I love your journal! The instruction was great. I’ve been wanting to make my first little journal, but hadn’t found good instructions to assemble it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art.
I love how you own it when you've done something not the way you meant, and than make it work for you. I love these little tag books! Yet another project to add to my ever growing "jj I want to make" list.
Hello Barbara! This is my first time commenting (not because I don't absolutely LOVE all you do, I just never know what to say). The reason for this comment is to let all your viewers know that I just got the lifetime membership (using your code of course) and I love it! I'm sure all your viewers will too. So worth it! Thank you for all you do I truly look forward to your videos. Have a very blessed and beautiful day! Love from Las Vegas NV (USA)
I think what makes your vlogs so wonderful (besides the fantastic content!) is that you share all the “oops “ moments lol😂 I don’t know how many times I’ve slapped my forehead or sat back and pondered how I could get out of a predicament 🤔! You are beyond inspirational!
I’m braver today than I was when I watched you make the last tab journal. So, yes, I will be trying my own very soon. I will start gathering my materials tomorrow. I can’t wait! Thanks for the encouragement.
Your videos are so interesting. I think of all the junk journal makers you make the most varied journals. I love the different sizes, themes, and types of binding. ❤
Love how your book turned out! Yes, I did one journal using tab binding. It was so confusing, but I got through it. 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Glad to see I’m not the only one who struggles with the tabs. ☺️🤣🤣🤣
I have been stuck on these little tab bound booklets, I made ABC ones for my niece and nephew and they love them!!! They are more interested in the textures and colors than the ABCs lol!!!
Beautiful little journal, so full of goodness. ❤I have done tab binding, both like you did here and in an accordion style. My first attempt the binding was too loose. I love how it lays flat.
I love it! Even the “oh noos!” 😂. I have done the tab binding on two very small journals. Maybe a fourth size of yours. And I love it! It was a great way of getting some practice in. But I do want to venture into a little bigger journal. I love the idea of using tags like you did. I think it’s a perfect size. You always give us such amazing inspirations. I remember the first one and I thought it was just gorgeous. You just did it again, and it’s like it’s all new inspirations. Just fabulous! Hugs 🤗❤️
Barbara, you are my biggest inspiration and the reason I started making junk journals and mixed media art. Thank you so much for what you do! Because of your amazing talents and entertaining videos, I have found my artistic release after many years of feeling I have lost my “mojo”. It’s not quite a year since I watched my first 49dragonflies video, and I am now addicted, anxiously awaiting new eye candy every few days! I did recently try this tab binding on a tag book, much inspired by your original project and I loved the results!! Seeing this new one makes me want to try again!! This is just beautiful! Again, thank you for inspiring me to pick up an artistic interest again. It has been a fun and enriching hobby which has been long-needed 💕 Sending big hugs from Canada and can’t wait to see what’s next!!
I thought tab binding had to be sewn around each tab, so this was helpful to see. I will go back and watch your first one. Thanks for showing us your process.
So Pretty!! Shabby Soul does this technique on purpose with her accordion journals, where the sides don't line up. She then takes advantage of the difference and adds things to the sides to fill out the extra space. It's lovely!
Dear Barbara, thank you so much for sharing your real moments. I’d been having some tough days because of a recent loss and woke the same today but with the notification of your new video. Coffee and a few minutes in and I’m completely out of my blues talking back the video trying to save you from another “ oh no” moment and giggling so hard. Did you realize that your videos are very interactive?? And yes I’ve made several tab bound journals since your first video on them but was so inspired today I’ve decided that’s the journal style I will use to save some very old tiny photos of my mom and my sisters. Thank you for the joy and laughter and inspiration! Muah, muah! 🥰😁
Incredibly intricate! During the flip through, you created a proper Victorian/Steampunk atmosphere, like a watchmaker who also dabbles in time travelling. A true Wonderland indeed. I also can't believe it took you only 3 hours to accomplish that level of embellishment!
🤣 Barbara....just love your videos. At 14:54 I was telling myself "hmmm? I guess she figured out why the machine was making the bunches of thread?! So now she is having to add her own 'clumps?!" Then a few seconds later you showed the clumps of thread made by the machine! And I thought "you go girl!" I find your videos so entertaining. Hugs from Texas.
