Just bought it for my wife. Extra little challenge, I unhooked her battery and went direct. It started a 3 litre V6 first time. Thing is great. Thanks for video.
I just bought a GooLoo GT3000 and I checked the owners manual about disconnecting the cables from the device before removing the cables from the battery and that is not listed in my manual. It may be different due to different model number. One more thing when connecting cables to the battery you should first attach the positive then the negative and when removing them you should remove negative first then the positive. I do believe it really does not make a difference with this booster because of internal protections.
Thanks so much for the tutorial! I just received mine in the mail today. I had bought a larger jumper, but never felt quite safe with it. It was also big and heavy. I’m praying that this one works. I carry a set of jumper cables in my trunk at all times, but the problem is if you’re out somewhere, you have to have someone to jump you, I’ve had to end up calling AAA because no one had the time to help me. 👍
Thank You. Great video. I do not have to read the manual or scratch my head to figure out how to use this. Great explaination on steps as how to jump start.
You are indeed a Hero!! Thanks for this great video, best part is how passionate you are about teaching your son!!! Gotta Love that!! Thanks so much , great video , learned lots!!
You are a good dad I just was thinking that and actually set it out loud and then I seen in the comments so I had to make sure I reiterated it good job for being a good dad
From what I’ve known n recently read, cables r to be attached red first n black second. N when disconnecting the cables : disconnect BLack first n red second. Correct me if I’m wrong. Thk u
I've heard that from several people too, but there is absolutely no mention of an order in any of the instruction manuals from units I've tested and regardless of the order it hasn't impacted out the jumper packs have worked. So the short answer is I don't know if there is any actual truth to that.
Thanks. I went out and bought one for my daughter. If you can show a video that has only terminals under the hood because many vehicles now have the batteries under the vehicles seat. You will probably be the first to show it. Thanks much. 👍
@@SimplyMustGo you can go on UA-cam and just ask how to remove and replace battery from under the seat.👍Terminals are under the hood to jump start no need to get at battery to jump. My daughters 2018 jeep gc has under the hood terminals but battery under the passenger front seat.
I was researching into which one to get and saw your Boba Fett Mandalorian hat so I took it as a good sign. This is the way. Thank you for making the video.
Just got my GooLoo 3000, hope i never have use on my own vehicle, but hope I can find some stranded Cougar that I can jump start, happens frequently in the winter. Great video!
Just ordered a GP? 3000. It’s a little overkill for our 23 RAV4 hybrid’s accessory 12 volt battery but it will also be able to jump my 2027 Highlander 3.5 litre easily.
Once connected, have everybody stand clear of the jump starter just in case it were to blow up. Seriously. Nothing to gain standing over it . Ever. Batteries can blow up too, get away from it.
Yeah jumper cables can be sketchy. I had a set that felt like good quality, thick wires and than 1 day I went to jump a friends car and they started smoking at about the mid point. Havent owned any since lol.
I tried using my Gooloo to jump start a car at work a few months ago. The battery was nested underneath engine components and I could only access the positive terminal. I clipped negative to the frame. I was not able to jump the car. Have you had success jumping without clipping to black? I also did not have the driver turn off lights, so good tip for next time.
Just sharing my experience but it didn't work for me on my 2020 Forester Sport. Brand new, charged Gooloo. Tried the boost feature and it just turned on the headlights temporarily but that's it. Gooloo claims the GT1500 is good for 8L gas cars my Forester is 2.5L. After the disappointment I purchased a NOCO GB40 and it turned on my car immediately even though the NOCO is 1000a vs the Gooloo's 1500. The NOCO is IP65 weather resistant, has a better display, beefier clamps, much better packaging... it's just an overall better product. AND, it actually worked. I have these 2 side by side at my house so just sharing my actual real world experience. For anyone shopping I highly recommend NOCO. It has a much stronger brand reputation for a reason. Standard disclaimer: Not paid or affiliated with either brand, just some dude who had to deal with a dead battery.
What happens if you do not unhook things the way you did after the engine was running. What if I just took off the battery connectors ? I did buy two of these but have yet to need them or try them.
Permit me the dumb question... Do you need to turn the device off? I just got mine, haven't had to use it yet. At I've point I turned it on via the power button and the light came on, but couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Pressing the power button wouldn't turn it off. However the light turned off by itself a minute later. I guess these devices turn themselves off.
First person to show how to remove it. Thank you good sir.
You're welcome and thanks for the kind words!
Pretty sure the order doesn't matter when removing cables. Just don't get sloppy and short 'em together.
Seen a lot of reviews and no one cares to mention how to properly remove the cables at the end I’m glad you did
Thanks! I appreciate that.
So glad you taught him this. What a helpful tool!
Just bought it for my wife. Extra little challenge, I unhooked her battery and went direct. It started a 3 litre V6 first time. Thing is great. Thanks for video.
That’s awesome.
Good father, teaching your boy life skills. Great video

