Fr!!! "If I remember it, I'll regret it, so just let me forget it." shit went incredibly hard.
same here! . this is ridiculously good stuff
i'm not sure if it's only the 2nd time though.
Absurdly good
Just banger after banger

Eternal Sunshine of a Blackout Mind.
No but for real I am just glad I got hammered this early in the morning so I will be able to watch this video for the first time all over again tomorrow.
Meet me at.... Happy hour....
I lost it there lmfao
Nah this is memento more than eternal sunshine
@@ColinCassidyClogsit's Eternal Sunshine, that's what "meet me at happy hour" is directly referencing
i'll drink to that, cheers
@@ColinCassidyClogs It's literally a reference to eternal sunshine, even the video title is a reference to it. What in this entire video has anything to do with memento except for being related to memory?
The level of detail is insane. They are wearing each other’s shirt from the basketball scene. How many times have they met? Doomed to repeat the endless cycle.
Ayo I didn’t notice that 🤯 incredible
Good catch! That's an amazing detail
At least 3 times.
i dunno, i think its beautiful in a way 'cause they both remember but they choose not to so they can have the same dumb fun every night with no regrets and go on their way in life
Doomed, or blessed?
The “meet me at Montauk” replacement is fucking genius. 10000% they were stoned talking about eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and said “let’s make it about drunk homies” 😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing
Lmao I thought they were gonna go the 50 first dates route
Wow shit
One of them must love that movie, because in the "leaving the group chat" video, the song it uses is from the movie.
I recognized the reference, but when i read the word Montauk, all the memories of watching that movie again and again years ago flooded back.
as an alcoholic in recovery this scene really made me think of all of the people i have forgotten after adventures like this. im more then a year sober now and sometimes i walk trough my city and lock eyes with people and get some vague idea of knowing them. Or they remember me and i dont remember them, and just like in the sketch its probably for the best.
The look on Will's face as the skit ends is absolutely heartbreaking. Shit makes me wanna cry.
He looks straight at the camera and winks. He remembers.
@@CurryNearMe he absolutely remembers, this is established by the tattoo, and implied by the scenes of Chet telling him to please let him forget. He is doing Chet a solid.
The implication is that he is reacting to Chet saying "good", meaning he realizes that Chet also remembers. This means that he realizes Chet chooses to be closed off and not "friends" in the same way Will wishes to be.
The reasons are up for interpretation and I think potentially have a lot to say about our relationship to alcohol and its place in our culture and why people go to bars in the first place .
@@Fever2113I think they just wanted to make a funny spin on a rom com but make it between two straight men. Which is why they are holding each other in several scenes and they treat it like a breakup skit.
@@greenpigking6974 It's a spin on eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.
Speak for yourself, I am crying lol
going for the "how many versions of Iris can we put in 1 sketch" award. lmao

anyone know what the sweeping orchestral version is that’s playing over the original at the peak of the flashbacks? It’s so good!

WHY AM I CRYING AT AN ALMOST FRIDAY TV VIDEO RN
😂 same mate - same 👍🤝
“TRAPPED” also got me emotional
I lost a great friend of mine about a year and a half ago. He was an old soul and smart as hell- but had some demons. We had many a blackout night like this in college reading poetry talking philosophy and having great times. This video brings me back- were we living a life that was destined to fade into oblivion? Looking back- it’s hard to tell where reality ended and drunkenness began. But I know it was real. Our friendship was real. Everything fades into memory eventually- but people live through those still here that remember them. RIP my friend- we’ll meet again, in this world or the next
I have a friend like this. We talk math and Dostoevsky and philosophy. My condolences
Legit the best sketch group of all time
Agreed
Im telling Shane you said that
Where is your loyalty?
Aye what happened to the john jacobs interview on your channel. I know that dude
Bro, honestly, I've seen (and loved) each and every one of Gilly and Keeves episodes, and honestly? I agree and will take the barks and bites of the Dawgz as well