I have done tab binding. I did it after watching your last video about it. Because I made a small journal I alternated one and two and it worked perfectly. Thanks for all of your amazing videos.
I have many of those “Oh no” moments...lol. But that is one of the good things about making junk journals. It causes us to think outside the box to do fixes. Sometimes it takes me down roads I would never had tried before. Loved the little Alice tag journal.😍
Herrlich Barbara 😅 Ich liebe es, mit dir zu lachen und dass du uns auch bei Projekten mitnimmst, die nicht immer 100% korrekt sind, am Ende ist es immer toll! Danke dir. GLG von Christine😘
I love that shelf, and tab binding in equal measures I think 🙊. That one inspired my rusty one using your haunted kit. They cool papers, I haven't used them yet. They look gorgeous stamped and stencilled😍. Interesting how different inks came through. Lol your "oh nooo" is my "uh oh" 😄 . Lol you heard me say "cut the tabs and leave them on" . A tiny bit of baby powder also stops the stickiness. Hey it's all good in the end🤘. I love her, she's beautiful 😍. I love tab binding since I tried it, it worked great with gift bags too! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I have done this binding on several journals. It is so random that I have to go back and watch a video every time I do it. It is so worth the effort, though. No wonder you were confused.
It's so cute! I was actually inspired to make a 2 page version as a birthday card tonight. Such fun. I would like to try the tab binding in a full journal too, but I think I'll watch your original video for instruction LOL. Thanks Barbara!
So adorable! I find it so fascinating that you take us along on your journal making process and that even if you make mistakes, you make it work. Love it!!❤😊
Incredibly artistic creation Barbera! You are so gifted and talented and best of all inspiring to watch as you progress through your creations. I love that you are humble enough to show your mistakes as they happen and that alone gives me the courage to forge ahead in creating my own artistic experiments. Thank you for sharing Barbara!
Wow! Your journal is so exquisite. I have never done a tab journal nor an Alice journal. But I now will do both because of your inspiration. I love it Barbara😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
I love this one as much as the first one❤ I've not done the tab binding and as soon as I get the rest of my craft room organized, AGAIN, I'm going to get out all my Alice goodies, print up some pages and get busy. It's been a while since I visited and I'm so very glad to be back. You have always inspired me and you did so again today. I just love you!❤
I love the little tag Journal. Tab binding is so much fun, but I over think and then thats where the issues come in....lol Thanks so much for sharing, I love it!
Barbara, what a darling little journal! Yes I have made two small tab journals before. I believe I just used paper for the tabs. I gave birth as gifts. I had to smile at all your added quotes with your Oh No! All your mishaps are things I would have done. In the end everything turned out beautifully! Love it. TFS! ❤
I was yelling, but you didn’t hear me. ❤ I absolutely love that you showed us that we all have those moments. Also, the way you added your own touch to the digitals is so inspiring.
Hi Barbara from Vienna! 😃 I love this journal. It has some amazing techniques that must be used in so many journals from this point on. You are such a delight to learn from and your "oh no's" and giggles are the sweetest. Thank you for all things! You are the best! Gloria from Texas. xxx
Love the little journal, the grunge is amazing and the embossing glaze elevates the ephemera. I really enjoyed this video, I must give tab binding a go.
This is so awesome! I love the size. I have used the tab binding on 3 journals so far and I love it, but I have made some of the same mistakes you made on this one. The 2 journals that are finished were both around 5X6 and they worked well. I have made the journal for October with the tab binding as well and it is 5 1/2X7 1/2 so we'll see if it does a good job holding.
I was glad to see the tab binding again. I have cards from our 50th wedding anniversary party last year that I'm gonna try to bind with tab bindings. I have painted some stickers with black and gold to use as the tabs. This has reminded me to just do it! I've been putting it off but I need to just jump in. The " oops" that I saw helped push me. I love looking at the cards and it will be much easier when they are bound. TFS ❤❤
I love these little tab binding journals. I made one years ago but your video is a good reminder on how to make it. I thought you were going to do an accordion style this time but you must have changed your mind. I'm reminded too that I like the look of the texture paste. We have so many supplies sometimes we forget to use them. Great video.
