Lzzy Hale said in an interview: "You asked for it... So we are pleased to present our video for one of our favorite tracks off our album 'Vicious', 'Do Not Disturb'. This song is based off a true story of mine about a very fun night I had overseas that all started with the pick-up line 'I think we should make out.' And since it's October... the boys and I decided to spooky up the story with a few, ahem... minor exaggerations." In a recent interview with Revolver, Lzzy elaborated on how she went about writing "Do Not Disturb". I grew up on a lot of my parents' music: David Lee Roth talking about sex, THE ROLLING STONES talking about sex, CINDERELLA talking about sex," she said. "[The music has] always been an extension of what I'm interested in and what I like, but I'm also proud to come from a position of power when it comes to sex, because that is a part of my life, and a part of many women's lives - I mean, we think about it just as much, if not more, as guys do! "So, to be unafraid to own that on tape was very freeing for me in the studio, to the point that I actually felt bad for Nick, who has kids and has known me for years - he's kind of like a cousin. When we were recording the vocals, he stopped the tape and was, like, 'Um, is that what you've always said?' I told him yeah, and he was, like [in a sheepish tone], 'All right, let's just continue ... I feel a little uncomfortable, but it's okay.'" She continued: "It's based on a true story. I had a lot of fun with a man and a woman a few years ago, on this amazing tour overseas. It was one of these situations where I was going to another country the next day, and I was never going to see this woman again, so it was just this freeing moment: Anything goes. The first lyric of the song, 'I think we should make out,' comes from my icebreaker. I remember getting up for my flight the next day. I flipped the sign on the hotel room to 'Do Not Disturb,' and was, like, 'Ah, I should write that down.' [Laughs] "I ended up writing most of the lyrics on the plane not really knowing where it was going to land, but I'm glad that we did it. It's truly one of my favorite songs on the record, because you know what it's about without there being any profanity. I don't know how they're going to take this one on the radio. [Laughs] Like, are they going to bleep out some things, or leave it be? I'm excited for that."
Yep, 100% Rocky Horror jokey vibe is what I got too... I suspect if the video had matched the lyrics (like that "audio" one) it wouldn't be allowed on UA-cam! :)
I discovered Halestorm last week by hearing Uncomfortable passing on the radio. Then I searched them on UA-cam and I listened to some of their stuff. They completely blew me away, I think there's been only one time in my life when I've been into a band more than I'm now in Halestorm. It's incredible, really.
When I listen to this song, in particular, it reminds me of how I was first introduced to Halestorm... by an early 50’s colleague who told me she and her daughter liked them and I should give a listen. I still crack up imagining her rocking out to a song with the lyrics in this one with her kid.
Yeah, just hate how UA-cam has started forcing other video suggestions OVER the end of the videos now, even with annotations turned off they are still there. Makes it so hard to see that epic werewolf ending :(
I'm uncomfortable. Also you could say that about any song, since, like, half of them are damn sexual...like why? It's just annoying amd ruins the music.
I agree, the video is sure not what I expected it to be when I heard the song. I was expecting a little more riske, since the song about meeting in the hotel room for sex.
It's like Rocky Horror but with Elvira Mistress of the Dark instead of Frank-N-Furter. Not at all what i expected but I like it, honestly a more litteral video would have been to obvious, and it looks like the band had a blast recording it. This song has grown a lot on me, it was especially good live.
Lizzy Hale has one of the most perfect and amazing, versatile genre voices I've ever heard. Would love Halestorm to tour Australia. Keep on Rocking Lizzy.
@IFaisal The GOAT, thank you so much! I also have a song who is only 17 months older than the girls!! So, that truly was a busy & somewhat crazy time! Rock on! ✌😊🎂🎂
Couple: "They tied us to the bed and threatened to kill us but it's cool, let's have a drink together." Lzzy: *Starts jamming out* Couple: "Ight Imma head out"
Love the Elvira Mistress of the Dark clothes and the whole cheesy 80s horror vibe. Perfect for the type of rock song that they don't make anymore, besides you guys of course.
Oh wow I love this song but the comical element of seeing such a sexually suggestive song fitted perfectly with a B-rated horror movie themed video is the perfect twist I'd expect from such an outgoing and adaptive band, can't wait to see what the next UK tour is like 👏
Halestorm came here to Norfolk VA literally a couple weeks ago, they give the same energy live as they do in their songs. I hope for your sake they do tour in the UK so you can see them. Lzzy is just as sexy as hell in person as you see her
You realize that the song is factual right? She admitted it in an interview that she had a threesome on her last night in one of their tour cities. I would bet there are more than a few fans wishing it was them!
In a word....AWESOME! I'm showing my age here but I gotta say that Elvira would be so proud of you guys. Also some of Alice Cooper's style. Dark, campy, outright funny in spots. Alice should have made a cameo
Who ever decided that this song needed a Rocky Horror Picture Show themed video deserves a raise.
This reminded me of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).
You are so TOTALLY correct!
Lmao! I was thinking the same thing. I love it too!
Yes i love halerstorm
Looks a little like 'Arsenic & Old Lace' to moi. Lul!😹 With 'Hotel Cali'? Lul!😹Lzzy's wicked sense of Humor! Lmao!!!

