Balto - I Stand Alone

- My first Balto ONLY AMV since May 2006. Wow...and took only 3 days.
And in case anyone is wondering, this is not really a metal song. The singing style is called a cappella. I'm not a person to listen to a lot of music outside of rock and metal, but this song is to die for. I know lots of people will maybe get pissed, but screw them (or you, just in case you also think this way). I'm an AMV maker, and I do songs to whatever song I find suiting. Damn straight I do! Perhaps consider this a test to see whether you like me for my AMVs or for the music I use *low throated growl*.
I assure you, I find the signature riff from "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple sexier than any person that has ever lived.
AMV talk now. I used the original video's audio in several parts, both for emotion and story...also out of lazyness (hey, vacation isn't over yet). I was going to do it at the end too, but it sounded tacky with the wolf howl and orchestra going with the singing.
This song is very suiting for Balto. Just listen, and you'll see. 'Nuff said. This isn't one of those videos that need me to write 80 lines worth to explain things.
I would put the entire dialogue, but there is too much.

Song: I Stand Alone
Artist: Van Canto
If anyone hasn't figured this out yet, all AMVs are done for fan and self-educational purposes.
Man, you sure have been pumping out the AMVs lately. Is very delicious.
ALSO, the AMV, it was delicious as well! Mixing the movie dialogue in with the song was a fantastic idea, and really drove the point home.
this was more than awesome. it went beyond my expectations. very good.
In the sequel, her name was Aniu. The wolf in this movie may or may not be part of Balto's family if he/she even exists. Regardless, the original movie's wolf is just called "The White Wolf" without much other explanation.
This video is just breathtaking...
for all you guys wanting to know the song its I Stand Alone by Van Canto and it CAN be found on youtube. =]
i haven't seen this movie for maybe three years and i agree the song does go with balto love the amv and song choice
Really nice job. This is one of the best videos I've seen. (and according to youtube that's a couple thousand)
Balto is one of my favorite movies ever! I think It's great u put a great song in a great movie, then slapped it on UA-cam!
Oh my God, that was awesome! I especially liked the part when the female vocalist came in and you showed Jenna. Also, using the original audio makes this AMV more special. Oh, and the part with the white Wolf near the end was perfection. *melts*
This video is freakin' awsome!!! 4 those of you who don't know me, which is everyone, it is my first comment and first time on a youtube account. Seriously, Great Vid.
This is... just beautiful. Perfect choice of song. I remember it from a couple of years ago and it's just as good as I remember it.
also forgot to say...excellent vid for an excellent movie and your choice of music is perfect. great timing on the parts where the movie's dialogue and music plays along with the music. makes an interesting and still ear pleasing mix. i also like how you give each character a voice in the song. =]
Very good job on this! and you're right, this song does flow perfectly with the mood of Balto. Great song choice.
That was AWSOME!!!!!!!!! at first I thought it was going to be the Disney song but this is better. I just wish I were able to make something with clips.
I have loved this vid since I first found it a while back, I am glad I was able to find it again when I had to make a new account. This was my introduction to Van Canto and have been a fan ever since.
Oooh...I used to love this movie. ^^
It goes great with the song, Raggedstar! Like you, I almost never listen to anything but rock, but this is so good! I loved how you made the negative scene at 1:56, it just fits so well. And the song really is to die for..."I run seven miles and still I have thousands to go." Beauty it is.
I wish they had this song on Itunes...oh well. Maybe it's in the book store.
i love the music and the girl voice fits perfectly with Jenna. :)
good amv, and i usually dont like this type of song but i like this. fav + 5/5
this brought me to tears.
"...let me tell you something, Balto... A dog can not make this journey alone...but maybe, a wolf can...." quote from duck in the movie "Balto", lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
GREAT! Video and song fit together perfectly
I was expecting the rock version... but I was not at all dissapointed..... Good Job
Amazing as always!
i love this song and the girl voice fits Jenna perfectly in.
I love it. I even went to Itunes to go buy the song. They don't have it I was so disapointed. Great vid though
What ever happened to the movies like Balto? :( Good job dude ^^ Its amazingly perfect ^^
I have never heard this before but I love it.
Wow, i start to cry, good song and video!
Thank you very much. And you should see Balto. Great movie, yet underappreciated.
