Great vid! I had issues with my portkey. it was SO SLOW. And the wifi antenna wouldnt properly screw completely on. when it tried to take it off, it's just stuck. about to return it lol sad bc your review made it look so good!
great video!! i just paired my bmpcc 4k with the BM5WR just now,. i'm able to control it from the monitor but the monitor isn't showing what's on my camera, the screen is the default screen. do i need to connect something else via cable? i thought that the blue tooth connection will also connect the video? thanks!
Portkeys said BM5 WR build-in with a wireless control module specially designed to connect with RED Komodo wirelessly. What I concerned about is that does it works well when wireless control RED Komodo？
hi there, i'm trying to use the False Color feature on the BM5WR (and not the false color on my BMPCC4K), But the color chart showing the IRE is Not showing up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
B/c you want no lantcy on cinema camera control - like pull focus on set for a film set. SDI provide the most reliable feedback so director, DP can see the image clearly in real time.
It is very cool and can control a lot of RED without having to mess with the buttons and dials. I hope to have it right away.

Yes it does. You can see the live demo in this video with no lantcy. You still connect via 12G SDI - wireless just control the camera :)

How come you need an SDI cable when camera and monitor communicate via WIFI?
