I got this booth last year and it's great. One thing I did to protect the led's from any extra spray especially with rattle cans is to wrap a bit of kitchen cling film round the lights, which is easy to do as they unclip so easily. Plus it's super quick to change if you get paint on them.
I have exactly the same spray booth for now 6 months, I totally like it... I don't have many space so I have to fold it each time in it's box and no problem, nothing broke and lights still perfectly working..

I got one of these about a month ago - fell for the size of it as my earlier spray booth was always too small. I love this one - its big, bright and quite powerful. It may sound noisy on camera but in use its not bad at all...
Started watching the video and was so amazed at the paint and miniature collection you got, that I completely forgot what the video was actually about. Then, at 8:16 the moment of clarity came.
That dual fan booth lists for $189.99 right now on todays date of 11/5/2022. The single fan version lists for $129.99 right now. Thanks for the review. But all of your reviews are awsome anyway though. Thanks for doing such great reviews.
The leds look close to 5000K, but that may be exaggerated by the yellower (2000K?) room lights. Painting at a Daylight (~4000K) gives a truer idea of reality. If the lights were NOT 4000K, I’d have to change them. Getting variable color would work, but you’d need a 24V wall brick rather than the probable 12v you have. It makes a huge difference for us figure guys. When I began with leds, I made sure of the color temperature. Of course, getting lamps or strips that lets you select your temperature is the best. Costs a bit more, but the control is worth it. Some model construction is easier with blue light. It’s nice to be able to choose one’s best lighting. You have a great batch of videos!
Just wanted to ask, have you had any issues spraying acetone through your airbrush into this booth? The reason I ask is because some plastics dissolve in acetone, and am wondering if the plastic that this booth is made of is something to be concerned about. Thanks!

Hi love the video. Can you please tell me the make of the additional booster you have? And do you think it would be worth getting or would the dual fan setup in the unit be sufficient. Thank you!
That’s a good review and tempting buy. But the problem with those kind of extractor is that there not made for lacquers. They only extract the air with a filter not design for harmful particulates. Do you know if this one is made for it ?
Great looking spray booth, you sound very happy and pleased. I'm curious since its hard to tell from the video. Will your new booth accommodate either 48th or 32nd scale projects in there? Would appreciate your input on booth size accommodations. Happy for your awesome purchase.
I build 1/48 aircraft and they fit fine. I haven't built a 1/32 in a long time so that one I wouldn't know about but the booth measures 20 inches across so I don't think you'll have a problem
love that the fan exhaust is at the top on this model. I bought the single fan from the same brand due to space issues, and it sticks out so much because the main exhaust parts go straight out the back. the plastic side shields are NOT full proof though, and I find that I need a paper towel/sheet on the corners or underneath just to make sure no spray gets through the cracks and onto the table.
This is my booth, works well only issue I have had is the lights can lose connection at connections just a few lite taps and lit again. Filters I found midwest had on clearence for $2 a peice for hobby booth filters which are 3 times bigger so (cut 3 filters for $2)
So that secondary fan that you added in-between the two hoses, that increases the amount of air pulled through the two built-in fans? I'm hesitant to use my Vivohome dual-fan booth because I'm afraid it won't pull the overspray and fumes through the filter fast enough and expel the rest through the exhaust. Whatever helps to make airbrushing enamels and lacquers safer even with a mask on is a plus in my book. I've been looking at the Kaizo Waterfall, but it's seemingly been out of stock for months now.
I've been looking around this weekend to buy a spray booth, yours was the best video of the best product - Many thanks for your time showing this - Off to buy it now. Also, what a great model workshop space you have and so many supplies! Awesome!

GREAT Videos! Thanks for doing these and sharing! ADDING: I ended up picking up one of these spray booths and LOVE it! The adjustable light is a plus for me and the size is about 1.5 to 2x my older booth - very happy so thanks again for the review

Great review - love the spray booth, going to order one after watching this! Curious to know where you got the acrylic shelving for your paints? Best, pL
Nice video on this. I test my fan's draw by burning an incent cone, that way I can see the smoke being drawn in. For my inside base, I bought a roll of paper that painters use to tape to the floor (comes in different colors and widths, from Loews). Do you find that you need the extra, external fan, for this? You mentioned a new compressor, what was the brand and do you have a link?
I just got a roll of aquarium filter padding that I use in the booth. There's a link in the description. My favorite paints are lacquers for sure. They go on great every time and clean up is easy. And pretty cheap too. Also I like Tamiya Acrylics. They are not truly acrylic, they're a solvent based acrylic hybrid that you can thin with lacquer thinner. They go on perfect every time also. Check out my videos for Tamiya Acrylics and Mr Color
As mine happens to be near a window I understand your problem. In my previous home I didn't so I had a large box where the vent went into and collected the exhaust. I had it filled with paper towels, rags, crumbled newspaper and that material you pour your motor oil into when you change your own oil at home. Worked great. A friend did the same.

