I love your video! I used PB to find a job in a field that I love at the age of 50, after years of being a housewife. It took me a few years to build the new me and the network of people I wanted to be like. I realized that throughout my volunteering work, I had acquired a knowledge that would interest a lot of companies. I also showed an interest for entrepreneurship and worked on my appearance and the things I was doing. Acting like a pro, being a doer, showing my work on different media channels has made me appear like a pro and once I was ready and decided to apply for jobs, I got interviews quickly and then the job I love, well paid, as an expert.
It's sad that this channel has way less than subscribers than it should. This is one of the most professional channels relating to Advertising creativity, business, marketing, branding, etc.
carlo mov, Thanks so much! But, the only way I can grow is if people like you share my content with your colleagues and community! Please share my video with a friend or two! I'm trying to build my subscribers. More great content to come!
@@PhilipVanDusen I found you today searching "creative career coaching" within the youtube search bar. Now subscribed, thank you for all your professional content!
@@wyrdwitch13 Thank you so much for telling me how you found me - that's very helpful to me. And just by the way I do offer creative career coaching. 1000% agree! The Futur and Philip’s channels are my go-to for advice and coaching! Thanks Philip! Priceless work!!!! Just left my 9-5 to build my own design business, will be diving into more and more videos of yours, it is clear, concise, beautifully laid out (and perfect for taking notes). Thanks again!
Came across this video when I was searching for a simplified version of personal branding. I immediately liked and subscribed after seeing your videos. Well articulated. Thanks Philip. Will surely be seeing more of your videos.
This is the best description of personal branding I've ever come across and I've heard a slew of them. Thanks - you made it crystal clear. Makes me wish I knew Graphic Design. However I sure found the 'trends in Graphic design helpful too' so thanks!
omg omg this was so sweet I’ve been building my business for a while and felt like I’m not there yet. And this was a kind and gentle reminder of how great I’m doing ❤ thank you
Was looking for videos on this subject. Great video. I use personal branding when developing and mentoring in the corporate world. This is a great framework to point to. Good stuff thank you.
Do I have to wear yellow glasses to start my brand? I actually new a guy that wore a kilt everywhere. The reason he did it was that it started conversations and everyone remembered him. Good video, I am on day 8 of my youtube channel. Fun so far!
I spent 9 years at the same organization killing it at my job assuming promotions are based on Hard Work. LOL Never has been and never will be even a consideration...
Really? I can’t believe that oversight on my part. I really appreciate the suggestion! Going through my 500 videos to put them in that category who’s going to be a big job! Lol.
Hassan, great question. If you visit my website (link in the description) you will see that chartreuse (that green) is my brand color. I use it in EVERYTHING I do. The psychology behind green in general is: life, growth and prosperity (money here in the US is green).
@@PhilipVanDusen First of all Thanks for your quick response. I have also another question. As a designer we know the meaning of a color but we present our design in front of people who don't know the psychology of color at all. So then why we as a designer use a specific color for specific design?
@@whatacricket8268 When we use color as designers, we should be making decisions based on brand strategy and the strategy of the communication desired. When we present that work to clients, it is OUR responsibility as designers to describe why we made the decisions we did and to educate them about the psychology of color - in terms of how we used it and why for that particular project.
@Philip VanDusen When I saw your use of chartreuse (green), it intrigued me. I worked at big corporates and they have "formal" color schemes. So I reasoned to myself, that you use chartreuse (green) to demonstrate the message of being a creative person, not being intimidated by big corporations. A long time ago I started working for a bank head office (my 3rd job) as a systems analyst. During the job interview, the dress code was never discussed, and being in IT (never in contact with the bank's customers) I thought that dress code doesn't matter for IT staff. One winter morning, I decided to put on a leather jacket, which was much warmer than the suits I had and that was the fastest route to be summoned onto the red carpet. I wisely decided not to mention the fact that the leather jacket was more expensive than a suit. One thing I know is they would have frowned, seeing your green glasses. 😀

Hii Philip this video was incredibly helpful, do you do 1-1 coaching for personal brands?
Crushing it!!
Do you need a video editor bro?
I can do a sample video ;)
I am a REALTOR who creates content for social media. Should I put my personal brand logo at the end of every video or keep it more organic?
Sir why do you use green color in your thumbnails. What's the psychology behind that green color? Can you please explain?

Instead of revered, I would choose the word respected.
I like that…maybe I will! Thanks!
could be better give a update on what websites tho i would give more in depth because the feel of this does not help your case
Great video. Thank you
