Great video, my boys and I, we all have the feathers 7’1 ml and we love it. I have the UL elixir and the mirage and love it too. I pair my w a 2500 vanford and fish all day. We’re a Phenix rod family.
They are super nice rods the feather is the only ones I have tried, hoping to use some other models soon. Thanks for watching we appreciate it.
Hey Josh thanks for the video I'm going to be switching over to Phoenix rod's. .
Awesome they are great rods you will enjoy them. Thanks for watching and commenting
Do you know how much it weigh in oz? Im trying to pick up a light rod to jig for pompanos( bay area Flordia). Ive a 3000 luvias weigh-in 6.2oz. Just wondering if itll tip up if paired with that rod
I do not know the total weight I will try and see if I can find out
I have a couple of the phoenix M-1 rods. I may try a feather sometime. What store did you find it in? I order mine on tackle warehouse.
I have a store here called Watsons that carry them about the only place around that I know of other than ordering online
How would you rate this compared to the new Exprides?? I have the 7’2 ML but I like to hold my rod in 2x2 and that longer cork in the front kinda throws me off I’ve been looking for a rod that has that hump for a long time I only like to use 1 rod and I never throw anything huge never above 1/2oz but I use all lures what would you say?? Should I get this one?
Have not used the Expride. But have heard they are nice. I like the Phenix rods thought they are nice.
Phenix is nothing compared to exprides. PERIOD. IF YOU HAVE THE FUNDS FOR AN EXPRIDE GO WITH THE EXPRIDE, sensitivity and durability is way above the phenix.
- coming from owner of both exprides and phenix. I still love phenix but compared to the expride the phenix doesn’t even come close.
@@Uwusenpaiii i agree the Expride is a great rod and yes they are a little expensive
@@Uwusenpaiii yea like I said I had a expride B but the phenix festher rod specifically has the hump handle that I like for my wrist
Understand completely
Is this rod good for drop shot ???
You could use it for drop yes. They also make in a medium light also that would be great. Check out there full line great rods and super sensitive. Thanks for watching
Do you have any issues with the size of the first guide? Is the stripper guide too small?
Not at all they are normal size mostly
I am purchasing two of the 7' 7" medium action rods tonight and have the same concern, the stripper guide is much smaller and its further away from the reel seat than any other spinning rods that i own. i have heard that the line hits the rod when using braid...i cant see it happening, but i guess others have.
@@1960fusion please get back to me if you don’t mind! I’d love to hear your feedback on the guide spacing and size
@@stevenle4413 i will, i may have to wait until the weekend to buy them.
@@1960fusion I have braid on both of mine right now and don’t have a issue at all