Not even Chritopher Nolan could've structured that many plot twists in under 5 minutes.
Edit: After seeing this for like the 10th time I just got the Memento reference of the timeline in BW presenting the present, and the timeline in color presenting the past, and they both converging at the end, switching from BW to color to create an endless loop of not remembering this had already happened.
The tattoo as a memory device is also borrowed from Memento.
Wait how? @BrainchildDnB
@@mwhohn the main character is covered in tattoos!
I don't think it's that complicated. I'm pretty sure color represents when they can remember each other, which is why it switches as he begins to flashback.
How do these always feel like 20 minute short films with a fraction of the runtime.
Absolutely love it
3 years ago hammered at bar I got invited to a Super Bowl party, I told the dude you won’t remember and he promised on his life he would….. I guess he’s dead now. This sketch hit home
Chet Collins is gonna be on the big screen soon. Angus will probably have the rest of the boys tied up in his basement.
and still suffering from crentis
no Jack martin has a great career set out for him
The jersey swap hit so hard
The ceremonial jersey swap after playing the whole game shirtless makes it so much funnier.
The return was foretold, but I never truly believed…
This is so strangely iconic… honestly how are these guys not major movie stars by now? The acting is quite literally perfect…
They’re white straight males that’s not flying in 2024
skit comedy is the conduit to deliver humour.a movie is too much.this is good stuff.
Oh, trust that they will be bigger than major movie stars.
Jordan Peele is a great example of "just a sketch comedian" who's become way bigger than most hollywood stars.
These guys are up there with him in creative talent and execution, I believe.
@@TheUraniumCore jordan peele was already an establish actor in mad tv
kinda embarrassed how emotional this vid made me. so many friends and acquaintances just in your life one moment then out the next never to be seen again, but still leaving an impact of the memories we shared even if we don't recall them immediately. my ex of 4 years and I broke up a while back (semi-amicably so no malice) but she decided that we shouldn't remain in each other's lives even though I wanted to stay friends. it's been 2 years since last speaking with each other. hope yall are well out there
"You and i are not friends tomorrow. We are friend right now. That's it." fucking love this line.
These guys keep dropping the hardest lines known to man in the middle of funny comedy sketches.
@@DarthDuck404To be fair it’s probably based on a line from Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. A lot of this sketch is like that movie, most of their sketches homage movies. It’s genuinely cool though and I like to read the comments to see what they homaged this time. But this one stuck out to me already because I love Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind
The bad acting of acting "drunk" is the best thing lmao
it's so bad it's good lmao
I think someone mistakenly told them to act mentally r worded instead of drunk.
Notoriously in acting drunk is the hardest thing to sell on camera, these guys did their best! but no one will hold a candle to Jim Lahey
@@SpencerGatten I've heard that a lot I'm wondering why that is tho. Like surely most actors have been drunk before, or if they don't remember the experience, they can just watch other people being drunk or film themselves being drunk and rehearse and mimic it till they learn?
@@MamadNobari Jim Lahey is a character from Trailer Park Boys. Can highly recommend

Chills. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind could never

@@NoMedsMoviesi love that movie but the whispered “meet me at happy hour” is obviously parodying “meet me in montauk” and the concept of two people torn between wanting to remember/forget each other is the entire point of eternal sunshine

The detail of the shirt swap and then wearing each others shirts the next meet up is cool.
Jesus christ this one brought me tears, actual tears
You just hear Iris start playing in the background and you know man, you know.
I love me a good Falbonian twist made popular of course by Tyler Falbo, the creator of the falbonian twist
I don't agree with everything Falbonists say, but even if God is not a Peacock with a 7 inch donger, I still think we can all appreciate how it informs this beautiful work of art.
This is peak cinema, I’ve seen this video more than ten times hoping it would have been longer. I would pay so gratefully to watch a bromance like this on a movie

This is so relatable, cuz when you go out at night and party and you're wasted, you suddenly try to be friends with everyone. All your differences are set aside and you feel like you could share everything and anything with the people around you. Your defenses are down, your inhibitions are gone, and everything feels absolutely great. The tragedy of it all is knowing that it's only temporary.
I think we all want to be that way all the time. It's just daring to be open with others and letting your defenses down. And daring to believe it doesn't have to be temporary. Easier said than done sometimes, but we have to start somewhere!
@@PurpleWolferine For sure, my brother

HOW ARE THEY NOT HUGE STARS YET?
Idk why but the when he said "Don't you get it? I don't wanna remember." at 2:05 broke my heart 😭
I'm so excited for your future boys! You all are extremely talented in acting and writing. There aren't many channels, let alone TV shows that can pull off the satirical storytelling you put casually on your YT channel. The filming, editing, acting, production, lighting, and writing are so good. Not just this one but basically all of your videos. The chemistry you boys have with one another is also incredible.
I haven't watched many sketch comedy series in recent years. I feel like there really haven't been too many channels with back-to-back bangers. The consistency always fluctuates. But watching your videos for a year now, you all hit the mark! Each time, I am laughing my ass off into space. Soo good! I'm excited for the next 7 videos to come along. Legends!
Genuinely can't wait to see what they have in store for us over this next season!
They come back with a banger! Iris is so thematically appropriate for how both characters feel
That felt like I just watched an entire 3 seasons in 4 minutes. That was amazing wtf. Just a story where two guys inexplicably end up meeting each other at the bar and always forgetting what happened the next day.
