The consistency in her animations for the GBA/DS versions is actually pretty impressive. Many GBA/DS versions of games are totally different with no where near as good animations. It's actually quite neat that they managed to port them over into a completely different engine and style of game.
The gba/DS version is looks like just used the 3D model of Lara, created some animation with it and, converted to a low resolution sprite. Even the GBA can do much better, that have open lara (playable tomb raider 1 port)
This game in PSP was amazing, imagine that time, play a videogame for home console in a portable console with "no diference" (In 2005 it wasnt notable the graphics diference)
Yeah PSP was almost like a PS2 on the go. Now newest iPhone is getting direct ports of AAA console/PC games like Resident Evil Village and RE4 remake. PSP was pretty much already doing that 20 years ago.
Xbox 360 texture ver Looks better then PS3 ver, And PC gamer texture ver Looks good. (I didn't play original version but I did play reboot version on PS4 ver)
PSP - impressive. PS2 - to much bloom, blur and motion blur. GC - to flat(very weak colors and contrast) OG Xbox - very impressive. PS3 - horrid frame-rate. X360 - almost Ok fps, nice visuals.

Xbox Classic simply had the best water. I feel like that the more video games advanced, the worse and worse water looks. Yes I know they are striving for that photorealistic view and all that, but damn do I miss the way water was done in the old games.
I'm also dying to know what "PC Gamer" is supposed to mean as distinct to the Windows release. It's the PC Gamer UK magazine logo but I assume that's a red herring??

The 360 has so much extra foliage it's crazy. Like miracle grow been sprinkled everywhere. If this video is totally accurate to fps the original Xbox version looks the smoothest - thinking it may be locked to 60. The PSP version is also super impressive for basically being the exact same game.
@@DTPettis in the PC version you have 2 styles to choose, 1 based more on old gen graphics and the other in the next gen graphics. At the time, the next gen style was quite expensive to run, but with today's PCs, both work well, so it's more up to each person's taste.

You can turn the X360 graphics on PC in the options, but they’re badly optimized and most of the features that looked and worked great on Xbox 360 are butchered. The PS3 version is also a port of the Xbox 360 version, and while it’s better than the PC port - shadows are extremely blocky and there are jagged lines all over the game.
Mario fanboys are keeping Nintendo alive. And I'm saying it as a DS and Switch owner. We would have many great looking PS Vita games in the past decade if only Nintendo players weren't so easily impressed with everything that Nintendo does.

PSP is very impressive, but my only complain is horrible camera. Because PSP has only one analog stick, so game is almost unplayable. I heard Anniversary runs better. I still need to find a copy.

Windows had the highest consistent frame rate w=but with washed out colors and barely any plant life it really doesn't come off as enticing to me. Ultimately I'd break it down between the first 3 I mentioned in terms of PC gamer if you have PC and then if you have a 360 Choose that for graphics or the previous gen for frames.

usually the resolution of the original xbox is 720x480 and not 640x480... a great comparison anyway, it showed all versions of the game.

I played on the PSP first and it still mostly holds up. Even the GBA version is surprisingly good.

Legend has a visual option called "Next Generation Visuals" which changes visuals from Xbox level to X360 levels.

Este juego fue un avance monstruoso en jugabilidad y gráficos para un tomb Raider, a mi me encantó, lo jugué como 10 veces en Xbox original.