I have practiced making a tab journal. I like the way they lay flat. I will eventually re-watch your other video and will definitely use your ideas in this video and the other video to make one. ❤
Lovely journals, I totally understand , filming, having to think about alternating the tags and then talking to us leads up to an Oh no moment...love lena
Your tab journals are beautiful! I really enjoyed watching how you layered the background designs to your tags. That's something I always struggle with. I made a small tab journal last year using straight-flap envelopes and glued on Tim Holtz linen tape for the hinges.
I'm definitely going to give this type of binding a go, I think this would work especially well with thicker paper, and I just absolutely love those little books, no wonder they're your fav, I can see why. Thankyou Barbara for another great video, especially the oh nos lol. Xxx
Hi Barbara, I watched your video the other day about UA-cam channels dying. I watch UA-cam on my TV, I always make sure I like the video, but I can't comment or interact any other way. So now I am trying to jump on my phone or computer to write comments, like and reply to other comments. I hope this helps more with pushing your content through. I ❤ watching your channel and your laugh is infectious😂
Oh Wow!!! I saw you make the first one a year ago and have been completely smitten ever since. This one is equally fabulous and I would have a hard time picking my favorite. I have tried some fabric tabs but not for a whole journal ... I HAVE to make this one now!!! The Digital Collage Club is wonderful! I have a lifetime membership (through you!). I immediately printed out this grungy paper kit as soon as she posted it! (I have also already joined the ClipArt portion of the Club!). Sewing clumps of thread in is WAY cool! I'm a quilt artist (design/make) so it's really fun to sew these wonky edges - and they look so much better wonky than straight! I spend WAY too much time "over thinking" this stuff! So, some days I just collage in a random book just to get my ideas "free flowing"! Thank YOU for showing us this - warts and all - it is inspiring to know that sometimes you make mistakes and ALL your stuff comes our AMAZING!!! I really love the little in-video typed "notes to Barbara"! hahaha! Thank you! Big Love!!!
Loved the first one but I might love this one even more! Thank you for sharing your crafting in real life. If all we ever saw was perfection we wouldn’t see that our Junk Journal Heroes are human, also make mistakes, pivot, regroup and keep going till the end result is perfectly imperfect! Learning how to recover from an “oh no” is an important step in the process and keeps me from chucking my projects in the bin. Thanks again for keeping it real! ❤
❤🌟You are most welcome, Barbara!! Always a big pleasure to create beautiful grungy printables that you and all the "Making and Creating" 's members can use on your paper projects🌟❤
What an amazing little tag album. Love the digital club and all your ideas on how to use them! Thank you for the page weigh also - it helps me print to the right paper🎉🎉
Yes after watching this video the first time, I did try it the tab binding. I used cardboard for the pages and added flip outs, ups, and downs. I also added a few pockets. The book is about 5 inches thick by about 7 inches. I use it for my envelopes I painted and made by folding. Plus other pieces of papers I geli printed . I love it. Thanks so much for your videos.take care.
Love how you show us everything! I definitely relate to your “Oh no!” Moments. I also like how sometimes you just let it go and other times work through it and just do something differently! Your a great Artist, Teacher and Inspiration!
It looks very interesting, but I'm afraid my old brain will have to watch a few more times and take notes!!!!!! Your end results are beautiful!!!!! I would love to make a tag-binding journal!!!!
This came out amazing. So many great ideas for decorating the pages. I love tab binding. I've made a spring, Christmas and Halloween tab bound booklets on my channel.
I agree with you Barbara - I think the tab binding works well on smaller journals, and it's one of my favourite ways to make them. It's not the easiest of processes 🙃but the results are well worth the effort. 😊🧡💚🤎
I made a tab binding journal after I watched your last video on your tag journal. I made all of the same mistakes that you did as well as some of my own. It turned out in the end. 😅 Thanks for leaving your oh no’s in because we all make them. Loved this entire video Barbara. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
I think what makes “oh no!” moments so funny is that it’s so relatable! I mean, it’s literally the exact same response I have when I mess up.
😊❤️
It is so funny bc yes I do the same lol❤❤❤

I love your journal! The instruction was great. I’ve been wanting to make my first little journal, but hadn’t found good instructions to assemble it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art.
Bob Ross calls them "Happy Accidents". Others call them the "Oopsies"! Barbara ❤"Oh no-s❣️ At the end, it turns out a masterpiece 😊 Happy Journaling
Barbara, it doesn't matter how much trouble you have or don't have in your projects. You are always a blast to watch!!
