My favorite thing about junk journaling is THERE ARE NO RULES! Anything goes! And the options are endless and there is always something new to learn! ❤ Then every time I flip through the pages I am so happy and I find something new to do and add. It’s like the journal talks to you and tells you what it wants! ❤❤
One of my favorite parts of JJ is watching others with new techniques- like Luisa and Barbara and many others
When people ask me, what is my favorite thing, my answer is usually whatever I’m doing at the time. So I guess it is all in the creating. My favorite thing with your work is when you are creating unexpected things from your own imagination. Keep up the wonderful creativity.
Luisa-your eye & feeling for details just amazes me! So many junk journals have a “formula”, which is fine, but you take each part of each page of your journals & your art & carefully think about it! Though you may use the same papers for two journals, they will never be the same! It is so impressive!
My favourite part of jj is taking something that others consider to be trash and turning it into something beautiful and unusual.
I agree
“If you ask yourself if it’s too much, add more.”😂😂😂
My favorite part of junk journaling is using bits and pieces of salvaged treasures.
Everytime I see you work in your journals I am amazed at your creativity! You see such beauty in the tiniest detail. Thank you for taking us along and inspiring me!🥰
My favorite thing about junk journals is adding different elements to each page like you do and also making ephemera. I usually struggle with sewing in the signatures but I'm improving with practice, I love all your journals they are amazing.
Everything is what's my favorite! It's ART. It's the expression of joy and personality in paper crafts form! All the paint, glue, smudge, stamping, assembly plus some fabric thrown in for good measure mess of it all that becomes a wonderful journal .
I love watching you take bits and pieces and pulling the pages together.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that keeps the excess pieces from die cuts. I even keep the teeny tiny bits. Thank you for helping me feel more “normal.”
Whomever buys this journal is going to have so many fun reminders of it coming together from all the videos of you making it. I am looking forward to making one from the digital I got (but still need to be printed,) as you have given me some fun ideas. I too will keep all the leftovers because they may still have a place. Thanks, Luise for making this journal and creating all the fabulous digital!
I think it's fair to say that there IS no "what I like best about junk journaling" because for me, it's the new technique I learn, the ephemera that's been in my stash for 2+ years that finally works in a project, that I like on any given day I junk journal that continues to give me joy.
Exactly why I like junk/art journaling so much. You don’t have to do the same kind of thing, you can switch whenever you want to do whatever you feel like. ❤ your journal by the way.
What do l love about jj is basically everything, surprising yourself every time . Holding it in my hands and turning the pages of one l have finished feeling it and seeing it displayed on a shelf. I love the whole process of CREATING from my imagination. I am also a passionate gardener people ask what is your favourite flower it changes all the time basically l love nearly all of them!! I love your work your giggle your passion and the thinking and then doing process! Thank you ❤
My favorite thing is layering elements or making collages. I like themed journals okay, but I prefer the "surprise" of layering elements that may not typically have been part of a "kit" or specifically "match" each other. I really love the colors in your journal...they remind me of the beautiful colors of leaves in October. 😉🌻🍁🍃
Like most of these artsy friends, I like all the creative parts….except stitching in the signatures. For me, that usually ends in tears, stabbed fingers and at least one part upside down. 😱 But everything is fixable and the other steps are SO enjoyable, it is worth it. Thanks for sharing, Luise!!
You always seem to find just the right little things to add!
I think that like you, my favorite part of junk journaling changes from day to day. I love this journal , Luise! The papers are awesome and your “special Luise sauce” makes it perfect! ❤
My favorite part of making junk journals is making the ephemera to use in them🩷🪻💙
My fav thing.... Freedom of personal expression ❤
Luise, I saw your creations on Tim Holtz's video, they were gorgeous, you are so talented, I admire that a lot. You are always sharing, enjoyed today's video very much too.
My favorite part is using all my scraps and bits at the end.
My least favorite thing making journals is always sewing in the signatures! Favorite would have to be finishing up using all the left over bits and bobs.
My favourite thing about junk journaling is that you can start, get distracted with something else, then come back and continue, as many times as you want!💕🇨🇦
My favorite part of junk journaling is all the pre work on the components. As a mostly polymer clay/mixed media jewelry artist I find I am much more interested in the process and experimentations creating unique components rather than the completed piece. This curiosity in creating components seems to be a huge part of my junk journaling experience.