Hello matey, I hope you are well. Can you choose how many light bars you use? E.g. can you leave 2 disconnected (maybe just the 2 side lights) while the others remain functioning? I wouldn't imagine so looking at the way they connect. It would be nice if the selector switch allowed light selection.
I have an older version of this booth, and still works really well, but thinking about an upgrade like your new booth. May I ask where you purchased your rechargeable, magnetic Light? After watching your video, I looked, but found nothing that looked as versatile as the one you showed/used. Thank You!
I bought the single fan with no variable speed control. I'll put a speed adjustment in later. Is there a way to vent the air inside of you're using only acrylic paints? It's to cold to vent outside. Could I vent the air into a box full of air filters with a dedicated path for airflow??
Hello, Are the fans of this paint booth "explosion" proof for flammable paints? I am looking for a paint booth that would allow me to spray lacquers and enamels, as well have a good filtration to filter out the over spray and fumes. How does this specific booth fare in terms of these necessities?
I have a very similar spray booth. Love it! Very interested in the extra fan you use as a booster. Could you maybe do a quick side video about the booster setup? Thank you for all you do for the community!
Any crafty types know a way to further reduce the noise from the fans? I'm willing to modify this significantly, replacing the fans with whatever quiet versions there are.
I have the Sparmax SB-88, but not too impressed by the airflow. Pretty low according to Sparmax themselves: 68cfm. I'm thinking about upgrading to this one, should be 320cfm. I know there's also the waterfall variant, but I'm afraid it's a bit too high for my room (it sits under an angled roof), the work area is raised also so that might be uncomfortable, and I read complaints about too much maintenance.
I bought that same booth off Amazon. Unfortunately with mine the dual fans sped up and slowed down constantly and rapidly on their own. Went back and forth with the manufacturer but their answers were confusing and vague so I just sent it back to Amazon. I then bought the Mr. Hobby Super Booth Compact which I am really happy with. It has the squirrel cage type fan which is very quiet but also safe for using laquers since the fumes do not go through the fan motor, which is not true for the computer fans that come with the review unit. However I did like the unit that you have other than for the fan issues as it has a good work space and decent lighting. As a side note, take the vent off so you can see the dual fans and see if you can figure out how you would replace them if you had to. I saw no way of doing it, they must manufacture it in an odd way that results in preventing access.
Mine is similar to what is in the video except if I can buy the same spray booth I have now to, add in conjunction, to double the width of the spray booth. Great for my 1:20.3 scale (F scale) outdoor trains. Lighting is all LED that surrounds the model.
Hello, can you give us an idea of size? Perhaps swing a 1/24 or 1/16 scale model car inside. I have the dimensions but it's very difficult to judge overall size without a point of reference. The new model looks different, the fans look like computer fans and it's nearly $200 now. Thanks
What air brush compressor do you use? Is that the Tooty next to the box? Would you recommend it or is there a better one you want? If I'm short on space, are the minis at Spraygunner any good, or do you think the Tooty is better? No-Name also makes a mini as well as Sparmax, & Grex Aeris has the Compact Piston Compressor. Any thoughts? Love the vids!
how do you clean the filter? I got the paint particle trapped on the filter so much that it only lasts for 2 kits... oh, don't put too much pressure on the bottom part, it will crack
Where do you vent the fumes to? Window? Ceiling? I really can't do it for a window, so I'm wondering if you can just vent it into the ceiling space. Or maybe the wall space (timber framed)?
Dumb question time. I want a booth instead of airbrushing outside, but having a vent like yours isn't feasible yet. The room I want the booth in has a window, so would I just...stick the hose out the window? If so would I just stick some foam board in the window to block bugs/heat/cold 'til I close the window again?
Manufacturer is Ningbo Haosheng Pneumatic Machinery Co. ltd, they sell as B2B so the resellers set the price hence the price variation you see on the web - the brand name on is therefor the reseller, not the manufacturer. It is beyond me why they don't sell direct - they also do make compressors and airbrushes. I have two of the older booths, smaller size, with lights etc, don't buy one without lighting! Note the lighting has covers which protect the LED's that can be slid off and cleaned (I use mostly acrylics so it is easy) l cover the interior with cling film and replace it about twice a year The old 440 I have vent straight back - not straight upwards as in the 550 - so they take up more room in terms of depth, and only one fan - never had an issue with this clearing the flow, noise is OK as well. Note that the series 420 = 420 MM / 17" wide - the one in this video is the 550 = 550 MM /22" wide ; 420 cost $84 in 2017 & $73 in 2018 with all the extraction hoses, including taxes & delivery - work very well

I have the same spray booth, and its okay. Kind of wish it went a bit deeper. The separate light switch is awesome and the dual fans. Where did you get that paint rack for the Monument paints "pro acryl"
I just got into customizing 1:64 diecast cars, what paint would you recommend for those? Also if you could only chose one brand for acrylic and one for lacquer what brands would you pick?

