They had to reschedule for the next weekend because Mel Schacher, the bass played was unable to play because he was too hammered. They showed up the the gig the next weekend and proceeded to kick ass, opening with "Footstompin' Music" off "E Pluribus Funk" which had not yet been released. A great interview with a great guitarist, songwriter, and all around good human being. The Beverly Hills Hotel story has a great outro for the interview. Mahalo! 😎🤙

"I'm Your Captain" is my personal favorite simply because it directly relates to my life right now, I had to stop sailing around the world due to a cancer diagnosis this summer. "Corporate" rock was the label given to AOR/stadium rock bands of the 70's. Personally I believe in finding the good art of every era and not buying into gross generalizations.
