Incompetence & corruption at every level in Fulton County. From Fani Willis, Adrianne Love, Hylton, records custodian. Why public employees feel they can play these games without being accountable is beyond me

The law isn't on her side. The judge agrees she didn't follow the law re: serving subpoenas. She seriously erred in making her public records requests and often duplicates requests. Guess what? The law says duplicate requests can be ignored. The law isn't on her side. Seems to me like a phone call wld have resolved all of this, but she chose instead to file a whole burdensome lawsuit, which is exposing her ignorance of the public records law.

Mr Bond, you are a public employee. Let me help, A request comes in. You forward that request to the appropriate agency or person. They (DA) send all you all they have at some time. You receive, catalog the records and certify the process as requested and complete. Then forward the records to the requestor. Pretty Simple. Your office doesn't decide relevance, what to include or anything else. You are a compliance officer and point of contact nothing more. You are a smart man and would be well advised to simply and faithfully do your job. Look to the future young man, the feds will be visiting Fulton County in the near future and given all that has come to light regarding to DA's office you would be well advised to stay in your lane. The former employee testified that the youth gang prevention grant money was spent on swag and rebranding, which she said included everything from pens to tee shirts with Fani’s as name… and Fani fired her after she brought the misuse of funds to Fani.

Why do so many lawyers in America mispronounce the simple word “ask”?Very clear that Dexter thinks Ashley Merchant is a troublemaker and a liar and because of this judgement made, that isn’t his to make, he has breached his obligations at law fundamentally obstructing and dismissing legitimate requests.
As the offspring of three generations of lawyer two barristers one solicitor….. never in my life and I’m over 50 have I seen a lawyer behave as belligerently ( oh maybe Fani) in a court room as Mr Dexter did today? In my opinion, he doesn’t have what it takes to be in the society.

How could she possibly have asked for something she didn’t know existed? Thats all she needed to say regarding whether or not she thought the first batch was complete. And is he saying they simply give enough documents to make someone happy and not all the documents that pertain to a subject?

Still there. I edited the spelling errors I caught. No defense at all. Just a person who worked in public service as a public records specialist for many years. The public, not even attorneys, understand that when they request records, they must do so in a manner prescribed by law. Many govt agencies created portals to aid the public in making valid requests, but sometimes, they still make overly broad, unproductive requests.

    • @MrDaddy6303

@@ms.t.7319sounds like it's only the people working in these offices make everything unproductive because they feel like they are in a place of power and if they don't want someone to get something they won't let it happen.
To many people with egos and power trip
Public documents are just that so what's so hard about that fact and why can't everything be put in a central place and gave to the people asking?!
First thing, put every single thing in one place, place a number on each and every piece of paper so everyone knows how many pages are on record, redact what needs to be done, then make available everything else.
Alot less time and money wasted on this nonsense in filing, court time and frankly the publics time and money on getting the records.

All she has to do is ask him what methods he used to do his searchs for the FOIA requests.
Once he established that he didn't use one method, then she can tear into his methods as not traceable to verify he did anything?
Ask him why he chose to do a search by office or cell phone, but conveniently can't remember which method he used.
How would he know what his specific request was and when it was done if he can't even remember what method he used and has no record of his request?
