one of the best Rock bands, maybe THE best female Rock singer, ever, and they got ignored by the music industry because being White isn't approved of in post Obama America... my first Rock concert was Pink Floyd in 1978, Ive seen countless live performances and Lzzy can fucking sing like no one else

Alright, I NEVER comment on videos but I have to say.. If you get a chance to see Halestorm live, GO! They were amazing. She is such a vocal powerhouse and really lets loose live, she came out acapella and stunned the whole crowd. They weren't even the headliner, but they should've been. Love that chick.

i love how Lzzy is the rhythm guitarist and she plays the heavy ones, explorer, LP, flying V, while their lead guitarist plays lightweights, SG, telecaster, etc.

madmartigan4077 in all fairness though, knowing Lzzy, if she wanted to, she would do it, damn the torpedoes and somehow make it work.
***** I play bass primarily, but also rhythm guitar when needed, and I can honestly say that my biggest concern is size and weight. At 5'5", I'm a pretty small guy, and I have the added fun of shorter arms and fingers too. I own exactly one guitar, a Gibson SG Special Faded. I got lucky when I discovered that my favorite guitar looks-wise was also one of the lightest out there. I also found that the Special Faded is even lighter than a Standard or even a regular Special due to the minimal finish and minimal flash, which suits me fine. Like you said, it is usually set to the rhythm pickup, which gives it more bass oomph and growl. My primary bass is an Ibanez neck-through (they don't use real names, and I forget the numerical name it was given) that has a thinner body than a Fender but isn't a short scale like a Gibson EB or a Hofner Beatle Bass. The only other neck-throughs cost twice as much, and even though I want a Rickenbacker 4003 Mapleglo, it just ain't happening right now. I can just manage a standard scale, and the thinner neck means I can get my fingers around it easier. I'm still a wuss though; I put flatwound strings on it, lowered the action and tune it a half step down (E flat, A flat, etc.) to make it easier to play. They both still have stock pickups, because they sounded fine when I played them through the amps before I bought them. I have a friend who swaps pickups out pretty often, and after playing a few gigs with him, watching him switch guitars every other song, I realized that my Beethoven self can't hear the difference. So, I don't worry about it much and just have fun playing.

i love how this has kind of an 80's sound but it's modern enough not to sound outdated. about fucking time we had a woman back on guitar not afraid to ROCK!

Such a solid in your face band that just absolutely keeps bringing it over and over. In this venue you can count the truly great front women on one hand. I came late to the party, but this woman is truly iconic. As a musician playing and working for over 30 years, I don't know anyone that can bring what she has to the table. An amazing girl with an amazing band. Just Phukin' Awesome!

I've seen these guys 4 or more times live and Lzzy has an amazing set of pipes. They never seize to astound me at concerts with their performance. In fact they got better and better each time I saw them. They opened up for Theory of a Deadman at a concert here a long while ago and more than half of the people in the pact Shrine gym left after Halestorm was done. Just proving how fucking awesome they are that quite a few people only came to see them and left when they were done lol.

This is another great song from a band that recently caught my ear. The lead vocalist is a girl with an amazing powerful rock voice....they sound like a really good 80's rock band but are updated in their fashion....I love that roller derby is featured in this video :)

I saw them for the first time several years ago at Kansas City Mo Rockfest and nobody really knew who they were then and i got right down front and up close. After they became big you could never get that close again unless you were there way ahead of time. Best damn show i been to to this day.
