Drums are less important for a guitar jam than a bass jam considering that bass is primarily a rhythm instrument. The way it compliments drums is vital to the viability of the instrument.
It's always great to watch you guys demo basses. You can see just how much you truly love playing. I always find myself bobbing my head right along with you.
have a SIRE M7 5 strings and it's really great. My style is to play death metal with ADGCF tuning and it still sounds amazing. I love playing my SIRE. greetings from Guanajuato Mexico.
Thanks for tuning in anyway! We're glad you enjoy the videos. We do have a drum channel if you're interested? ua-cam.com/channels/NH8I8ZcobsMYN8CCNkt--A.html?view_as=subscriber
Dudes.... When you have a bass with pickups like these, and each pickup has a 3-way switch, chances are that each switch is wired to 1 pickup, and lets you chose how the pickup is works. My guess is: Down: Both coils in the pickup in series mode.AKA the classic humbucker Centre: One of the coils in the pickup i single coil mode Up: Both coils in the pickup in parallell mode. AKA the classic Stingray way. Also humbucking by the way.
from my ear, series is up middle is single and down is parallel. volume knob and passive tone (for when its passive) stack pot, pickup blend, treble, stacked sweepable mid and bass (neck to bridge)
Lee is using an Ampeg Portaflex cab and head amp, nathan is using a fender combo amp... and honestly, thru ky headphones the Ampeg sounds amazing.. i noticed this even from the previous video they did
Wicked jams! These basses are something else. I’m not ready for the six string challenge but would pick up a five from this series any day. Ordered my Marcus Miller from Anderton’s in 2019. Sire has got the looks and premium quality at a very reasonable price.
New basses tend to need a little calibration (truss rod and bridge adjustments) but this ones sounded a bit nasssty to me. Tbf i don't like fretnoise in general
i know it isn't one of these, but ibanez makes a fretless 6. it's called the srf706. besides, you could go the jaco route and remove the frets yourself.
Oh that would be dream. I wrote them recently for v5 6 string fretless like Steve Bailey's fender model but they said they do not think anytime soon for those models. Maybe they make suprise for 6 strings m7 model.
I had an Ibanez BTB746 6 string which I had to sell before I moved across the country. I've been itching to get another great 6 string in that same price range, this may well be my next. Its glorious. (I also got rid of a V7 Vintage 5-string, very different bass but in terms of quality, I know I'd be getting something worth my money)
A bit annoying that the 6 string has an all over stain and doesn't have the option of a natural finish back contrasting with the coloured top, like the ash bodied 4 and 5 string M7s. Any chance of Sire fixing that in the future?
@eagleeye128 shame about your bass but there's a lot that don't have those issues. Generally carbon reinforcement is needed/reccomended on 6 string necks because of the tension but I don't see why sire couldn't make a reasonable Stab at it. There shouldn't be more or less buzz compared to a 6 string fretted.
i watched this vid for too long only cuz of the accent bro, not to be racist or something but i love to see and hear British ppl doing a Demo specially Lee :P Keep up the good work you are the only reason that i have the Sire M7
Not sure if it's mentioned in the video, but the scale length of the 5- and 6-stringers are 35". Might be of interest for players who want to tune lower than the ole B.
@eagleeye128"Actually", I Never said that it was super long.. but it's still longer than the usual 34". There aren't that many non-multi scale basses out there with 35" so I just thought I'd just mention it. Multiscale and headless aren't a requirement for tuning low and they aren't for every one.
The reason is the pups, they are essentially 3 pickups in 1: single coil, parallel and humbucker (i think). So you can get vintage fender single coil tone, musicman esque humbucker tone and more of what i think of as an ibanez parallel tone
Howza bout a 12 string bass? It will be that and the drummer left. No need for reg guitar or vocalist. Then they can add a mini drumset on the bass and just call it 'the band'.
When you have everything tone knobs and switches full blast it gets distorted and artificial sounding, you should hear them in single coil mode they sound good(but it’s basically a jazz bass at that point)
@@Jimmy_Jim_Jim_1234 Yea I agree, the m5 natural look and the m7 black look awesome. Although I already have a jazz and two pj Basses I don’t even know why I’m watching lol
Gotta say the drums always really elevate the jams you guys do, wish Lee and Pete would use drums more.
Or a bass

Perfect way to start a wonderful Friday the 13th Nathan and Lee with NEW STUFF!!!
The neck on that blue six string looks massive! Way bigger than the necks on my Ibanez SRF706 and SR306. Maybe I'm wrong but these look amazing
Those basses sound amazing!!! The 6 string resembles the Ibanez Adam Nitti 6 string and looks fantastic! Both are tone monsters!!!
I'm so excited cause i got M5
yoooo do you like it i have mine shipping right now

Smooth guys. Very smooth.
I ordered the transparent black version from you guys a few days ago from USA!!! That bass is back ordered everywhere in the US 🇺🇸

Super groove. Happy Friday
Just sat here praying for a new sire electric guitar series to drop
Love Lee’s dumbfounded “No!”

Please, try yamaha bb series, 735 for example)) cant understand why still no any wideo with them))

Video 4 of asking you to please do a Sound Like Dethklok /Brendon Small!
You guys are awesome
The Sire Bass is very nice the only problem is I bumped the midrange button and it broke and you can't find a replacement .
These guys play very well: 👍👍
I don't think you guys did the 4 string any justice, do another vid, some comparison, I'm curious how Lee will make it sound fingerstyle and slap
M5 6 strings is what we need.
I'm sorry, but was it too far for sire to have a matching headstock on the natural finish, the black headstock ruins it
there’s a fretless 5 isn’t there ?
thanks very much for the video gentleman ;)
cheers from Portugal
I'm looking into getting my 1st 6 string bass soon. Any recommendations??? Help !!!
Just keep jamming.
Bester channel!!!
You the one who made the basses?
@@caprise-music6722 that’s a big negative. You’re thinking of Marcus Miller. Close, but not quite.
Opening jam sounds like "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke.
Do you really get more sustain with a maple top though?
nope
Im loving the 5 string , but it has way too many witchcrafty switches for my taste

I bought a 2nd gen m7 5 string, while it sounded really nice, the fret work was horrendous. I really want to like these but I wont buy another one
M4 - four strings!
M5 - five strings!
M7 - six???
M2, M5, M7 are the series, the higher the number, the more expensive
What are the string spacing at the bridge?
Is someone playing the spoons??
where can i find a Midium scale , 5 string bass but with a high C string sett up? Thx
Ibanez has one for a grand. Btb 5 string medium scale high C, looks cool

Too many strings, too many knobs/switches,I'll stick with my Fender J.B. thanks ! HaHa !
In the studio(where it’s not necessary) those knobs are great, live I’d pull the hair out of my mop.
I like this video, but just don’t like those guys talking too much and laughing like crazy man.