Junk journal ing allows the freedom to experiment create and tell your self special secrets and stories 😊
I really want this journal!!
Hey Luise, After being ill for so long this digital came at just the right time to give me some inspiration. I am using it and a few others to make my Sister a 50th birthday journal. It will still take a while between specialist appointments and fighting through all the junk that has been thrown in my art room as it hasn’t been accessed for over a year but I have ordered my Matt photo paper and halo paper and will be printing papers as soon as they arrive. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
My favourite part is ever changing especially because every time I open my journal I see another thing just has to be added/altered/changed etc.
Another absolutely wonderful tutorial!!😊
Fantastic results for the journal.
I enjoyed seeying how you make these great final touches 😍 For me it's everytime different what I like to do, guess it depends on my state of mind or state of body(I have M.E.) so it's a good thing that I can just roll with that and find something that I can do and makes me happy to make at that moment😃I find it so inspiring how you can make a page with these great details even more awesome...while I already thougth it looked finished and fabulous🫣you have such a creative mind 😎 Thanks for sharing this with us and have a great day, Luise❣️
Always an inspiring watch. Thank you!
Hi Luise,
Another fun session with you while I work on my own projects!
Yes, you CAN say "It has to match!" that is correct. A more formal way is to say "It must match" or "it ought to match". All three are OK to use.
My favorite thing about Junk Journaling is that the possibilities are ENDLESS!
OK, so don't freak your freak about your bathroom. Whatever has happened, the beauty of JJ is that there are no mistakes, even your bathroom is included in this very sacred rule!
And also I am your 300th like!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts
My favorite thing changes daily, but there is never a day when binding in signatures is my favorite. But you are not alone, #YANA . You are in good company with those of us who love all the things. 🎉❤🎉 #dontfreakyourfreak
Great journal! And "has to" is appropriate and proper English.❤
Some awesome ideas
My favorite part of junk journaling is coming up with new ideas and adding them to my project. My journals rarely resemble my original vision.
I had to laugh at your add more comment. As I showed my husband the 4 signatures of my current project he thought each signature could be a separate journal. My thought was "Louise would think it's too plain and needs more embellishments ". Meg
I keep my tip of glue upside down in a container that won't fall over.it keeps the glue run to tip. But have to be cautious, the glue is ready so comes out faster. Alas, if empty, you dont get anything. Must be karma.lol your journal looks great. Take care.
So, I'm not into the scary/weird Halloween stuff. But ... this journal kit is super cool! So, I purchased it and printed it out ... I'll just cover those "guys" with something else. I was so inspired with the colors and the sunflowers and the swirling "things"! My favorite page was the one with the crow on it! Seriously, for a lady not into Halloween this is really gorgeous! My favorite thing about junk journaling? I think it changes from time to time ... I like all of it! I just like to get in the flow of the creating and let things happen!
THAT makes me really happy!! I wish you a lot of fun with the papers!!
It's Luise Time!!!
Although this particular journal may not be my "jam", I still love watching your process. You think of the most unique ways to finish up a page! Blows me away. My question is this: How does one get notified that you have put a journal in your shop for sale. I would love to own a Luise Heinzl original someday. 🥰
Making ephemera, tags, and trying to figure out how to put them in a journal, always a little hard for me to make signatures
Dear Luise, what is that stamp with the dots? Hugsss 🤗
My favorite thing about junk journaling changes all the time! However, sewing in signatures is usually on my least favorites list.
which of Tim’s stamps is that splatter stamp from?
I think what you’re trying to say is, “It WILL match, because it’s made from pieces you’ve already used.”
very strange dear the like button is not up when I came here to be able to like your video ?? not sure what is happening . It changes for me love picking papers getting them into signatures , then building the pages and ephemera , then decorating the cover love to do too so I am just loving making them , I am still fairly new to making them compared to many of you here on youtube.💖Rachael Bella has special gun that she just squeezed the trigger to get glue out not sure where she got it I can see if I can find out for you.
Taken from the same material "it is bound to match" is your grammar "thing"? xxx
You sound sad today. Are you ok?
❤I absolutley love your videos! I learn so much❤
