I feel I am closer to my authentic “brand” now in my 40’s then ever before because I know myself better and am more comfortable and confident in my own skin. I’d say my brand is my naturally curly hair and wearing floral (mostly dresses).
I like to wear dresses, gold jewellery, black, and put my hair in a bun several times a week. I called it my uniform 😀 when I cannot be bothered to take much time but want to be comfortable and presentable. I like the word "brand" rather than "uniform" much more. Great tip and philosophy! Hi Myka, I think there is way more to your personal brand than your hair and red lipstick. :-) Eg. your outspoken, fun, direct personality... etc. I think personal brand is about authenticity and as you said consistency.
She was talking about a visual brand here, which is the first thing you see, but I agree, there´s so much more than meets the eye. Myka´s brand is defenitely also her energy and her knowledge of etiquette. Being authentic is I think most important as you see so many "look a likes" following any trend on instagram. They all start looking the same..

The old studio system did a good job of creating a distinctive "brand" for their stars. You would never mistake Grace Kelly for Ava Gardner, or Marilyn Monroe for Doris Day. I'm sure that the actual woman underneath the brand may have felt that it was at times more of a straightjacket than a liberating expression of her personal style, but even decades later we can immediately tune into their distinct images. The challenge is to find a brand that is flexible enough to adapt to a person's many roles, both personal and professional. Your emphasis on hairstyle, vivid red lipstick, and statement earrings can handle both professional and personal experiences.
I’m still sort of working on my “brand” but I guess style wise, I tend to wear cropped cardigans with floral dresses almost every day!☺️ I need to work on fixing my hair similarily each day - I definitely prefer my hair half up a lot!
I'm still learning . I'm a natural. No make up, no hair products , no jewelry. I've complied with describing myself as a boring person longing for answers. I have beautiful curly hair that I have come to appreciate.I overheard someone's reference once, don't leave the house without lipstick at least. So I try. Neutrals r about as far as I get. I dont like my hair to feel sticky or stuck in place. I can wear it curly or straight. I feel more confident when it is straight. I like jewelry, mostly bracelets and rings. My family have bought several necklaces but I don't find myself wearing them. ideas for figuring out who I am are most welcome.

Thanks Myka, it's indeed helpful. I have that kind of things I wear when I go outside, and one of my acquitance told me he recognized me from far away because of my white winter hat. I have not a lot of ideas regarding my online brand to be recognized. I write fantasy books if anyone has an idea.

Before you finish your video check your outfit and make sure there is no lint on your black tops that is very distracting from the message that you are conveying.
