Is it any way I can move abroad for a job as a Clinical laboratory scientist ?
Yes you can check the bridging program in Canada for cls. You can immigrate there go and Google it every thing is mentioned on Canada's immigration website. 🙏🏾
Nice personal story and perspective. I am working to recruit new laboratory talent in Missouri and Illinois.
Thanks I appreciate it :)
Pleas can you tell us about the pay as a med lab scientists
The hospital where I work pays between 30-40$ an hour.
Can you do a video of explaining contet on classes for MLS
Yes that’s a great idea thank you for the suggestion!!
Could you major in chemistry to become a clinical Laboratory Scientist?
im wondering that too
Yes, it’s possible but you might have to take additional classes or speak with the jobs because someone will not.
What college did you attend for your Bachelor of MLS? What program did you attend or where?
I went to Northern Illinois University in Illinois
how do you become specialized in something for mls? like say i want to specialize in microbiology
I want to get into research too! Make a vedio about how to get into research MLS 🙏🏾❤️
I believe I have one uploaded :)
I love your videos :)
Aw thank you! You’re so sweet :)
Is there a program for medical lab techs that want to become a medical lab scientist?
yes there is! make sure to do research to see if there are any programs by you who offer this.
Is there any certification we have to do inorder to become CLS OR MLS or just masters in science major is enough?
you need to go through a MLS or CLS bachelors program and take the certification exam called the ASCP BOC. If you have a masters degree in a different science major you can look at job listings and see if they will take you with your degree and still train you. I hope this is helpful.
In California you have to get your bachelors in science then apply and study one more year to get licensed.
Is the exam difficult in California?
I love watching your videos so much! They're so helpful💕💕
Thank you so much I greatly appreciate the support :)
What's the difference between MLT nd CLS
They are the same. It is just a different name for the title.
Hi love fab vid 💕 yo I'm an international molecular microbiology student in the United Kingdom do you think I can become an clinical lab scientist?
Masters in molecular microbiology I mean! I did my bachelor's in biotechnology
I believe so but you should honestly find a job in biotech! You'll make so much more money! You have the experience so you should go for it.
Hi!. Can we chat about work? I am from Ukraine, I work as a biologist (like MLS). Thanks)
Hi how are you doing?
Nice profile picture
I love your vedios❤️ I am going for a community college diploma in Canada for MLS.
wow thank you! Have you completed community college?
I live in a small area and the only MLT Programs are community college based. Nothing is really being offered in the universities around where I live. Is their pros and cons to going to a community college? (It’s a 2 year program btw)
Hey , are you on MLT program now?
Pros: saves money while you are in school
Cons: you will get paid less in the long run
I would still choose to go to a bachelor's program. It makes more sense in the long-term. I know it is hard to leave home but thats why loans are there for financial help and you will only be away from friends/family temporarily. Best of luck I would love to hear an update!
I would love to know as well !
I have a question in Clinical laboratory sciences which field having more demand & scope ⬇️
Clinical Sciences
Hematology
Microbiology
Immunology
Molecular diagnostic
Please reply 🙏🏻
Dear can u tell me in which category I falls..I am graduated in medical laboratory technology I comes under clinical scientists or biomedical scientists..I had applied for HCPC and they are asking me in which modality I falls
Have you thought about opening a clia lab? Very lucrative and you can do covid testing
that would be cool. im sure theres a lot that goes into opening one
@@RosaPerez definitely. You can essentially get relationships with the doctors that do testing like cancer testing(pays the most) then send to larger labs. I provide working capital in the medical space and a few of my clients are making 500-2m per month doing exactly that.
💗
🤗
I've bachelor's in biology(zoology, botany, chemistry)
What can be my next step to be a MLS?
If you’re on the east coast, you can apply to get your license and work as a medical technologist. If you’re on the west coast, you’ll have to go get a second bachelor’s in medical laboratory science.
Waiting
:)
Hi Rosa! So after all the prerequisites you took (micro, chem, english, a&p, etc.), you still have to apply again before the clinical for your program for the lab training? You got accepted with a 3.0GPA. Is it a overall or is it the Science GPA? I'm taking the prerequisites right now, but I think my school program required at least a 2.8 Science GPA to get accept in.

Do not go to a community college first. You will struggle when you transfer. Community colleges are cheaper but they do not teach you as much as you’d learn at a university, you’ll be underprepared and most likely drop out once you transfer to a four year school.
ehh I think it depends. I feel like sometimes I learned better in some of the community college courses I took over ones at my 4-year. Its different for everyone.
One of the problem I encounter is that the university is not taking the community college algebra courses anymore and I took 3 of them. Now, I have to take one of their algebra courses again…. Frustrating. Is like repeating all the 3 courses again.