it's like a shop, well done mate
Any crafty types know a way to further reduce the noise from the fans? I'm willing to modify this significantly, replacing the fans with whatever quiet versions there are.
So with the second exhaust fan plugged in you're able to use the spray booths fans at full blast and makes it more quiet?
What a tour!!!! Dreaming of the nazca paint and mrxp and all the great system you built. What a great room!
Thanks buddy. Took the better part of the a year to get to this point
Mine is similar to what is in the video except if I can buy the same spray booth I have now to, add in conjunction, to double the width of the spray booth. Great for my 1:20.3 scale (F scale) outdoor trains. Lighting is all LED that surrounds the model.
Where did you get the paint shelves? The clear plastic ones? Thanks
Hey B-Rex, how are you getting hold of the Tamiya enamel paint jars? I've only seen them on Ebay shipped from Hong Kong.
I found a retailer website in Poland. They ship fast and they were cheap. I'll share the link for sure once I get them
Hello, can you give us an idea of size?
Not sure but I've seen people vent into a large sealed box with rags and cat littler in it
Booth is great. I got one a few months ago and have been painting like most nights.
Yes, I sealed my window around the ventilation hose with window sealer foam in a spray can. It works great
@@barbatosrex9473 that's very helpful, you're the best, man.
Note that the series 420 = 420 MM / 17" wide - the one in this video is the 550 = 550 MM /22" wide ; 420 cost $84 in 2017 & $73 in 2018 with all the extraction hoses, including taxes & delivery - work very well
Looks like a nice spray booth. Are replacement parts available if one of the lights or fans fail?
I think so, seems to be knocked off by e everybody
how does this setup work for painting models with acrylic paint
Works perfect, I spray with acrylics every day
You showed a group of airbrush primers, which one would you recommend for use with Createx Airbrush Colors?
Stynylrez Primers. They're awesome and come in over 15 colors too
Thanks for your help!
Great video and even better bench tour. I am trying to set up my bench, could you post some links to the types of shelves or just mention what they are. Also are the steps on the wider shelves spice rack shelving? That is an amazing bench LOVE it and LOVE your videos.
I go over several of my racks and shelves in this video ua-cam.com/video/Fg0UgDCfQlY/v-deo.html
I have the same spray booth, and its okay. Kind of wish it went a bit deeper. The separate light switch is awesome and the dual fans. Where did you get that paint rack for the Monument paints "pro acryl"
Use the link in the Pro Acryl video, the place that sells the paint, sells the rack too
@@barbatosrex9473 Thanks, I found it after posting it. Appreciate the reply and all the videos you put up.
I just got into customizing 1:64 diecast cars, what paint would you recommend for those?
Also if you could only chose one brand for acrylic and one for lacquer what brands would you pick?
but where does the silver hose go to?
Great video I added the spray booth to my shopping cart. Do you have a channel where you build your kits?
Not yet. I'm concentrating on paint test at the moment. Once I'm caught up I will switch the focus of the channel. I will also need better cameras and editing software too 👍
Rex, how are those Vic acrylics? I've only ever seen them on HLJ at pretty good prices. Thanks.
Wow....
Your collection is overwhelming for me. I'm brand new to airbrushing, and your collection has my head about to explode. So far I've only tried Vallejo air brand. I am impressed, and somewhat intimidated. I don't know how you keep track of all that stuff, or how you remember what works for what, but I guess thats probably why I subscribed :D
86 is such an awesome series!
Have you tested Proline paints for RC bodies?
I haven't, do you have a link for me
@@barbatosrex9473 I’m not sure how to add link from my phone on here but they are on Amazon…I couldn’t find their complete paint sets but they sell sets of 6 in their different types of colors
We’re did you get the plastic shelves
Not able to find the link. So who’s make is it please
Links to the booths are in the description below the video
So this is what happiness looks like... 😯
can you open this one up to change the fans? always wnated to put a Corsair High Air flow 120mm in the single booth to keep the noise down.
Hey that's a sweet booth, i was thinking of picking one up and hooking it to a similar exhaust fan and a big carbon scrubber filter canister due to the lack of windows nearby to exhaust, do you think that would be sufficient to deal with the fumes on something like lacquer?
That should work fine. I did something similar to that in my home without windows before I moved to my new place shown here. At the end off the exhaust tube I had it in a large box that was sealed too.
Did you get that paint booth and hook it to a carbon scrubber filter canister? My celler for my o gauge trainboard, 18 by 24 ft, has no windows. Help, gary j
I was actually looking at buying one of these booths, you’re awesome review has convinced me to push go ☺️👍
My GOD! I hope your insured? You have 10s of thousands worth of supplies in there. Not to mention the models you have. Wow!😮
Can I use this for powder coating small parts ?
I need something to keep the powder from going all over the garage
I don't believe this has the power to suck up the powder
