- Have you seen the tumblers etched with Citristrip Gel? They are super cool and last forever! Start with a stainless steel tumbler that has been powder coated. Then when you add the Citristrip gel it strips all the paint away giving the Tumbler a beautiful etched look.

I finally tried this! I am new at Cricut and was nervous so I watched this video a couple of times and then followed your instructions exactly and it worked! I want to do these for Christmas and now I have the confidence :-) THANK YOU!!
I LOVE the full wrap! It is beautiful. ❤
This video is fantastic! I am going to try these tomorrow. My cups are curing now. Thank you for all the details!
Best step-by-step tutorial! Thank you!
Just finished putting my stencil on this, so it can cure overnight! So excited to try the citrus trip tomorrow and see if it comes out as beautiful as yours! I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for the great tutorial. I’ve watched it several times. I would love the SVG of those flowers as well
Just etched 2 wine tumblers using your method. The designs were pretty detailed and delicate so I wasn’t sure, but it worked beautifully!! Thanks!!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! Your teaching technique is AMAZING! So easy to follow along! Thank YOU!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
I am ready to jump on the CitriStrip tumbler bandwagon and ordered my supplies tonight after watching your very clear and informative video! Thanks so much for all the extra tips.

Thank you!!!
💖🤗🥰💖🤗🥰💖🤗🥰💖
You’re so welcome 🥰
I have watched other videos and they literally put the stencil on there and then they put the stuff on there and then they let sit there for like literally 10 minutes yours came out really good
Great tutorial! Been wanting to try this & you make it look sooo easy. Thank you ❤💋
I just did flasks for my fiance, the groomsmen, and dad's for my wedding! They turned out pretty good! I for sure thing permanent vinyl is the trick I messed up on because the stripper seemed to bleed when I used removable.
Yes add the flower svg, I love it!
Haven't tried but can't wait,so awesome
I’ve watched several videos and yours is the most informative. Now I’m ready to give it a try. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this, I’m excited to give it a try!
Thank you for your tips and tricks.
Just found your channel today.... AWESOME... Subscribed immediately. Your tumbler holder is GENIUS! Love to the tip about letting vinyl cure.
Thanks Wendy!
Love the video. Worked great. I would love to try the wrap
I love your clear instructions. I'm a cricut newbie and I bought 10 tumblers to make for Christmas presents. Yikes but I'm confident I can do it with your instructions.
You can do it!
Hi, I loved your tutorial. I would love the floral design.
I have been practicing and learned alot from your video.
New subbie here. I love it!!! I just added these items to my cart & will make it this weekend!!! I love the pink one especially and would love the wrap for it.

You’re welcome!
love this want to try for sure
Loved this…anxious to try it!
Let us know how it goes!
I was expecting to see your Teal tumbler to be revealed. I was confused when you reveal the ending of the black one. I love the steps on this video looking forward to seeing all your videos.
Love this. I am starting today
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Great video!!
Looks very similar to how glass etching is done. Thanks for this!
You’re very welcome ☺️
Very cool. Thanks for this video.
Glad you liked it!
I love your tumbler holder!! I am getting my husband to make me one today. Testing the Citristrip method today!! Fingers crossed it comes out as good as yours!
You can do it! Let me know if you have nay questions =)
Thank you! This video has the best tumbler info. Now I know why I failed before.
You’re welcome ☺️
Thank you great video
Great video. Thank you!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
My Brother Jesse B sent me here. I'm definitely going to try this 👍🏻🇺🇲
Thanks! He’s an alright guy 😉
I'm going to try in the morning. No, I don't own a hair dryer either. LOL curly hair life. Thanks for all your videos!!
Second try today, greatly improved over first try, need to get lines more crisp before I would give it to anyone, but it has potential 🤓
Awesome! You’ll get there 🥰
Thank you!!
Thank You!!!
Great tutorial - I would love the floral SVG for the tumbler!
Thanks! I’ll add it today 😊
@@DailyDoseofDIY Chris, I'm not finding the floral design you used with the Citristrip.. Can you tell me where you put it? Thanks so much!
