Then they start shouting down the mic "POINT! POINT!" Because a tracer has gone to point while the other 5 people come top this is me trying to climb out of gold and plat as well Just have to check so often where your team are because it is never where you expect
This is exactly why I'm so glad medals are being done away with. The Dva probably feels as if they're contributing because they have Gold elims as they're sitting shooting their shotguns at everyone. Despite the fact that they're doing one damage on average, they're probably like, I HAVE GOLD ELIMS, 0 DPS!
I quite honestly have never seen someone be so good at doing everything wrong with DVA. Its almost as if they were trying to see how often they could get de-meched. i swear people love to play dva in bronze since if you shoot in the general direction of the enemy it makes le funny hitmarker sound effect even at 40 meters letting you think you are doing something
Thank you for all your tips and info Mr Flats. I never ever thought that you would spectate but I needed the wake up call. I started using D.va after dealing with many games of people not wanting to go counters against Pharah or Echo.
If this is you in the video you should look up guides on finding an optimal mouse sensitivity for overwatch, and practice aiming and tracking. On DVA look to break into 6k hero damage per 10 in your stats with deaths below 4 per 10. DVA is a close ranged assassin, you execute vulnerable people at close range, and disengage with boosters before they can retaliate. theres a lot more to it than that obviously but you should focus on getting your damage per 10 up first (while keeping deaths per 10 down) good luck.

The issue with many dva players even going into gold is that they just waste her potential. They aren't diving, and acting like a main tank so feeding and not doing anything
diving takes skills man, you gotta select your target and dive wisely like go for heals first or isolated dps, diving head first into the enemy team is just feeding.
The issue with gold DVA players who dive is that they press shift into 6 people and are then stuck lol. If they do dive they also do a fairly poor job of supporting the dive and instead focus on getting a kill instead of keeping a teammate alive.
It doesn't get any better in plat, and even in diamond there are players that don't really understand how to play her. I'm genuinely confused how these players ever made past 3k. Did they get boosted by friends? I've legit seen some ~3200 D.vas that should be in mid-gold at best. They don't peel for supports, they don't challenge enemy DPS off of high grounds, they don't help the main tank. They get barely any value. How the hell did they get up to that SR? But yeah, generally you only start getting good D.vas on your team when you hit master. Doesn't happen that much under 3500 SR

I think players like this stay so far away because it's easier to aim, as in, less mouse movement. You could see them get overwhelmed and give up on easy kills when they got up close. They just lack the confidence in their mechanics to be aggressive. Try an aim trainer. Experiment with sensitivity. Maybe try Rein fr
@@ruisurengai lvl 181 isn't that much you don't have time to learn the way to play every character But i agree with the comment on top, i don't understand how some people have a plat border and still play like that Dva (if you play QP or MH you probably met some people like that)
I once had someone tell me to play Dva like an angry junebug trying to eat someone's tongue. I think they could benefit from that advice. It'd also help if they had more information on the game and their mechanics. I feel like a lot of people don't know details about what their abilities can do (for example: I didn't know you could stop Orisa's pull for like three months of playing her, dva boosters can be self canceled by melee, mercy's ga can be canceled, things like that) Abilities don't get a lot of detail on them on the hero screen and you can only learn about them from someone else or trying things out to see what happens.
im sorry but as a D.Va main myself, this was so painful to watch, i almost fell off my chair. the reaction time, the running away, the baby d.va charging, the aiming(lack of). it hurts mama...it hurts

