This is a video featuring the Allied Army fightning against the German Army during the Battle of the Bulge. It features the Allied Army defending against the German Army attacks and an airplanes battle, simulated in Call of Duty: WW2.
Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the fourteenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series. The game is set in European theatre of the war. The campaign is centered around a squad in the 1st Infantry Division, and follows their battles in the Western Front, while the multiplayer expands on different fronts not seen in the campaign. The game was released worldwide on November 3, 2017.

My great grandfather fought in the battle of the bulge.. spent his 24th birthday in a foxhole in the middle of the Ardennes forest in Belgium.. also lost his best friend and by his words his “adopted” baby brother.. my great grandfather was a great man.. he died in 2009 from hemorrhaging resulting from an aneurysm.. rip grandpa

We need a call of duty with an eastern front that includes all the biggest battles like Stalingrad and Kursk and Berlin

Am I the only one who would think it would be awesome if a game called "call of duty 1918" was made, like they had the main character be an American marine, and there would be trench raids, gas attatcks where you have to wear a gas mask and it kinda obscures your vision as you play the level, and there would be parts with soldiers being to scared to go across no man's land and the officers would kill them, friendly fire, and a level in like the arragone forest, a dogfight level... I know battlefield has a ww1 game but I honestly think call of duty could make am amazing campaign for it, along with a great multiplayer

You are not sharing with friends you shoot what you are asigned. Besides lee enfield fired different round making it complicated logistically if every trooper efired different caliber. It could happen in some random situation where you pick up enemy weapons but other than that its is pure bullshit.

Best mission in the game. Awesome to see the planes arrive. People, because people are stupid, are upset that this didn’t play out like a history book or documentary and are especially mad that the devs want you to be able to use different guns here and there

Had a professor who was in 101st. He said he'd look up and the sky was filled from horizon to horizon with bombers and that 10s of bombers would be falling and 100s of chutes would be floating down. Almost incomprehensible.

@@eddysmith5137 . My Prof's "funny" story was that he was humping machine gun ammo (the man was all of 5'4") with a platoon on a night move. Well, he slipped and crashed to the ground, sending the ammo boxes and ammo clattering down the path. Everyone froze, expecting to be cut to pieces. Luckily, no reaction. I was thankful he could tell us a bit about his experiences.

No offense but wtf? How old are you? WW2 vets are in their last days, especially D Day type of vets who were there since the invasion of Normady. We're about to be in the 3rd decade in the Y2k stage. How naive and dumb do you think we are? I kind of don't believe you. I can't fathom that this would be a college professor.So is it a hs or Jr high teacher? I guess if you're in 1st-5th grade but still, that would most definitely make your teacher 70+ yrs old. Come on.... Most vets from the war on Terrorism since 2001 are in their early to mid 50s, Vietnam vets are around 60+ yrs old. I had a Vietnam vet as a science teacher in 5th grade. I'm now 26 yrs old so this was back in 03-04 for me. I'm sure he's retired by now, he was getting there in age. He openly admitted to sneaking in when he was 18 yrs old, since he was in still in hs, he could have skipped an went straight into college as long as he would applied before January 1st (loophole he called it ). He was old asf by the time I had him so do the math, he joined up in like 68 or 69 and I had him in the end of 03 to 04. I call bs on your WW2 tale but nice story, I could picture it without someone telling me that they knew someone who knew someone that went to war lol. I think this is the best mission, closest scene to the Band of Brothers Battle of the Bulge episode. Along with COD: United Offensive.

2:30 this entire exchange of dialogue is so stupid. The reason why America's line was cold and under-prepared for the winter was not because they had a drunk Lt. It was because supply lines were cut off. That is a good enough conflict. You don't have to synthesize a shitty Lt drunk off his ass for narrative conflict. Furthermore, if their Lt was this emotionally compromised prior to getting into battle, than he would have been court marshaled or at least reassigned. America only wanted the best on their front lines during the greatest land invasion in the history of man kind.

This game is deep because of the real life experiences soldiers had to endure including parts of my family who served during this time. Great grandfather served as TEC 5 i believe in World War 2. Another one served as a First Sergeant. One of my great uncles served in the battle of the Bulge when he was 18.
This is quite a gameplay video 💯 always thought the war was an intense and serious situation.