@@DailyDoseofDIY Where can I get the password to access your svgs?
Thank you ❤🥰😍
Thank you for this video. I'm going to give it another try. My first attempt was so-so and my second attempt ruined my tumbler. I have my vinyl on my tumblers and I'm leaving it on overnight as you suggested to see if I. have better luck.
Glad it helped! Let us know how it turns out!
i just tried this with another brand of paint stripper from Lowe's, half the price. Well after a few coats and several hours, it barely came off. I'm going to pick up Citristrip today to see if it will make the difference!!
Very nice
Thank you!
Love this. Can you add the wrap tumbler
Wanted to let y'all know I tried the "TAL" tumblers from Walmart. 1 black that was not the smooth kind and 1 Camo looks wrapped. The black one take 1hr 30 minutes. The camo took over 4 hours very hard to remove had to scrape with my nails. Very happy with the results. Plan on making more. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tips! I’ve been wanting to try the camo!
My process is the same except I don't do let mine sit over night nor do I use any type of heat. All of mine have worked perfectly and all the lines are crisp like they should be. I do use the same timeline to check to see if they are ready before washing.
Love this videoi. Joined the library to find the floral svg, but can't find it there. Where can I find it?
I have a few tips. If you wrap tin foil around it after you're done putting your stencil on it. And then get like a torch or even a hair dryer works and heated up really hot and then leave it and then in about an hour and then peel the tin foil off and you can literally just wipe it off you don't need to scrub it it just peels off like it was nothing. Every time I did it without using mass amounts of heat it didn't work as well.
I love your pink tumbler. I'd love if you could share that svg.
I got a weird tumble from Kohl’s and let the citriStrip set for an hour and a half. None of the pain came off. Hopefully it’s will work if I let it sit longer. What’s the longest you have let it sit in there?
Approximately how long do you apply heat after putting the vinyl on the tumbler?
I have watched the video several times. I think you suggest painted over powder coated. How do I tell the difference? I went to the link but am not ready to buy so many at once. Thank you.
Hello, my vinyl started to come off while the citrus strip was still on. I tried it 2 times. I don’t know what I did wrong. I followed all the steps please help. Are used cricut permanent vinyl. Does it matter what type of vinyl or what company is vinyl do we use?
Do you have the svg for the pink tumbler? I would love to try that one!
Can I used any gel stripping. I can’t found this one in my town
I am having trouble downloading your free design. Love your video!,
Now that you've had this video and cups out for a little bit, how do you find the etched parts hold up? Powder coated tumblers keep the steel underneath from rusting--do you think the Citristripped areas will be more prone to rusting over time with lots of use? I've been using Citristrip to prep my tumblers for design for ages, but I also go through other steps to make sure they won't rust because of the stripping, since powder coats were designed to repel most coatings. Cheers and thanks for the tutorial!
Its held up well through the dishwasher and all. I have some super old tumblers, I didn't citristrip them, but they're so old the coating naturally started coming off. They haven't rusted, so I'm thinking it will be ok.
Thank you for the video and tips! I wonder if the type of paint (and not just colour) on the tumblers makes a difference in how long to leave the chemical on. Thanks! :)
Yes I believe that is a factor as well. Some of the tumblers that have grip are thicker than the smooth ones. I'm sure it varies by brand also.
Do you have to seal them afterwards at all?
I do not see the floral SVG you were going to add?
Can you use stencil vinyl or does that tend to bleed like removable vinyl?
SO COOL! I've used citrastrip for furniture and it was so easy to use! Who knew?! My question is if it's permanent vinyl, how does it come off? And, also, thank you! I love your videos!
Thank you! Once you start washing under water it comes off pretty easily. The citristrip helps it come off too. If the citristrip is left on too long it starts dissolving the vinyl. .
@@DailyDoseofDIY aha! thanks again!!!
How do you make the holder for the tumbler?