Aaaaaw 🤭❤️
I love how you own it when you've done something not the way you meant, and than make it work for you. I love these little tag books! Yet another project to add to my ever growing "jj I want to make" list.

I love that you keep your mishaps in. It lets us know that we all make mistakes 😂💕
I just love this little guy! I learned how you spruce up your paper by stenciling, stamping and adding texture paste and sewing.
It’s always fun when you get something unexpected. 😊 Thanks for sharing.
You know, we are all just waiting for those "Oh, no!" expressions. Because we ALL have those "Oh, no!" moments.
🤭❤️
Lovely little journal. I like that you did the Alice theme. Such wonderful little touches.
I’m braver today than I was when I watched you make the last tab journal. So, yes, I will be trying my own very soon. I will start gathering my materials tomorrow. I can’t wait! Thanks for the encouragement.

You are one of my top favourite UA-camrs to watch, because you are so relatable! I find your voice in my head when I make a mistake saying “oh no!”
Aaaaaw thank you! That means a lot to me ❤️
Every time you say "oh no" I smile because that's my most spoken word in my craft room. Beautiful little journal. TFS 😊❤
Kindred spirits 😂❤️

Hey Brenda, I’m so sorry for your hurting heart ❤️. Im glad this video helped forget for a while. Sending good you my love ❤️
Incredibly intricate! During the flip through, you created a proper Victorian/Steampunk atmosphere, like a watchmaker who also dabbles in time travelling. A true Wonderland indeed. I also can't believe it took you only 3 hours to accomplish that level of embellishment!
Thanks so much! ❤️☺️
Love how you do your “Barbara Additions” to paper! Always love seeing your creativity in action🩷
I love this little tab binding journal! I will try to make one someday... I love the size and style! ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely love this beautiful , grungy little journal. Very creative and interesting to look at and enjoy. Love all the ephemera. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Loved your tab journal. Saved your video so I can make my first tab journal in the future. Thank you for sharing your artistry. ❤❤
Barbara, I absolutely LOVE this, and I love your being genuine and not editing out your “Oh no’s” you’re amazing! 💜💜💜
Hi Barbara. I love how the colours came through the paste. Very nice. Hugs 🤗 from North Carolina USA 🇺🇸
Thank you! ☺️
Again a very lovely Journal. Thank you, Barbara. This is fun

Haven’t tried tab binding yet, but I will. Thank you for sharing! ❤
I love that shelf, and tab binding in equal measures I think 🙊. That one inspired my rusty one using your haunted kit. They cool papers, I haven't used them yet. So cute -- I need to make more small journals. All of my journals are so big and I am running out of room 😃
I have done this binding on several journals. It is so random that I have to go back and watch a video every time I do it. It is so worth the effort, though. No wonder you were confused.
How the ink came through the paste is so cool! I had no idea it would do that. Lovely as always❤❤❤
It's so cute! I was actually inspired to make a 2 page version as a birthday card tonight. Such fun. I would like to try the tab binding in a full journal too, but I think I'll watch your original video for instruction LOL. Thanks Barbara!
Good decision 😅❤️
So adorable! I find it so fascinating that you take us along on your journal making process and that even if you make mistakes, you make it work. Love it!!❤😊
I love listening to your thoughts processes, your options and your mistakes 😂
Incredibly artistic creation Barbera! You are so gifted and talented and best of all inspiring to watch as you progress through your creations. Yes, yes, yes! I have made several. I also tried recently using Guest Checks and now I want to use rings. Too much fun.
I love this one as much as the first one❤ I've not done the tab binding and as soon as I get the rest of my craft room organized, AGAIN, I'm going to get out all my Alice goodies, print up some pages and get busy. Thank you so much! 😊
Love the little journal, the grunge is amazing and the embossing glaze elevates the ephemera. I really enjoyed this video, I must give tab binding a go.
Thanks! Have fun! 😊❤️
I have made a tab binding journal a couple of times and it was fun. I used Tim Holtz fabric tape to bind one and medical tape to bind the other one.
I love your journal shelf! I have my journals that I create out, too, so I can enjoy them!