I love her so much...
She is such a badass. So unrepentant and it’s great.
Why do I feel like she grew up on Rocky Horror as well?
Dvdrddffdd!!!?!!!!!!!!!
Wdxddxfs!!!!!!!!
Loving the rocky horror picturesque look. Chef Arejay is the best one!!
Yep, 100% Rocky Horror jokey vibe is what I got too... I suspect if the video had matched the lyrics (like that "audio" one) it wouldn't be allowed on UA-cam! :)
My first thought exactly.
Justin Key you know that’s true!
Arejay should keep that mo! :)
He always ends up playing chefs XD
Well, this certainly had me bursting with antici-
pation.
Okay so I'm not crazy its totally supposed to be RHPS
You won the comment section
This is the best comment ever!!!
Well... guess you got that relief...
With a healthy side order of Elvira...
I can feel a Familiar Taste of Poison in those cups of tea....
YENOOL I was thinking the same thing. Great minds think a like. BUT, even better minds listen to HALESTORM !!!
Exactly where my mind went. That’s my fave by Lzzy.
Me too, but idk I'm conflicted
I'm also conflicted. Uncomfortable choosing my fave. The responses may be vicious if u don't agree. :)
@@ChrisWhite-vs6ud oh don't worry I'm Not An Angel, you'll take away my Innocence?
I think lzzy is my long-lost daughter or sister. Luv this tune- takes me back to the wild yrs. LZZY ROCKS ❤

Same here and since than, I've been a fan of Halestorm :)
This is a perfect way of meeting awesome rock bands.
This song literally the most chaotic bisexual song I’ve ever heard and I love it.
I absolutely love it too!!
This reminded me of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).
It's actually a song making fun of a guy who wanted to take LZZY to a room in the hotel they stayed at.
There's no Bi. You're gay.

Lzzy hale looks alot like pat benatar with short hair. She's badass every song she sings is amazing
Producer: Lzzy, what do you wanna do in the Do Not Disturb video?
Lzzy: Doing things with werewolves!
Producer: Lzzy no!
Lzzy: Lzzy yes!
I understand that reference
Yeah, just hate how UA-cam has started forcing other video suggestions OVER the end of the videos now, even with annotations turned off they are still there. Makes it so hard to see that epic werewolf ending :(
This is me all the fricking way lol 😂😂😂
I'm pleased to see a video from them that isn't just performance-based. I like the more creative ones.
Total 'Tales From the Crypt' vibes. Love it!
ANyone loving this song in 2020? Seriously, i'm addicted to this video and the song..just perfection
So... that's most definitely not how I was expecting this video to end.
( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂 ded
Pretty much wasn't expecting the whole video to be that cheesy.
This maybe their most underrated song not sure how it's not more popular.
BUT HOW DOES YOUR BROTHER FEEL ABOUT THIS! HE MUST FEEL...... UNCOOOOOOOOOMFRTAAAAAAAAABLE!
I'm uncomfortable. Also you could say that about any song, since, like, half of them are damn sexual...like why? It's just annoying amd ruins the music.
JUST TO MAKE YOU UUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNCOMFORTABLE

"I think we should make out." This song starts out great!
I adore how different it is from Halestorm's previous music videos
i prefer the first video ua-cam.com/video/Lr8hDEQoXcU/v-deo.html. reminds me of sin city^^
@@generalsaufenberg4931 There goes my top comment, dammit.
Man I love when groups do real videos like the ol days with MTV and VH1, rock on guys .... and gal
Not what I imagine when listening to the song, but my word was that a hilarious video!!
RIP english
Ha what else would you expect?
But yeah it's like an old school horror film except the content would not have been allowed back in the day haha
Well its either the munsters sleepover or it would playout like a softcore porn video.
I agree, the video is sure not what I expected it to be when I heard the song. I was expecting a little more riske, since the song about meeting in the hotel room for sex.
Some scenes mimic rocky horror

