will be scattered tomorrow, at the place where she was most happy. I won't be able to be there, but I suggested to my family to play a nice version of Auld Lang Syne. My dad asked me if I could find a nice and appropriate version. This rendition made me cry. It is gorgeous. Thank you for making me feel I could be part of her send off.

The end of 2023 marked the end of the first full calendar year without my son's presence in this earthly world. When the clock struck midnight, I stood on the walkway in front of my house under the giant old maple trees, and listened to this play quietly as revelers throughout the valley set off fireworks in the distance, and a soft, light snow began to fall.

I do not completely understand the meaning of the term "auld land syne" but for some reason this song came to my mind after a very very long time today. Last when I sang this hymn, i was a young kid in a school in India where we sang hymn in our morning prayers. Since I am Hindu, I did not really understand some of terms like this one, but I was always drawn towards hymns like Amazing Grace, Silent Night, and Auld Lang Syne and I sang them with great passion and zeal. It really filled my heart with joy and grace to listen to this hymn again which is sung so beautifully by these young women and men.
May the positivity from this hymn spread across the world. Amen !

Andre Hazes - Wij Houden Van Oranje
      Samen zijn we sterk
      Eendracht maakt machtig
Hoe een klein land groot kan zijn
      Is dat niet prachtig
      refr.:
      Nederland Oh Nederland
      Jij bent een kampioen
      Wij houden van Oranje
Om zijn daden en zijn doen
Straks als het rood wit blauw
      Voor ons wordt gehesen
Dan zijn wij een groot gezin
      Met goud zijn wij geprezen
      refr.

      Jij bent een kampioen
      Wij houden van Oranje
Om zijn daden en zijn doen
      Van de tribunes
      Klinkt het Wilhelmus
      Nu nog mooier dan voorheen
      Ach wie laat geen tranen