I really wanted to love this game. However I played it once and by the end of it I was totally bored shitless. Same old linear format, every mission is the same....you fight for a bit, then there's a cutscene, then you fight for another few minutes on the last objective in that particular mission. Yawn. By the time we reached the Rhine I couldn't give a fuck whether the squad lived or died, and I've never had any desire to play through it all again. A real shame because visually it looked great.

Stephen Mohammed I've just been between games this last week, so I've played it again. Opinion still stands, I'm afraid. The first 3 missions I enjoyed.....I found the other bits of collectibles, got some trophies, all going well....then it's downhill. Like before, it gets really tedious in the 2nd half, the missions are a drag, and there are scenery glitches I kept getting stuck on. It's oddly 'lifeless' as a game, and it doesn't help that all the characters are unlikeable....none of them have anything that makes you want to fight for them (which is the main driving force of half of the games out there!).

In my opinion, COD WW2 is too generic and predictable, as the events are just too overrepresented. BFV tries something new by straying from the usual WW2 portrayals. Disregard the shitty Norwegian campaign and females in multiplayer.
It would be a cool to see the war from the axis side.

One thing that I never really liked about the resistance how can a resistance member be on D-Day I mean if it's a German resistance which just looks like an officer than that actually make sense but sometimes when I'm doing the resistance operation and goes resistance
Call of Duty 3 had different stories that included those factions
Pierson has one of those style of tommy guns that probably wasn't used near the end of the war. It was heavy and the drum mag rattled too much. They also can't load a bolt action that has a scope on it with stripper clips, that's impossible.
He has the M1928 Variant. You're right, nobody used it in WW2.
What about in the Korean War?

Great as a game but not very accurate historically. Veterans of the Bulge noted you never saw the Germans but you felt their fire.
Once in a position you learned not to move but keep low and still and quiet and only fire when you had a clean shot. There was
actually very little running around and shouting but instead, officers and NCOs reminded their troops to
keep low, remain quiet, conserve your ammo and make every shot count.
They went through the American lines like a hot knife through butter, clearly defeating the notion that the Americans were the best soldiers on the lines at that time. They were able to pull this off without major support from the air and sea, a which was the key to every American Victory of the war. If there was no eastern front, America would have easily lost 2 million men in France alone.
I want either a Black Ops 1 remaster or another Vietnam era Call of Duty

If Activision would have spent 50% of their budget on hiring Steven Spielberg as a history and narrative consultant and built a game with graphics only slightly better than COD2, I may have considered giving this game the time of day.

@@LazyLizzy706 Spielberg might be the best storyteller of historical fiction and non fiction ever. Being a veteran does not necessarily mean you're a great storyteller--even of your own story. There are visual and auditory conventions in storytelling that someone like Spielberg can help convey on screen better than most.

We need a Call of Duty with all the British campaigns. A specially the D day missions like sword beach, Gold etc. Sick of seeing the American perspective of D day, making out their the heroes of ww2.
Honestly Sword Beach would be a good start if you had a character land in the 3rd wave when the fighting was basically over and you clear the last couple of positions before being thrown at the defences behind the beach like Hillman and Morris, Then after that you could honestly just make a game about the slog to capture Caen.
1. Why is a GI using a scoped Lee Enfield?! At minimum it should be an M1; realistically it would’ve been a bolt-action Springfield. 2. P47s assigned to cover bombers covered bomber streams; ground support were separate missions. Fighters on escort missions never carried bombs.

I like these new games. I remember paying over $400 for the Atari when it first came out. I can't play anymore due to my authritis. At least I can watch other people play! I miss watching my daughter play GTA. My favorite was Playstations Metal Gear Solid & Medal of Honor back in the day. On the original PS1. I still have it & all the games.

Such disrepsect to all the unsung heros who frozed to death in Moskow, who broke through the Leningrad encirclement, who fought in Stalingrad which had more causuaties than all allied causuaties throughout the entire war, who beaten the once unbreakable Panzers in Kursk, who liberated camp of Auschwitz, Treblinka.... who sacrifaced their lives in the defense of Sevastopol, who fought in the street of Budepest and who bursted through the Reichstag in Berlin. It is unacceptble to not have a game of WWII without the Soviets. Actually no because there is no way ANY black troop could fight with whites just because he "Gave up stripes" and he also up until that point had been at the camp which is stupid because why would he give up stripes to get even further from combat. And yes i know there was Blacks in ww2 and the only combat units they had were a Tank and Fighter Division which id like to see in a game but i guess they just werent importnant enough...
