    Thanks for the review Williams. For those that are having trouble with getting adapter off Mic holder. Its there, you just need a Quarter or dollar coin to unscrew it at bottom.

    I bought this stand. Spent an hour trying to figure out a way to attach my snowball to this stand. Couldn't figure out. Packed it back and decided to return it. Started Google-ing "Best mic stand for blue snow ball". Clicked on your video. Unboxed my stand that I ordered. Profit??? $_$ Thank You for saving my the frustration. Liked and subbed.

    Thank you so much. This was very helpful. I got a Blue Snowball mic for gameplays, voice acting, music, narration, ect. I got the Blue Snowball and the Pad thing just yesterday and I got the Stand just today. I had no idea how to connect it until I watched your video. +sizzlin bacen The screw like the stand is cheap plastic. for me that's just fine because im safe. but other people find themselves stripping the screw because it's too tight. so then i recommend buying a metal one (read description) but if you respect your equipment, it will last you a long time.

  • @Dazia
    @Dazia 10 років тому +4

    Thank you! This stand is such a steal, and I couldn't find anywhere about it swiveling so you solved my problems.
    Now the REAL question is, how in the world do you get your Snowball to sound so nice and be so loud? Mine is so quiet and I have to use secondary programs to boost it + it picks up so much background noise even on the #2 setting lol!

    • @ethanstaton642
      @ethanstaton642 9 років тому +1

      Dazia Gaming Yeah, the snowball's ridiculously quiet. I don't know how he does it, but I use OBS to record, and it has a setting to turn up the mic audio

    • @whitemageserenia
      @whitemageserenia 9 років тому +1

      Dazia Gaming thinkin about getting one of these myself actually, hopefully I can mount it properly

    • @Dazia
      @Dazia 9 років тому

      Whitemage Serenia It's super easy to install! The only thing I don't like is that I sometimes hit my desk, and it REALLY picks up on that. Sounds like I hit the microphone with a large spring if you can imagine such a sound lol. It might be the way I have it setup or that it's simply how it is. The stand is still great for it though :)

    • @whitemageserenia
      @whitemageserenia 9 років тому

      Dazia Gaming alright, I'll definitely look into it, I'm thinking if I do get it though, I might try to install it upside down and let it hang from the upper part of my desk, but I dunno if that'll work. It's something to try at least. I know it swivels, which is a good thing, but I don't know if I can make it lean from the base part of it or if it only bends at the mid part. I really dn't know but I'm sure I can work something out

    • @Dazia
      @Dazia 9 років тому

      If mine wasn't pushed up against a wall, I'd try to rotate it fully around to test it for you but alas, it's kind of stuck unless I move my heavy ass desk lol.
      I think if you simply secure it on the front top area of the desk normally, just rotate the base so it faces towards you, then bend it down quite a bit :) If you do it upside down, it won't bend enough D: IDK if that makes sense, hopefully it does! But basically, I don't see why it wouldn't work secured on the top of your desk :)

  • @scratchcrow8606

    Just like many other people here I would like to express my gratitude for this explanation. I would have never thought to check the underside of the additional part for a compatible thread. Thank you.

  • @Soulllesss
    @Soulllesss 7 років тому +8

    Got this about a year ago and used the supplied black thread to put the Snowball onto the stand. Fast forward a year later when I want to change stand and the black thread is stuck inside the microphone and will not come out. I attempted to use a coin and a knife but it ended up chipping the plastic engravings making any chances of it coming out almost impossible. Pretty annoying, I had to buy a new microphone.
    Tip for anyone: Use a metal thread, don't use plastic threads.

    If you unscrew the triangle thing and flip it the other way then you'll have the mic face the correct way.

    • @kingsley15
      @kingsley15 8 років тому +2

      At the start of the video you can see the triangular piece with three silver screws. if you remove those screws you can just simply flip it so that the piece going into the mic is upright... However, that metal piece that goes into the mic should be able to swivel up, I have my snowball on a different mic arm and it does exactly that.

    • @Nostradamus1981
      @Nostradamus1981 7 років тому +2

      I had all the same questions and decided to just find out for myself. I've already done the work for you. Just be careful with it, you get what you pay for and it is cheaply made.

    Simple things help...
    Last week I bought the same mic & boom arm. Set it up like you did but sound was low. O had the mic hovering over my head.
    I see where you place your mic. I moved mine there & wow, BIG difference. Appreciate the video, Thank You

      The blue snowball has a problem where it has to be directly in front of your mouth to get it to hear you.

    Luckily, last yearish(I'm only just getting around to getting an arm now lol) I went to my local music store(Long & McQuades) and asked them about this and they gave me, for free, a gold adapter that fits into my snowball and makes boom arms compatible without this kind of modification.
    They told me that they usually have so many of them on hand because people don't need them or forget them or w.e, that if you ask, or chat them up a little bit(since usually they are friendly there), they will either give you it for free or for a couple bucks. Thanks for this video man! I know which arm I'm going with now! :D
