    Nice setup, love how quickly you can swap out shooting configs. Monitor looks like a decent option as well. More Komodo stuff if you're game. Maybe some exposure vids, workflow vids. Up to you though mate.

    Highly recommend the RED handle, especially if you like shooting handheld, that trigger button is very pleasing.

      It’s a nice handle but Feels overpriced for a record button. I’d actually love a record button on the left side of the camera

    hi there, i'm trying to use the False Color feature on the BM5WR (and not the false color on my BMPCC4K), But the color chart showing the IRE is Not showing up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    amazing video! one question slightly unrelated but what is the name of the focus ring you have on your sigma 18-35? as I currently have the nucleus nano default one but it tends to slip and move about and your one looks a lot more secure

    great video!! i just paired my bmpcc 4k with the BM5WR just now,. i'm able to control it from the monitor but the monitor isn't showing what's on my camera, the screen is the default screen. do i need to connect something else via cable? i thought that the blue tooth connection will also connect the video? thanks!

      Yeah this monitor doesn’t give wireless video feedback at all … only wireless remote control but if you can’t see what you’re controlling .. it’s kinda pointless tbh

    Nice job man! Super clean setup. Just wondering why there is still an SDI cable on your setup. Is the wireless monitor reliable? Can you run a second monitor wireless as well for client for focus ducher? Thanks man this was super helpful. You bypassed a lot of my mistakes!

      The monitor isn’t wireless for video feed. Just wireless for controlling the camera.

    Very good video!! Thanks! I'm waiting for my Komodo to arrive, still about two months. How are you going from gimbal to tripod? What plate are you using? I have a RS2 gimbal. I just got TILTA Float and now I'm thinking about all things together! How to jump from gimbal to TILTA Float to tripod THE easiest way!! anyway thanks for the video!!

      I’m not sure about that setup. But I have a ronin quick release plate made by smallrig. And that is on the tripod.       Red has a lot of different creative luts you can install on the camera. I don’t use luts on the monitor I just use the lut output off the camera

    Great setup! I actually have a Ronin M as well but didn't use it for a few months and then the batteries stopped charging! It really sucks because now I feel like it's useless. Have you run into that with your Ronin M batteries, or do you know of a fix for this?

      I’ve heard of this happening if they get to low from lack of use. I haven’t had any issues with that but I was usually using my ronin m at least once a month at minimum

    What size nato top rail did you get for underneath the side handle?

      I think it actually came with the top handle now that I think of it. It’s the exact size of the cage.

    I have the wireless to my Komodo setup, but I can't see any image on the BM5 WR. I am only using Wireless. Do I need to have a cable hooked up to the Komodo and BM5 WR in order to see an image on the monitor?

      Yeah u need a cable to get video feedback, this is not really a wireless monitor as much as it’s a wireless remote that you can use as a monitor IF you plug it in

      I don't recommend it as there have been reports of SDI ports being burned out by not using 12g SDI. Im now using these cables and they are really nice bhpho.to/3eYHmGh

    I have an issue using the portkeys monitor with the komodo, the video signal goes in and out. I tried changing the sdi res output the hz and other things, new sdi cable even new batteries on the monitor and its the same thing. It works fine but after a few mins the signal starts to go in and out help!! Am I doing something wrong?

      That’s really weird. It could potentially be an issue with the monitor. If you changed cables and it still does it, it seems like a faulty monitor. Have you tried the monitor with any other camera?

      @@LeeZavitz im going to check with another monitor. How can you tell if its a prob with the sdi port from the camera or the monitor, like what would it do if lets say rhe sdi port for damaged on the camera?

    Hey dude. Great video - quick point though, have a quick check of your SDI cable and that it's 12G. I only say because it looks like I have the same 3G cables that I used for a bit which will bust your port. (I haven't seen the whole video yet so you might mention it (sorry if so aha!!))

      Depends on the battery. 98wh usually get 2.5-3hrs. That’s also powering nucleus M

      No. It’s just the basic settings of the exposure and frame rate

      @@LeeZavitz Thanks. That’s a deal breaker for me since controlling auto focus would be THE remote function that would be most useful to me. Anything else I don’t mind controlling from the Komodos own screen, but even the Smartphone app can do tap to focus. So I guess nice try by p
      Portkeys using WiFi instead of cables like SmallHD, but without focus control it misses the mark

      Meh. I don’t really use autofocus so it doesn’t bother me. There’s also the chance they add it in firmware updates. It feels very beta to me anyway. We will have to see what the future brings.

      100% I don’t like 7” monitor on camera. It’s too big (monitor size vs camera size)

      The video feed isnt wireless from camera to monitor. Just the control over the camera settings

    Bro be careful with that Portkeys, it's fried the HDMI ports on several ZCams and it burnt out the HDMI port on two of my cameras (how I found out what it was). For SDI the general rule/order or operations is power everything on, the plug in SDI. Take SDI off first, then unplug power.
    It's a newer version so I'm sure it's good if you follow that but Portkeys had some serious issues. I've still gotta reach out to them and see if they're going to help out. Their customer service isn't bad so I'm hopeful, just a little sketch now.

      I have some 12g sdi cables. “Power issue” seems to be more of a order of connecting things when powered off AC.

    Nice rig, looks like your SDI is 3g based on the thickness, you should only be running 12g sdi @ 75ohms with your Komodo so you're aware.
