I got 256gb iPhone 8 for the same price as 64gb on good Friday.
I chose the iPhone 8.....unless you have a freakishly long thumb, you cannot reach the whole screen one handed on the X. Plus the notch stinks.
So? The notch doesnt cut out any content unless you zoom in in videos and 8 doesnt even have the feature to zoom. iPhone X u can zoom if u want and you dont have to.

the phone is same size. the screen is great and you can enjoy the internet better....it is not a pus size. 8 plus you can not use with one hand..too big. X is plus screen without the plus body size. huge improvement

Another thing is that the iPhone 8 has bezels so you can have something to hold onto when you’re watching videos top and bottom on purpose Apple designed it that way yes you get all screen display on the other phones latest phones but for all expensive purposes if you’re holding it you’ll accidentally touch the screen one way or another when you’re watching videos or doing any games or just holding it I’ve noticed

Chris Cappel Definitely id recommend the 8 or 8 plus over the X. We had the privilege of testing the x and 8 and our advice is definitely to go with the 8 or 8 plus. Apple r also not producing the X in 6 months

Gonna get the iPhone 8 tomorrow. It really has most of the specs of the X, similar size and best of all it's 380 € cheaper! For me it's reasonable and more valuable purchase than the X :)

iPhone 8 is the best and the 10 and the 8 has basically the same camera just more features on the 10
Hermione xo im pretty sure you won’t be able to tell the difference between an iphone 8 and X camera if you uploaded the photo to a computer and viewed it on there. It’s just that the iphone X has a far better screen that makes images look better
I personally think, this is just my opinion. But the iPhone 8 is a really good iPhone. I’ve had it over a year and I love it.

I got a Huawei P6 so I`m going to upgrade to Iphone 8.
I have just bought the iphone 8+ because the finger print is so much better than face reco and the interface is much more convenient.
The speakers on the 8 and X are the exact same, the thing is the 8 has very loud speaker with the best quality. The X may be a tad louder (barely noticeable) but the quality is not as great as the 8 as on the X it has a very slight crackling noise (also barely noticeable), but it is present unlike the 8/8 +

The deal breaker for me was Touch ID vs Face ID, me and my partner often use each other’s phone and Touch ID allows us to have each other’s fingerprint on our phone where as Face ID is one face only.

SuperSmashMaster43 It's the refresh rate. Cameras capture the refresh rate of displays. It doesn't matter if it's a CRT, Plasma, LCD, AMOLED or OLED.

Just upgraded my SE not because I wanted to. It has a defect so I decided to get the 8. It supposed to arrive tomorrow. Love my SE’s small size and classic design. I will keep it for a backup phone. Looking forward to having a little bigger screen now.

The only difference that I think is good on iphone x is the oled hdr display, but for normal users I don’t think they’d notice the difference, the portrait mode and true depth is good good but I don’t see myself using it, so I’m going with iphone 8 but there’s no problem for me if I got iphone x for free🤣

You lose that home button, touch ID, the ability to unlock your phone without looking at it, if you're coming from any other phone, you lose that headphone jack, AUX capabilities, and most importantly your self respect.
Damien Beckham having no home button is AMAZING! you just don’t know because you don’t have one. also, you don’t have to look at your phone to use face id.
you can lose with both considering both batteries are inferior to most android phones. iphone 8 is under 2000 mah for the battery, which is ridiculous in 2018

If someone preferres an older design he can get the iPhone 7 that has a larger battery than the 8 and it can’t crack on its back, another advantage is the price, that is lower and also the performance of the 2 phones are similar. If you want to get a 2018 iPhone the only one that makes sense is the iPhone X.
For reference, 174 grams is around the same weight category as a large letter (Royal Mail)

I currently have the iPhone SE and according to my carrier I am eligible for a upgrade but I’d rather have the iPhone 8 because Apple will be releasing a 5G iPhone in 2020 or 2021 so that’s why I would have the iPhone 8 till the new 5G iPhone comes out from Apple