I don't have many Van Canto songs, and they aren't easy to edit with. A capella is hard to visualize for a lot of videos (if that makes sense).
One of the best
at first i thought that this was the one by godsmack, but this one it BETTER!!
It is?
The last time I went on there, Itunes didn't have it...I'll check again. Thanks. ^^
awesome cant stop watching
Er, the band's name is shown in the video, the description, and the copyright notice. 3 places.
And no, there isn't a version without the woman. It's all one band with 5 singers and a drummer.
dude i like you for both man you did great i love the video man
I'm not very sure where you found the acapella version of this song but it sure out rocks the original, especially for Balto. Have you ever thought of doing something with it or something similar with Wolf's Rain? (I see that you, as I, have a wolf thing going...)
This was very very well done +10!!!
hey, I love this song!!!!! whats this with "eeeww a cappella" veeeerrrryy nice vid. i love it!!!
Never heard of DarkHalo, but the song is called "Cure For The Itch" by Linkin Park.
...because it was the intro I used in all of my AMVs. I don't only use Balto in my videos.
Van Canto is just the band's name, not the person's name. There are 6 members and they are all from Germany, I believe. It's all on Wiki.
i love BALTO UR AWSOME
Mwha, looks like I tripped up a few people with the title. I was going to call it something else, but I wanted to see what would happen.
It's interesting that you say the thing about timing being "easier" on a faster video. Except for a few parts, I find it easier on slower ones. If you're off by a few fractions of a second (like I was), it's not as critical.
And thanks about the comment about the audio. I thought some people would find it useless.
I love this song! You must tell me where to find it!! lol. but seriously, where did you get this song!?
You mean the 4th clip in the intro?
That was Moro from Princess Mononoke.
love this video
I Love Your AMV :)
Van Canto.
I always list the artist and the song name in both the credits and the video description.
I currently use DVD Decrypter and VirtualDub. I don't understand what you said in the second part.
*points to video description and video credits*
Van Canto
Pfft, and they say companies don't make a dime due to AMV makers *advertises*. I don't feel so alone anymore since now you have the DVD too lol. I thought I was the only one on UA-cam that did.
I only have 2, but they're from the same album (well, they only have 1 album). Do you want them both?
I edited out the howling scene at the end and replaced it with the scene just before it. If I made it longer, you would see the auroras at the end morph into a wolf and then howl.
Thanks!
wonderful
It says inh the video ending credits and description. Van Canto.
I listed it in both the video credits and description. It's called "I Stand Alone" and it's by Van Canto.
It says in the description and credits.
loved it
Who maked this song.... LOVE IT:DDD
Cool video to;)
*shrugs* There are a lot of songs with that title. There is a Godsmack song by that title too.
very good video. how come all the good songs you use are never on itunes?
I love the song. :)
i want to watch this movie now....
I don't think you really get the point of my AMVs. Outside of remakes, I don't repeat songs. I do it to whatever fits best. When it goes in my head, it only fits ONE video and I will always associate (in regards to my AMVs) the song to that subject. I hope that makes sense.
I think they're asking if you'll do something with this song with Wolf's Rain...
whats whit wolfs rain and ginga naberoshi gin and all dogs go to heaven in the intro
do you have to download videos seperately to make stuff like this or can you put it on your computer from a dvd?
Not sure, but the band is from Germany.
*blinks* There isn't a different version (as far as I know at least). It has nothing to do with Godsmack's song, in case you're thinking that. There are a few songs called "I Stand Alone".
And I don't understand the second part of your post (about doing something with Wolf's Rain).
Oh, thought you were going to use "I Stand Alone" from the movie Quest For Camelot :/
Awsome
Hmm? There is a Disney song with that title?
You download it. Look it up with google.
I got it from a friend. He sent me a few Van Canto songs.
Oh! I recognize it now
It sounded like DarkHalo so i got a bit confused
Van Canto. I list the artist in the description and ending credits.
I always say in the credits and description (and in explaining this, a few comments ago).
I don't have it anymore.
cool
Dunno. I got it on DVD.
The opening song is from DarkHalo, isnt it?
aww man- they dont have it!? thats a downer!
Friend sent it to me.
And so I won't have to send you two messages, when the hell did you get Silverwing? Lol
