Sister Nana Aba, there is a popular restaurant in Tema called agba maami, it was one of my favourite places to eat. I always look forward to going there when I go to Ghana and then I tried your recipe yesterday. It tasted just like agba maami . I paired it with okra and soft banku. Delicious 😋
Love her voice! She’s so articulate and soothing.

Best spoken of all Ghanaian food bloggers.
Look beautiful and delicious, you can also use garden eggs to thicken the soup
Hello Nana Aba, 2 days ago I made this recipe for my family with cassava and plantain fufu and it was so gooooooood. Today, I ate boiled ripe plantain with some of the leftover soup and it tasted even better! Thank you dear. Trying the goat light soup this weekend.

This way of making soup is new to me and I can't wait to try it. It looks very good. I never knew you could start soup by frying onions. Adding corn starch is also new to me. Well done 👏
Yes, me too. I'm learning something newn
AH, did you grow in Ghana? If you did then you have not lived with ewes before. This is how they make the Akpa soup
Perfect soup I have learnt a new technique ,you are doing well and continue to inspire is to cook good recipes for our good health. God bless you all the time and may he gives you the needed strength and health to be on the show all the time
Great recipe. Thanks for sharing! An alternate for the thickner could be garden eggs or eggplants or more veggies.
Would you blend the garden eggs and put it in at the time she put the corn starch in or when would you put it in? Also, how many garden eggs would you use?
One word.......Awesome, Amazing, looks delish. Oh did I say one word ? Nana, you are the best.
Thank you Obaa Yaa 🙏🏿😘😘😘
You are so articulate 😍😍and I love how neat you are👌
Great job, you nailed it, I thought like others you weren't going to add the thickening agent ...glad you did👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 . You can also mix corn flour with water, allow the corn flour to settle at the bottom and pour just the water into the stew instead of the hot water.
Nana Aba we in Ghana use garden eggs as thickeners for our soup. You could try eggplant or aubergine if you're not in Ghana. Please let me know how that works out. Thanks. I really LOVE your channel.
Thank you Dorothy! I appreciate your constructive feedback 🙏🏾💕

Kobla, can you believe it If I tell you, I learned this recipe from a Togolese sister from my place of worship! Her name is Sister Ajowle🥰 you’re right on Bro! Thank you 🥰
Nanaaba's Kitchen oh really , waaaw I believe u and that's a good meal . And in Togo they got a huge river located at the center of the city , in an area called le-togo and that's where they get all their fine tilapia and it look soo beautiful at the very heart of the city and is amazing what they can do with tilapia and the taste , super , and the banku soo soft they call it akumeh . Good stuff . Someday when u go home try and flash by , it's a nice place to visit and trust me u will love it , life there is totally different, though we share border but when u enter into that city, trust me it seems like u far away on a different planet .

Great recipe! I am happy to join your channel. I am a big fan. The soup looks really good. I love anything that is seafood. I love your video you explain everything in detail that is awesome! In Gambia where am from we call it boil stew almost like Peppeh soup but a little thinker. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for joining Nanaaba’s Kitchen and a warm welcome to you! I really love the similarities in our cuisines! So what is a popular Gambian dish that one must try? Just curious 😘
@@NanaabasKitchen you are welcome! Well in Gambia the most popular dish is called Benachin which some will say jollof. The original name for jollof rice is Benachin with lots of vegetables which originated from Senegal the passed by to Gambia. Benachin/ jollof can be made red with the tomatoes or white without the tomatoes. White benachin or red benachin. Then it began spreading all over to different cultures. We have plenty other popular dish, like peanut butter soup some will call it Domoda, groundnut soup. And also Okra soup with fufu the Creo in Gambia as they will call them the Aku started the Okra soup. In Gambia West Africa is small, but has different cultures with a lot of different dishes. Which i will be sharing too. We also do the puff puff which we call Beignets. But am sure as we all Africans the there is so much similarities like you said. Thanks for writing back. I will definitely keep watching and stay connected.

excellent recipe !!
Now I’m looking forward to opening my mailbox everyday hoping for a new surprise....... You did it again ! Please , Where can I find petite bell peppers?
Thank you Voilet 😘🙏🏾 If you’re in the diaspora, I’ll so I just an African market specifically Ghanaian. I must say pettie bell chilies are very scarce in the diaspora. They are however similar to habanero‘s and scotch bonnets so you may substitute with either of those.
Thanks dear really appreciate it
I thank you too😘😘😘
God that looks good!
My favourite 😋
Nanaaba, thanks for the recipe. Getting the ingredients is my problem. In Ghana, is sometimes difficult. Any other alternatives? Thanks
Which specific ingredients are you having difficulty finding?
Nanaaba, probably it may be that I don't know their Akan names.
Cloves, fennel seed, sauerkraut you used in preparing the cauliflower banku among others.
If I may know their Akan names, probably it will help. Thanks. Merry Christmas and a happy new year
I hear you dear Abigail🙏🏾 cloves is p3pr3 in twi, while fennel seeds are similar to aniseed known as nkitinkiti, sauerkraut is fermented cabbage and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a local Ghanaian name for it. I’ll be sure to mention the local names of ingredients I use in my recipes. Thank you 🙏🏾❤️
First of all I love your haircut ❤
Thank you my dear😘😘😘
