side note: I find it easier for ME personally to land hits if i click each shot on most heroes (I'm learning I'm not bad at flick shots, or I'm starting to get better at them). Like JQ. You can hold it down for all heroes but it is better for me to click each shot. Helps me learn trigger control.
Before realising i could hold it down, i assumed couldnt cause its melee, i did click by click for rein

I had a squeaker on rein hold shatter all round... twice... and shield bot in the face of a dva like she's gonna run out of ammo. All while I'm fighting for my life vs 3 people AND pocketing him.
And the entire time they were just SCREAMING nonsense nonstop in comms like they just discovered sugar. Genuinely the most infuriating experience I've ever had in this already infuriating game.
They might not shoot walls, but I wish I saved that replay because they'd give this Orisa a run for their money

The supports in his team doesn't deserve to stay in bronze, they managed to save him a incredible ammount of times and actually won the match.
The supports in these videos always do EVERYTHING they can in order to keep these tanks alive i feel so bad for them
dps were going crazy too. They were hogging the killfeed with all their picks. Honestly would have just switched to pocketing them.
The issue with support in OW2 is you'll lose a game if you don't have good supports, but you can't carry a game just by being a good support.
It can lead to just a coin flip of if you get good dps/tank as teammates.

Support is really good on OW2 as a support main the level of impact I can have to determine a fight hasn't been this high in years. Specfically Ana feels pretty good right now, Kirko also feels incredible. I have legit gotten team wipes as ana when I was in the lower elos due to the placement bug and now at diamond 2 it feels pretty good because the quality of player actually peels for me and follows up on my antis and sleeps way more quickly. At the rate of the climb I will be back in masters probably by the end of next week with the free time I have and my win rate is 62% on Ana and 82% with Kirko
the thing that made me so mad about this is that they never played for their team, they never tried to protect, set up, or follow up for their team. You know... the role of tank.

I’ve been learning, recently, that any one player not doing their job can cripple the team. Sadly, that is often a support player and not the tank or DPS. Although this is a good example of when the tank is awful.
For context, I mostly play support and I’ve starting becoming keenly aware of when the other support is not doing their job when alive. Our focus might waver between healing and damage depending on flow and heroes, but at the core any healing at all is doing our jobs better than doing no healing at all.
Yeah, I had a tank like that the other day on Hollywood. The whole team died and I'm Kiriko trying to stay alive long enough to TP back to the team, and the tank starts yelling at me as they are approaching the capture point "What are you doing Kiriko!?'
Is it so hard to pay enough attention to see I got stuck when the team dive failed and that no, I'm NOT trying to 1v5 the enemy? And every time he got heals he gave the sarcastic 'thank-you!' As if we didn't spend most of our time healing him exclusively. One of my worst tank matchups this month was that guy.

i used to be like this as a tank main, switched to support main and honestly i understand the game better AND figured out that i wasn't suited to be a tank main! plus i got told off a lot by my friends that i play with. sometimes you just gotta find what's right for you and obviously this person needs to try out maybe DPS or Support :))))))

I have a friend new to OW. After 3 weeks of play still didn’t know that Cassidy reload his gun when he rolled. That he moves the same speed swing the hammer as regular walking. He would only use one orb at a time with zen because he thought only one orb could be put at a time (healing and discord)

No I see players like this, have friends who play like this... It's sadly very common. Some people grow out of it with time, but others just get stuck in this state and never figure out what it even means to play the game and improve one's thinking and playstyle.

I’m a firm believer in the idea that the quality of tanks is one of the most accurate depictions of each individual ranks skill level, bronze tanks being barely sentient and grandmaster tanks being genuinely next level ascended players, and this perfectly exemplifies the point cause this is the ABSOLUTE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL tier and both tanks really demonstrate that by holding both of their teams hostage and having to make plays and win DESPITE their tanks not because of them

Way, way, way too much overheating. No reason for them to hit that point. Most I overheat in a match is maybe twice if it’s a big team fight the entire game.

I'd say use Fortify when your taking a lot of damage.
Spin to block bullets if you need to retreat.
Use the Spear to get someone like a Hog off of you.
Also this guy really thought he could eat a DVA Bomb that is literally in his face. He survived it for a second till he died.

Just play as good as YOU can, and try to refocus your team at times if they are staring down tanks or whatever.
The point of these vids is to be funny. Don't let them scare you out of trying comp.
If you are afraid of being locked into a role (as you aren't good at all the tanks or all the heals...or ANY dps for that matter - read:me) play open comp.
Open comp is pretty much 2 heals and 3 tanks. Sprinkle a reaper or a junk in here or there. Sometimes 4 tanks if you have a godly ana.
I was the same way. Played QP for about a year and watching videos like this for any unintentional advice Flats puts in. Just started playing comp last week and I’ve been steadily climbing through gold and hoping to be plat once i have some more days off from work. Just get in there and play, you might surprise yourself

I love how this player intentionally walks further around corners in order to get an angle for a longer pin. So many times when they could have just pinned from where they were and gotten a short one, and instead they walk forward around a corner to get a 30m pin into a wall that no one on their team can see.
I honestly had no idea it was possible to miss that often on Rein.

Like Mercy can be an objectively better pick for her utility and better movement options when your team knows how to position with sightlines and peel in mind. But imagine trying to res in this environment? Trying to stay connected when people play so forward?
In such an unorganized environment, Moira can freely escape, peel for herself and if you know how use healing or around corners - providing solid sustain to several team mates without getting caught in the crossfire.