Me literally crying at the fact she isn’t eating reighn firestrikes to prevent for free ult charge, it’s actually driving me insane my dva may be bad but having that instinct to do that when my team is grouped up has been carved into my bones
The worst part of playing low ranks is there are way too many players who refuse to learn the kit of the high-skill Heroes they arbitrarily chose to one trick. People like that pick DVA because they get to survive as baby DVA after feeding, and the cope is that they "didn't die."
After checking out the comment section i realized just how much Flat's personality bleeds into how people think. I do think this player's... defintely the opposite of good, and it's funny to see Flat's reaction to his gameplay. That's what they signed up for when they sent the video to Flats afterall. The comments however, could be a tad bit lighter, since we're still talking about a person, and their performance on a game (competitive or otherwise) shouldn't be used as an occasion to bash on their intelligence/humanity They still deserve full respect, and should be treated like a person. I'm not referring to the people actually putting an effort into understanding the flaws and preconcieved notions the player has of the game and then stating what they think is the issue, but rather people that bash on the player as if they were supposed to know all the ins and outs of the game and that, when that's not it, are considered idiots. People that play bad are not stupid, nor are they doing it specifically to make other people rage. This player did not flame anyone of his teammates, nor ever stopped to "look at tinder", so it's safe to assume they were focussing on their gameplay. It's cool to have a serie like this, but let's not make it into a bullying circle, it'd be nice to have a community that's ready to help newbies, rather than bashing against them and making them even less likely to play, thus, reducing the player base even more than what it already is.
dont worry too much about it, the most toxic comments come from virgins who only have their diamond rank as their only accolade in life, literally bullying ow players who are worse than them is the only thing that makes them feel proud about themselves in life
Yeah, this video is the reason why I leave QP games where Dva is either in my team or the enemy team. 4 minutes in and this is already painful to watch I am glad to hear flat’s preaching for tanks to get in there because as a support main(switching to tank when ow 2 comes out) the games I win in silver are the ones where I’m able to facilitate the tank that gets in the enemy’s face

tbf zen and mercy have very low healing input so it’s hard to play really aggressive with that support lineup, they should’ve honestly just switched off dva to like orisa or something considering how passively they play aswell
@@adeline333 Mercy/Zen is actually all about being aggressive. You have to overwhelm the enemy with Damage before the low healing becomes a problem. I Mercy duo with a Zen in Diamond/Masters and we can make it work with pretty much any Tank Combo as long as the DPS are aggressive and follow up. Now tbf that’s 3000+ so a little harder to replicate in Bronze lol

D.va: "NERF THIS!"
This was the MOST jaw dropping video I have ever seen from you. Im in shock.
4 seconds to realize there's a turret standing in front of him. 2 seconds shooting it to realize it was his team's turret lol
I quite honestly have never seen someone be so good at doing everything wrong with DVA. Its almost as if they were trying to see how often they could get de-meched. I've never seen someone play her and have high noon go off right in front of them while having A FULL DM and just stare at them! Like...what!?!? And that bomb on the roof!? I don't even think I could do that if I tried. 🤦🏿♂️
Did anybody notice, that he didnt absorb any moira orb or firestrike with Mattix in the Whole match?
When Overwatch came out I was genuinely confused as to what defense matrix does (it was also shit back then due to it being a cooldown and activating it started a 6 second uncancelable DM) and therefore never used it properly.
This player is stuck in that moment in time.
I only play quick play, mainly because I just play for fun, but also because I always feel I'm not good enough for competitive. These videos give me the confidence that I am.
People play the same manner :D.
You have just a little higher risk to be flamed in competitiv but otherwise...
If you win a lot and have a good MMR, you can play with people ranked platinium/diamond...
A ranked player is not necesserely better, he just play another mod, don"t worry haha

2:02 we rarely see vods where we can say that the sens is too low, we generally see vods where sens s way too high (it will almost seems like the crosshair is jumping and aim is not smooth) and we are like, "woah, whats that? is that like 25000 edpi" this one is a rare vod where the sens is low
2:45 flats pointed out how the sens is way too low, this is an example where he struggles tracking the ana and the crosshair is lagging wayy behind ana, that what happens when sens is too low and you dont move the mouse enough to track enemies that are too close to you
take a shot every time they use their defense matrix
you will be cold sober by the end of the video
FACTS!!!
It's like Bronze players can't do more than one mechanic at a time. Something like flying and shooting with Dva is like trying to divide by 0 for them. Thinking about this makes me want to watch a Bronze Genji or Tracer.
i swear people love to play dva in bronze since if you shoot in the general direction of the enemy it makes le funny hitmarker sound effect even at 40 meters letting you think you are doing something
Thank you for all your tips and info Mr Flats. I never ever thought that you would spectate but I needed the wake up call. I started using D.va after dealing with many games of people not wanting to go counters against Pharah or Echo.
Good luck man, you can only go up from here!
It’s a roast haha. You made a good candidate I appreciate you. :P
Its so weird seeing the old UI at this point, especially the kill feed