Wonderful! 😊
This is so awesome! I love the size. I have used the tab binding on 3 journals so far and I love it, but I have made some of the same mistakes you made on this one. I was like nooooooo stooooop!!! Luckily you found out quickly 🙊 Amazing what embossing glace can do. The little tabbed tagbook is adorbs!
Thank you! I think your calling out took a while to travel all the way to my craft desk 😂😂😂
I joined the digital collage club years ago when I first found your channel! I purchased a lifetime membership & have never regretted it!
Wonderful! 😊
I was glad to see the tab binding again. I have cards from our 50th wedding anniversary party last year that I'm gonna try to bind with tab bindings. Lovely journals, I totally understand , filming, having to think about alternating the tags and then talking to us leads up to an Oh no moment...love lena
Wonderful little book! So textured and rich. I have done more than one type of tab binding.
Your tab journals are beautiful! I really enjoyed watching how you layered the background designs to your tags. That's something I always struggle with. I made a small tab journal last year using straight-flap envelopes and glued on Tim Holtz linen tape for the hinges.
This little journal is really gorgeous 😍
Barbara, I LOVE THIS! and the pair of journals is so special together. Thanks so much!
I love this idea. My niece loves Alice in Wonderland and this would make a perfect gift. It would be my first time trying this kind of binding. ❤❤
You got this! 💪🏼😊❤️
I'm definitely going to give this type of binding a go, I think this would work especially well with thicker paper, and I just absolutely love those little books, no wonder they're your fav, I can see why.
Thankyou Barbara for another great video, especially the oh nos lol. Xxx
You make me smile.🐱
Hi Barbara, I watched your video the other day about UA-cam channels dying. I watch UA-cam on my TV, I always make sure I like the video, but I can't comment or interact any other way. Thank YOU for showing us this - warts and all - it is inspiring to know that sometimes you make mistakes and ALL your stuff comes our AMAZING!!! I really love the little in-video typed "notes to Barbara"! hahaha! Thank you! Big Love!!!
Thank YOU! 😊❤️
I love the tags you made.
Thank you so much! Pls don’t chuck your projects in the bin! 🙈❤️
❤🌟You are most welcome, Barbara!! Always a big pleasure to create beautiful grungy printables that you and all the "Making and Creating" 's members can use on your paper projects🌟❤
Love the grungy, with the pop of color! ❤❤❤
Very lovely! My sewing machines likes to add its own “special touches” as well, lol.
Haha 😂❤️
Love this little journal. What a beautiful project❤❤❤
Yes, I want to try a tab binding soon.
What an amazing little tag album. Love the digital club and all your ideas on how to use them! Thank you for the page weigh also - it helps me print to the right paper🎉🎉
Thanks so much! ❤️
Aaaaaaw thank you! ❤️
It looks very interesting, but I'm afraid my old brain will have to watch a few more times and take notes!!!!!! Your end results are beautiful!!!!! I would love to make a tag-binding journal!!!!
You can do it! 😊❤️
This came out amazing. So many great ideas for decorating the pages. I love tab binding. I've made a spring, Christmas and Halloween tab bound booklets on my channel.
Loved the color palette, the texture and the embossing. Loved it all.

Love your work!! So much creativity & wonderful teaching. Thank you!!
Lovely little journal. ❤
Very cute 🥰 I haven’t tried that type of binding, but I think if you keep it small it is a “can do” try!! Thanks again!!
Liebe Barbara, danke für das Video. Das muss ich unbedingt probieren. 🥰🥰
Love it! ❤❤❤ such attention to detail! Would love to try this binding method but still a total beginner. For now I enjoy watching the process 😊
I agree with you Barbara - I think the tab binding works well on smaller journals, and it's one of my favourite ways to make them. It's not the easiest of processes 🙃but the results are well worth the effort. 😊🧡💚🤎
I love the tab binding. It turned out nice. 🎉
I have a journal that those would be perfect for.
You have some great ideas for tags especially the texture paste! I am going to do that one!
Love all the grungy tags🥰
I made a tab binding journal after I watched your last video on your tag journal. I made all of the same mistakes that you did as well as some of my own. It turned out in the end. 😅 Thanks for leaving your oh no’s in because we all make them. Loved this entire video Barbara. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
Haha I’m glad it worked out in the end! 😊👍🏻