Yes! I've been waiting for this one. Was very curious to see how you would turn this into a video. Love it. Classic Addams family vibes here
I thought more of Rocky Horror Picture Show with maybe a touch of Elvira. But still an awesome video
Yeah you're right. If you like this you might like my music! Check it out if you want!
I think it actually has more of a Horror Picture Show vibe
@@CollPStone-kk1jk yeah I think you're right
i'm sad that i just found halestorm today. goddamn i love their stuff.
Same here ,April 6 2021
same here, Its probably about a year and a half or so and they are incredible!
Lizzy Hale... The modern day Queen of Rock...\m/
This song made me FALL in literal love with Miss Hale and this band
Morticia,Vampira and Elvira. You can add Lzzy Hale to that list of dark seductresses now!
You forgot Lilly Munster!
Lzzy's always had a place on that list.
Lzzy hale is a friggin goddess. i love everything about her
Kickass song. I hear it almost every day on the radio while working.
Damn. Just checked tickets for irving texas. fricken 200+ a whack. I'd love to see em again, and this video shows exactly why. Keep rocking Lzzbians.
She's just awesome, so in love with her talent.
is a band
I LOVE the Rocky Horror vibe this video has going on!
How is this song not being played on every rock station 24X7? It is so much better than some of the new crap being played.
The mustache on Arejay is the serotonin I needed for the rest of the year.
Lizzy Hale has one of the most perfect and amazing, versatile genre voices I've ever heard. Would love Halestorm to tour Australia. Keep on Rocking Lizzy.
I think they are visiting you guys this year. only 2 or 3 shows tho.
Love the " rocky horror picture show " vibe. Thank you so much ! !
Just what I need to celebrate lzzy’s birthday
Thank you guys for the head's up on Lzzy's birthday! I have twin daughters that turn 33 on 10/11! Wait, that means I'm old AF!! 😮😉✌😂
Apparently a threesome is what she wants for her birthday. I don't want to be the guy who denies Lzzy 😍😂
Maggie Rezac happy birthday to your daughters ❤️
@IFaisal The GOAT, thank you so much! I also have a song who is only 17 months older than the girls!! So, that truly was a busy & somewhat crazy time! Rock on! ✌😊🎂🎂
Lzzy is so beautiful in this mv! Yep, I think I'm in love
Halestorm are so underrated.
I love this song
You probably love the sound of pigs farting too.
wanky 00
what the fuck is that supposed to mean?
I wouldn’t say they are underrated, why you assume that? They are played everyday on my local radio station.
that verse bass tho

The contempt for the pod is possibly the funniest thing about it. Love all 3 of the lads. Never disappoint.
😆 I love this. Also, how do I make a reservation?... 🤔🤔🤔
I'm digging the Rocky Horror vibe in this :)
Her voice reminds me of Pink. I really like their sound!
You need to hear the live cover of.. Bad Romance to get a feel of Lzzy vocal range.. Your welcome..
Happy Belated Birthday to the beautiful Lzzy Hale!!! Just for the record, Lzzy... I'd join you in a room with a "Do Not Disturb" sign ANYDAY!! 😉😘💋
Meanwhile Lzzy’s ghost from familiar taste of poison...
Hilarious!
Halestorm has by far the best music video LOVE- LOVE- LOVE THEM ALL !!!!!!
When i last saw Halestorm in concert she threw out a note to the crowd when she was singing this song. It was fucking madness. melee for the note lol.
2:01 they look so disappointed and the people on the bed have the most ‘wtf’ faces I love it
The bass line is what makes this song...
Was looking for this comment lol
The bass is amazing in this song
Did you know that in the Atlantic City, NJ Hard Rock Hotel, that Lzzy Hale's outfit is in a display case.... right next to Slash's outfit!
Love the Rocky Horror Picture Show reference...that's one of my all time favorite Tim Curry movies
Couple: "They tied us to the bed and threatened to kill us but it's cool, let's have a drink together."
Lzzy: *Starts jamming out*
Couple: "Ight Imma head out"
Lzzy's face at 2:05 makes me melt
One of the BEST halestorm songs ever
Golly gee! This reminds me of all the times that me and my sweetheart used to play backseat bingo up at make out point in the summer of 1957.
Yes, please continue making more of these story oriented music videos, great stuff!
Love the Elvira Mistress of the Dark clothes and the whole cheesy 80s horror vibe. Perfect for the type of rock song that they don't make anymore, besides you guys of course.
this turned left and then turned right and i'm not disappointed.
I'm literally waiting for a bad song from this group, don't think its gonna happen!!!!
It's never going to happen you're wasting your time😂
after a decade of following there journey I'm beyond convinced that lizzy could sing the phone book and make it badass.
Still vibing to this years later 🔥🔥🔥
rocky horror picture show, with a touch of Adams family, and a dash of twilight, seems the perfect combination
This is one of the sexiest songs I've ever heard in my life I just wish the video was as good as the song

How DARE you call The Rocky Horror Picture Show "B-rated"!!!😝 I freaking love the video AND the movie too👍
Someone clearly has not seen rock horror
Hale is such a great vocalist
Halestorm seems to have a new album out every 3 years, vicious was released in 2018 so they should have a new album out this year.
Let's hope so!
Awesome !
I was at your Paris live.
You were incredible !
Such a strong voice !

My heart will not stop racing right now. Happy Birthday Lzzy!!!🎂
That drumbeat, followed by her heavy sigh, followed by the lyrics "lets take out clothes off" is when I decided song has lovemaking music potential.
She's already a beautiful Goddess-then she pulled the Elvira look-WOW!!!
I imagine this being one of the most fun videos to record tbh
Love it! Joes expressions in the elevator just make me laugh.
The solo tho 🔥🔥🔥
Damn i love this band i have been listening to this song since Monday
LOVE IT! Did not expect a 60ies/early 70ies era euro-horror-style video for this, but it's effin awesome

This is so Rocky Horror I love it.