@@TheYetixOUTx people are toxic, if a team loose usually Is Just a team diff, all could do Better and all do mistakes, in low ranks there are tons of mistakes for each players.
So Just ignore toxic people and focus on your gameplay, maybe rewarch your games and see yourself from another prospective to see what went wrong in any situation. It helps a lot.
Mute toxic people of they are streaming at mic, but Always join teamvoicechat and never leave It cause sometimes there are kind people that gives good calls and plans: Just mute the toxic, ignore what they are saying About you and do your best.
I had a toxic DPS non my team ( went phara) he was screaming at me on the tank role. I admit that this match i did not play well, It was Just a "no no day". I did not reply to him, at the end of the match we Lost, he insulted me and left the game, then Mercy wrote in chat: " i was pocketing him ( phara) all the time, with dmgboost and heal, i heal Little to none DMG ticks" ( basically if Mercy DMG boost, know if DPS Is landing shots or not, Mercy was Just reporting that he was toxic all the game but actually missed almost all his shots.
It was NOT only that phara's fault, i admit i played really bad, but still he was screaming all the time and at the same time he was doing really bad himself.
People are Just supertoxic, especially now cause they maybe in ow1 they were thinking "i'm hard stuck in bronze cause of my team" and now we all placed way lower than out previous rank, so this particolar match was in bronze during my placements. Guess what? I placed silver 2 with tank, so even highter than this guy's entrare carrier peak, he still was blaming me instead of focusing on his poor gameplay. It Just Do not worth It, let them alone with their anger and have fun, you Will climb if you focus on yourself
The character literal name is D.VA and their still not diving with her XD
It doesn't get any better in plat, and even in diamond there are players that don't really understand how to play her. I'm genuinely confused how these players ever made past 3k. Did they get boosted by friends? I've legit seen some ~3200 D.vas that should be in mid-gold at best. They don't peel for supports, they don't challenge enemy DPS off of high grounds, they don't help the main tank. They get barely any value. How the hell did they get up to that SR?
But yeah, generally you only start getting good D.vas on your team when you hit master. Doesn't happen that much under 3500 SR
@@Huqe I not everyone is good on every hero, dva is probably 1 of my weaker tanks currently because I haven't really player her with allot of thought process going into it in a while. If you use your brain you can hardcarry as dva.
Like put me on dva in gold instead of 2900 and I'll own all these noobs (yes pun intended) because the game just goes slower and is easier to read.
I’m on console and this video gives me hope. I gave up on comp a few seasons back as I felt like hard stuck bronze matches were less fun than qp and arcade. But this d.va wasn’t peeling, wasn’t clearing off high ground, wasn’t catching firestrikes, wasn’t using dm to protect the other tank after shield break. Flying in instead of walking in from the side and flying out. Maybe I have a chance. I think I’ll try comp again, in October
Good luck. You sound a lot more knowledgeable than this waste of time player...
@@ReizokoRyu No need to hate man, they're clearly new to overwatch and fps games in general. Everyone is allowed to want to improve. They know their mistakes now and with a more humbled attitude and educational mindset, they can climb.
Good Gawd. This is painful to watch as a DVa player. I'm only silver/gold level at the best of times, but this is unbelievable. That play at the end of round two with the high noon and the wasted bomb was like chewing tin foil.

It'd also help if they had more information on the game and their mechanics. I feel like a lot of people don't know details about what their abilities can do (for example: I didn't know you could stop Orisa's pull for like three months of playing her, dva boosters can be self canceled by melee, mercy's ga can be canceled, things like that) Abilities don't get a lot of detail on them on the hero screen and you can only learn about them from someone else or trying things out to see what happens.

this gameplay made me feel so much better about my own gameplay 😭
The worst part of playing low ranks is there are way too many players who refuse to learn the kit of the high-skill Heroes they arbitrarily chose to one trick. People like that pick DVA because they get to survive as baby DVA after feeding, and the cope is that they "didn't die."
After checking out the comment section i realized just how much Flat's personality bleeds into how people think.
I do think this player's... defintely the opposite of good, and it's funny to see Flat's reaction to his gameplay. That's what they signed up for when they sent the video to Flats afterall.
The comments however, could be a tad bit lighter, since we're still talking about a person, and their performance on a game (competitive or otherwise) shouldn't be used as an occasion to bash on their intelligence/humanity
They still deserve full respect, and should be treated like a person.
