- the 4 seconds of hesitation in VATS view
- the ballsy-ass full send that immediately follows
- the guy getting shot directly through the cranium and promptly turning around to see who shot him
- the pause before realizing the revolver is empty, and the way he so casually reloads
- the foreboding whistle of the mini-nuke slowly flying towards him from out of frame while he so casually reloads
- the mini-nuke flying through his f*cking shoulder like he isn't even there
- the flabbergasted attempt to process the whole thing afterwards

There's so much good luck in this like 25 second combat sequence. Even his positioning is lucky, if he was at a slightly different angle or there was a higher wall behind him the nuke still would've killed him.

You're not invincible while in VATS, it only increases your damage resistance and even then, not by a whole lot.

On a low level Survival character, I always use that to my advantage.
I tested it out quite alot.
While aiming in vats, you're unprotected, but during the shooting sequence, you can't be harmed

Fun Fact: even IF the nuke hit him, VATS gives you a whopping 90% damage reduction during the firing sequence. That’s better than any power armor you could ever find, and all you need to do is press Q and m1.

Blade Vamp not in fallout 4. Everything is slow mo unlike fallout 3 or new Vegas where time stops. You can still take damage in vats.

In any fallout game, u can take damage during VATS. The only difference is that in fo3 and fonv, u can't take any damage during the targeting phase as it freezes time until u initiate it.

Other than the mini nuke clipping through you this entire this is so perfect and absolutely a bethesda game. The way your first shot misses, the way the camera just dramatically zooms in and out in vats as you do nothing and then eventually reload, the way you hear the nuke coming at you as it whistles across the sky, and then the best part when you get enough time to turn around and see the nuke go off. Absolutely flawless.

My character set up. Very accurate gun with lots of luck and legendary that gives vats more accuracy. I also do more stamina once my level is higher… To think my Gun would ever hit that bomb in time was truly foolish.
Conclusion: super mutant suiceders are from the matrix but the download for dodging bullets was disconnected to soon and it only affected there arm

@@simonsoupshark8009 ah... You know that trick too... Yeah, for anyone else reading this VATS will center your aim on a target with pretty much perfect accuracy. So you aim at a part with vats... And exit vats, then shoot the target. No ap spent, usually perfect accuracy.
Then you switch back to your primary. Or you switch to your melee.

In his defense, a mini nuke explosion at that distance apart from each other would've killed both of them. The bad guy was screwed either way.
