Most of the time people are just projecting their insecurities onto you. ts the last week!!! Lets make it count!!!

Its so hard for me to let go of families judgement/perceptions of me. I just had to start setting up boundaries & decide not to tell them everything anymore. Keeps me sane!

*Boundaries* such a vital concept! There are good reasons we are extra sensitive to family, especially when we are younger, for survival. Especially if you have destructive and manipulative family (*raising my hand*) it's easy to get mentally trapped in that space of letting their criticism get to you. I love the reminder of putting up those boundaries!

All of this rings so true. I went down that path of listening to the negative voices in my previous career, and it sapped all of the joy and fun out of it and I wasn't myself after a while. Stay off that path. The haters are not your people.

Such good advice. Sometimes people really want to bring you down bc they're down. But like you said it can also be bc they are hurting. You are a master of this exercise. Its not easy to show empathy to someone you dont know that insulted you. Hats off to you Angie!

Wow! Taking the time to meditate the way you have described, to think about the positives, is such an amazing thing to bring good vibes to your day ❤ Thinking and reflecting on the positives will help so much instead of spiralling and ragging yourself down

This is awesome, so great, i can't believe someone as positive and helpful as you actually gets negative comments! that's just outrageous. I want to share a quote/story that has to do with this, i think you all might like it:
"you have $86400 in your account, someone stole $10 from you. Would you be upset and throw all of the $86390 away in hopes of getting back a the person that took your $10, or move on and live, move on and live right? See, we have 86400 seconds in every day, so do not let someone's negative 10 seconds ruin the rest of the 86390...dont sweat the small stuff, life is bigger than that"

Really great!! I have this conversation regularly with my husband and friends/colleagues, I always say don't let people live rent free in your mind, hurt people tend to hurt people and we can't let them drag us down with them.

Okay, thank you so much Angie, I think this is key, because judgement can literally prevent you from doing what you love
This episode reminds me of a Dita Von Teese quote "you can be the juiciest peach in the world, there's always gonna be someone who doesn't like peaches" and we shouldn't let these people take control of our choices

Good stuff Angie! This literally goes hand in hand with a program I've been working personally for many years & it's mainly about keeping your side of the street clean; you can't control other people, but you can control how you react. It's great to see others have a similar POV even though they may be working/ living a different program/ lifestyle. You're a breath of fresh air! Give Carl lots of XOXO's he is the sweetest.

This is one of my favourite videos of yours! I always think about that. How much extra effort it takes to put out negativity into the world and it always makes me feel so sad for that person. It amazes me what someone will say to someone they don't personally know. It is insanity.

Great topic today and some great tips. I've found in the past those that negatively "abuse" you are usually jealous of you because you are making a positive change in your life and they don't have the drive to do it for themselves. I once had an ex-employer who made me redundant from my job at her beauty salon right at a crucial time when I was adopting my daughter. I then had to act fast and create my own business from home and for months she would slate me to clients, blame me for her business failing, then she would start copying me with what I was posting on social media. At first it used to get to me, but then I saw it as a compliment because she was taking time out of her day to "stalk me" rather than focus on her own life and business. She has since gone out of business, and to me that speaks volumes. If I had let her get to me then I would be the one without a business and not being able to support my family. So she really did me a favour, unknowingly giving me the push to do it for myself and have the flexibility to work around being a mum. There is a positive in every negative!

Another great talk, 🥰it is so true that hurt people, bitter people negatively programmed people, bored people and unfulfilled people tend to be the ones that hop on the Internet and respond & post negative content. That being said it does your purpose a disservice to fall into it and takes you off your own path, keep on pushing and keep it moving! 💯

I love love love today's Daily Grind chat (it's also Day 27 you guys!!!! We are totally the 1%)
Handling "feedback" and negativity is really tough and from experience, I tend to just shut down and want to crawl into a hole and die (yes, I'm dramatic, I know lol!)
But I do use similar tricks and tips to what Angie gave us today especially the first one - being authentic- and also remembering all the people I look up to i.e., Korean Idols (BTS, SEVENTEEN), influencers --> Angie Bellemare-

This is such a good topic. I don’t have a big enough following to really deal with this at the moment, BUT- I have gone down the rabbit hole of reading thousands on comments on famous peoples posts and I ALWAYA say, “the fact that this person had enough time or went out of their way to comment and say such mean things..” it’s crazy lol- I do pity them.

A lot of people talk about tolerance these days 😅 I disagree with many things my family does or believes but I still love them. And I take constructive criticism. Hate is another story. You can kinda tell when a comment is just someone else's self loathing or rationalization and not just a suggestion or difference of opinion. Thick skin is underrated in 2022.

Thankful for this and for Angie! The point about how long it takes for people to be destructively critical reminds me also to stop responding to people like that. Just like if someone is deliberately mean and needs to be blocked! Even one minute on such a person is wasted. Good point- use the energy for self and people that are a positive/ constructive influence instead! 💓 I honestly did think about Jesus and how he was criticized to the extent of becoming crucified and is STILL frequently criticized to this day. As a Christian this really puts my brain back in perspective.

Wholeheartedly agree! I was recently a part of a program and the person I reported to was so rude and tried to hide her criticism of people on her team by calling it “feedback”. She would talk about being authentic on social media and turn around and say “take pics and post the best one. If you don’t get likes delete and try again” how is that authentic? 😂 I moved on but still get her emails🤦‍♀️

This message was SO SO powerful! I’ve been there in that phase with worrying and caring about what everyone says because I’m a people pleaser. Let me just say, I was unhappy, drained, and absolutely miserable. This year I’ve been practicing being who I am and staying true to myself and I have never felt so free and had a much better day and outlook on life. There are the select few people I have to work on blocking out and setting boundaries with, but I have progressed so much this year with my outlook on what people say. Thanks Angie for this message it meant a lot 🧡

    • @MsChelle92

Its honestly refreshing to read that someone else is like me & going through the same thing this year. Im also a ppl pleaser & its so hard to not feel like a villain when I tell ppl no. Thats one battle I still struggle with but otherwise finally saying no feels like the biggest weight lifted off my shoulders! I also feel like im keeping secrets by not telling certain ppl everything but its felt so good to not have to hear their snarky remarks about my life choices. I just feel like when you have a good heart you just have to guard it more & only share it with those that deserve it! ❤️

@@MsChelle92 OMG same! I feel so bad when I have to say no! But I also get very emotionally drained and don’t ever spend time on myself or for myself, but I realized I can’t help others until I help myself. So that’s honestly been my mentality for a majority of this year. And for sure, you definitely are not alone my friend 🧡

I love that you covered this topic. So you've become a household name for me, which if you knew me, you'd understand this next bit. My daughter and mother and a few others watched a little of your stuff over my shoulders and they were confused about why I would follow you. They loved you but you're not MY normal cup of tea (too much pink for me lol). What I tell everyone who knows my very INTJ (Enneagram 5) self, is "There's something about her I love. I think it's that she seems to just genuinely be who she is and she does whatever she wants all the time. She created and lives out her dream life. So even if it's a little different from my dreams, I am obsessed with someone who does WHATEVER she wants always. She doesn't seem to edit much for others."
Anyhow, now my whole family (partner, daughter, parents, etc) know who you are too lol
