Mike thanks for the great video of the sunrise. Down here in Louisiana, we are having an unprecedented snow event! 6 inches of snow since 7:00 a.m. and it won't end until 7 - 8;00 p.m. tonight. Everything is shutdown until at least Thursday. We don't have snowplows since it only snows about once every 10-15 years. The snow cover does make it peaceful and quiet outside since no one is moving about.

Hey Mike. You mentioned a "walk over" possibly coming up. What does that mean? Waiting for snow in NC but looks like most of it will be near the coast tonight. Plenty cold though. You stay warm and well out there!

A "walk-over" is when they move the train across a broken rail that has stayed in alignment and at a walking speed the train can be walked over the break to clear the line for repairs. That happens when the rail contracts from the cold yet is held in alignment by the substructure. Not a rare event out here. I'd loke to have a bit of extra heat in the house but the sun is shining in the southeast facing windows and feels good on the feet. Maybe the furnace will get a break later today. LOL! I know a couple of electric blankets were in use here last night. I had coffee in the pickup that I was sipping on before the Zephyr arrived. It was gone about 3 minutes after I posted the video. Zazzy's was open and Marne was there along with a couple other regulars. Didn't take long for the hot air and the coffee warmed everyone up. LOL! Hope all stays well down there. My mittens fell apart, and my gloves were in the PU staying warm. The Grabber heat packs still are making warmth.