OMG, this is a game changer! I have tried and it came out ok, only bec. I sat there and scraped the whole thing, more like your white one but you can see my whole design cuz I really worked at it! I didn't know the paint would bubble, I didn't know to keep tumbler upright (only got a bit on the edge as I had been watching it), I didn't know to wipe it down first and then to rinse. I scraped with all the gook on!! Thank you sooo much as this will help loads for the next one!!
Glad it was helpful! 🥰
Can you use plain stainless steel cups or only the powdered cups
Wow I have seen this and have no ideal what critrstrip was What another great ideal you make thing looks so easy I’m going to try this going to get supplies, can I use Cricut pen vinyl Have so much due to mystery boxes lol !! Do you have a Facebook group Thanks so much for sharing Glad I found your channel
Thanks! Cricut Permanent vinyl should work just as well.
Have you tried smart vinyl does that make a difference?
Can you use Yeti cups for this technique?
My vinyl still bubbles even after I left it sit over night and so am using permanent cricut vinyl. I’m not sure what i’m doing wrong
In regards to your purple Tumblr. Can you put the citrusstrip on the whole thing and strip it and then spray paint it and then use a citrus strip again to put a design on it?
That's a good idea! I was thinking of stripping away that section and then adding a saying in vinyl. Kind of like a bleached shirt effect. I might try a few different options with my test cups!
I use a tennis ball to put vinyl down on a matte cup it sticks a little better.
Awesome tip! Thank you!
Can u spray paint a tumbler then use the citristrip?
Im here for the floral svg 👀 🤪 can you add it please please please 🙏🏻
How do i smooth out the edges of the lettering? One strip kind of tore as well 🤦🏻♀️
I can’t find the link to which tumblers you use
I have tumblers that are stainless steel with sublimation coating- will those work for the Citrustrip method?
Me personally, I would only use my sublimation tumblers for sublimation. They cost more, not all stores carry them etc.
Hi, do you have the template for the full tumbler design with the flowers?
Great video! I don't have a heat gun. Should I use my hair dryer on high and for how long?
Yes hair dryer on high and just long enough to warm it up and work out and wrinkles that formed.
@@DailyDoseofDIY Thank you. I just prepared my tumbler with the vinyl and will wait until tomorrow to do it.
Just wondering if I can test a tumbler out from the Dollar Tree first? I'm from Canada so we don't have any Target stores here. We have Walmart's but want to do a test run on a cheaper tumbler first even though I'm sure the results won't be the same
That's a good idea! Even tho results will differ from tumbler to tumbler it will help you learn what to watch for when its done.
Can your free designs be used for small business commercial?
Can I get the link to where to get the tumblers please?
I have entered everything and I still don't see the download for this svg. Am I doing something wrong
Loved your video. I do have a question though, Is there any way to fix a tumbler that did not work? My first one the heat gun was too hot and melted the coating.lol So I have this large silver spot where it pealed off.
😀
Can you work with the spot? Like make a design part that’s bigger than the area, turn it into a flower or something?
Or just strip a bigger area and use vinyl to put a saying on the stripped out part
@@DailyDoseofDIY Thats just what I was thinking is to put a saying in it! Thanks
How do you do this all the way around?
Hey does anyone know a citristrip alternative in europe?
Where did you get the tumblers ? Love the tutorial and the designs beautiful 😊
I used these form Amazon amzn.to/3pFLuQl
@@DailyDoseofDIY thank you 😊
Lo e the video Thank you, have you try any other removal?
Can I get the floral SVG, please?
Can I use the smaller Cricut I bought to make stencils. The Joy.
Yes you can!
The tumpler has the Color before?
Are these tumblers powder coated?
Should the metal be protected from possible rusting?
I think it will be safe. I have plenty of stainless steel tumblers that aren’t painted, or ones so old the paint fell off lol. But none have rusted.
Am I missing a step? I watched twice. Did you put vinyl over your design then put the painters tape?
The permanent vinyl comes off easily? That makes me a little nervous lol
Can you use this method on glow tumblers?
I haven’t tried it on them, but it should work. Let me know if you try it out 😀
Where can I find the description? Please and thank you!!
Under the title of her video it says more, description will be there
