Cortez Johnson I mean in that one five-second riff you can’t really define one way or the other. Guitar tone is pretty close between the two and it’s literally only the low growl that makes me not think hardcore. Hardcore has some pretty loose edges in definition though, especially when talking about “breakdowns” in the songs.
This compared to laughing tracks is a joke, just sounds like another local beat down band. The write seems to far apart from laughing tracks. Yea the down tempo and heaviness is there but something seems different.

To be honest, When I heard "...And Still I Wander South" and "Mistakes like Fractures" From this upcoming album, I realized I was in the wrong BIG TIME! You can't mistake those vocals and its so raw and powerful. I apologize I didn't give them a closer look when I first discovered Knocked Loose.

I’ve never really given this band a chance because the vocals were so much different than I’m used to. Glad I listened to this because that was one of the most epic songs I’ve ever heard.
One thing I love about KL is that they keep most of their songs 3 minutes or less. So many hardcore/slam type bands trying to make 4-5 minute bangers when it just gets a little old when you try to go that long. KL always keep it short and heavy.
I have to admit, it took me a while to get used to the vocals because they were so different and unique, but now they're probably one of my favorite bands currently.
