Outro: Chopin - Etude Op. 25 No. 5
Hello, I'm Rousseau, I make piano covers of classical and pop songs with a reactive visualizer. New videos every second Monday!
#Rousseau #Piano #PianoCover
Chopin. Etude Op. 25 No. 9, "Butterfly", a fitting nickname both for how it sounds, and how it looks - at least the right hand! His shortest Etude, and one of the merriest (perhaps also the predecessor to ragtime), this one is one of those pieces that gets stuck in your hands forever. Have you ever noticed the similarity between the melody and harmony of this Etude and that of the middle section of 25-5 (Wrong Note)? Although in No. 5 the melody is in the middle voice and here it is on top, it's really interesting to see how Chopin took a similar idea and developed it in completely different ways! I've always felt those two pieces are like musical cousins so I'm glad in the 'Chopin Etude release schedule' they ended up next to each other. Hope you have a nice Monday ♥

Those visuals were so awful that I thought I was going to go blind at the end of the video.
@@z1272 if you dont like it you can just not watch rousseau
@@kikischris06 I'm just saying, Rousseau usually nails his visuals and playing but in this particular video, this was one of the worst if not the worst visual of any synthesia-type videos I've ever seen. It's not like you're not allowed to criticize anything. Freedom of speech
@@z1272 Well I guess we have different opinions there... Cause I'm loving the visuals.

The nickname "Butterfly" Wasn't given by Chopin, it has its name because the right hand looks like a butterfly when you play it.
Think about who the butterfly was... man that’s deep...
Are you thinking about learning some Chopin Etudes with more time at home? This was the first Etude I ever learned as a child, and may be a good one for you to start with if you've never tackled any before, or a quick one read through if you have!
Rousseau My First chopin that i‘m practicing is the nocturne in cis-minor

Me: *notices that there are no chromatic runs*
Also Me: Who’re you, and what have you done with Frédéric?
That's actually a very very good joke unlike most! 😂👍🏻
There are some very subtle and minuet chromantics in the melody (if I'm not mistaken).
there are a couple small chromatic parts in the right hand melody over the octaves
most of the right hand is actually near-chromatic

Could u film the behind the scene??
Like if u agree and wanna see it too
This is behind the scenes!
@@Rousseau wdym??
@@Rousseau how
Not behind the scenes would have him just playing like a performer would, and we wouldn't see the notes fall
Actually he is doing lot of work in recording, setups, connecting cables to midi etc and we are only seeing this beautiful piano and synthesia.
So he is doing so much other things which calls scenes and we are watching only behind the scene.
Edit: He used scenes instead of scene
I think he has brains on every his fingers, like octopus.

I think the piece is called Butterflies not because the melody reminds of butterflies in flight, but because the pianist's hands move with the grace and elegance of a butterfly.
This glitch leds are amazing! And I knew this piece last month, great performance Rousseau! Keep it up. :)
I've been waiting for this!!!
I wonder how many attempts does it take to record a piece like this one🤔🤔 when i tried to record something, i always did mistakes even tho i knew the piece😅💁🏼 you are amazing, BIG RESPECT
The more you practice the more consistent you get. There's no such thing as "knowing a piece". I bet it really didn't take that many takes to get this. Just look at concert pianists who can have an hour long recitals with little to no mistakes.

Fantastic as always, your channel is the reason I started learning piano last year, and your interpretations are always some of my favorites. I’m excited to see what you have in store for the 3 million video (I’m personally hoping for Mephisto Waltz or El Contrabandista). Thanks Rousseau, we all appreciate you!