Thank you very much!
these things are great, amazing the power for such a small device
Thank you so much! Just helped me get started after a cold snap. ❤
Awesome!!
Thanks. Definitely need these for winter in Canada.

@@SimplyMustGo some are even under the back seat. Friggin engineers have to make things harder for us.
Some are in the trunks. Thats crazy because the current has to travel from the battery farther to the starter up in front of the vehicle.
@@arthursmith643 Haha, yeah no kidding!
Finally a true test on a drained battery

Great video man!! These little things are what I looking for since I’m getting close to be getting a YJ. Hopefully 🙏
Yeah I can’t wait for you to get a YJ!! I’m so excited for you!

Nice!

Nice. Yeah, I think it's always better to have a little more than you need!
Nice YJ t-shirt Matt and good review..
Thanks! Yeah I really like my YJ shirt! Got it off Etsy I believe.

Absolutely true

Dang! That’s crazy!!
he forgot to mention that there is a little green light on the side of the jumper cable box that must be lite up green for it to work
Great point! Thank you!
That's true.
Good review Ron Howard/Richie Cunningham.
Timu brought me here lol. Picked one up for 24 dollars 👍🏾
Really??? That's crazy!
Great video and no joke, I’m a Corolla owner too. Shhhhhhh
Thanks! Haha. Well, I know why, so you can drive it into the mud and recover it with the Jeep.

I have not run into that scenario but in theory you could ground it to the frame. Could have been too much with the lights on. Hard to say.
Do you recommend this to jump an AGM marine battery for a small boat? Thanks!
I’ve never had to jump a marine battery, but I assume it could.
@@SimplyMustGo ok thanks!
Wow, dad’s are great 👍
Haha I just went through the bed box in my truck and would you know if, I had 2 pair of jumper cables
Haha. Nice.
Awesome video teacher and reviews Awesome
Thank you!
thanks for your help!
Thank you so much! God bless!!
Thank you. I have another jumper pack video coming out soon also.
I'm not surprised it was able to start that little car. Can it start a 6.0 truck is what I want to know?
Good question. I don’t have anything like that to test it on.
@Simply Must Go well if I ever have to jump it I'll let you know.
@@IanMM88 Thanks!

Good to know. Thank you for sharing.
Will it start a larger Diesel the little Toyota wouldn't be to much trouble for any jump starter?
It might, but they have a few models that are specifically for diesels. Like the 2000A
What happens if you do not unhook things the way you did after the engine was running. What if I just took off the battery connectors ? I did buy two of these but have yet to need them or try them.
Most likely nothing will happen. It’s just the recommendation but I’ve seen plenty of people do it the other way.

Yes. It should turn off on its own.
Try holding the power button for more than 10 seconds it does a force shutdown
Thank you sir!!!!
Glad it helped!
Nice yj shirt!
Thanks! It’s one of my new favorite shirts.
I bought a GooLoo and they really do work!
4:18 what was that? Is that normal?
The battery was extremely low so it took two tries to get it to crank over. That’s just the normal sound of the starter trying to do it’s thing.
does it come charged already ?
If I remember correctly it was around 75% charged when I opened it.
But why didn't it start the first time
GOD BLESS
You connect positive then negative then remove negative first. Not everyone should have a UA-cam channel.
just got one for prime day 39.99
Nice!
Ok really just wanted the actions you took. Not all the stuff before
Super glad youtube allows you to skip ahead.
This looks and sounds like a commercial, not a review.
No one ever tells the price or were to by it
Prices on this stuff change a lot, but I have links in the description to Amazon.

It’s incredible that the Corolla you have only makes 132 HP.
Yeah. It’s not exactly a speed machine, but that’s good when your teen is driving it.
