Amazing job
good job. a few months back I had a 2017 Impala that I couldn't do anything with. shop tried swapping BCM and Electronic power steering. id love to see some cloning/renewing of the electronic power steering units.
On the way.. BTW it's done with DC706 👍🏾
Hey. Thank you much for this video. I do something similar, but I desolder the EEPROM and read it off the board. But this is much better.
I'll buy the pogo stick clip from your store, since you've helped a lot of people.
Thanks, its always taking a risk by putting heat on a board/chip, this eliminates any possible damage that might occur due to heat, thanks for watching 👍🏾
GREAT!!!
Legit!
GREAT JOB THANKS FOR SHARING SORRY HOW MUCH THE SOFTWARE COSTS TO UNLOCK THE AIR BAG MODULE 👍👍🙏

I follow up with sps just to make sure the calibrations are correct for the vehicle. A lot of times I clone the eeprom over into brand new BCMs because I’m fast doing that then the 12 minute key learn lol
Definitely good practice.. I actually was going to do this job with the OBDSTAR DC706 but the mcu was fried by ants filling this bcm so I just did eeprom clone.. with the DC706 it's a 1 to 1 clone including flash.. saves sps license costs.. BTW you're too good man, becareful, you know if you mention youtube/globalcommerceca down the GM global A corridors at the corporate office the head of Global A security starts shaking in fear.. they might put you on the ban list with me if they know you got some secrets too 😛
@@globalcommerce7654 lol it’s funny I have gm dealerships call me to get some things done they can’t lol so yeah I got plenty of secrets. I keep waiting for more cda stuff. I’m trying to learn it but not having much luck with it.
@@autodiagytno problem, lots on the way 👍🏾
Did the radio stay locked just doing eeprom?
Better to clone CPU as well, because if you have different specs in donor and original BCM, you will get some problems
Yes a full clone is good but if from same donar vehicle with Same part number it's not necessary. In this case MCU was damaged, customer said bcm was full of ANTS! 🐜
How did you that that was the specific EEPROM chip that the info is stores in? seems like there are a few that looks just like that one.
Pretty basic information if you have some electronics background. Its' always the 24's.
Is mileage also properly transferred?
Does that chip hold the Mileage and in some cases the VIN?
EVERYTHING is transferred, it's a 1 to 1 clone. The modules become indistinguishable from another.
It means that if the chip can olso be transfer to the new one it will work
If the donar module is used and same part number.
@@globalcommerce7654#1- will cloning the donor not transfer the mileage of the donor to the receiver? If so how do you adjust the receiver’s mileage ?
Your channel is awesome by the way!!
Another question about the new eeprom clip used with your xp400 which seems much better than the former autel eeprom clip.
#2- Can this also be used during an FEM Model programming? If so, id love to purchase it because i have been through hell with the former autel clip. Please let me know
So cloning the BCM only requires EEPROM data? No MCU flash data? Is that true for all Global A vehicles?
In the case if the donar module is used and Part number is the same.
@@globalcommerce7654 That's good to know. Thanks for putting together such great content! (Let me make sure I understand. I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD LTZ. I bought a used BCM for a similarly equipped 2014 Tahoe - it has the same processor and part number as the BCM in my pickup - to use as a spare if I need it. I should - nothing's 100% guaranteed, right? - be able to take the EEPROM data from the Silverado BCM and write it to the Tahoe BCM, then use the Tahoe (donor) in the Silverado, right?)
@@bobhutchins557 yes, and you can test it.. being from a different model vehicle something might be different on the mcu image.. such as roof/dome light may not come on[example] .. try it out though, might be the same
