Vanilla ice cream: 1 to 1.5 cups of plant milk, half a cup of okara or white sweet potato , 5-7 medjoul dates and 2 tsp vanilla extract . Mint ice cream: cup of thawed peas, half a cup of blended pears, half tsp peppermint extract, cup of plant milk.
Hi Jeremy, I'm so happy for you and your family! I know you will love your Creami. YES, it's loud. I actually keep mine in another room and just take my pint to it and leave the room - LOL
Kathy sure does have the magic! I’ve been watching her since I saw her with Julie Hasson talking about the ninja. I finally got one just last week from Walmart, the original for 149!!
I was one of those that had to follow a recipe to the “T” until I watched lots of both of these channels. They gave me the confidence to experiment. My husband is impressed. He’s the type that considers recipes as suggestions.
Love it!! I used to be that way too - we can thank Woolie for pulling my head out of my rear end :) Recipes ARE suggestions. Anything in life is a suggestion. You do you :)
Mint Chocolate Chip is my all-time favorite, I am so happy for this video because I for one will never pay the outrageous price for dairy-free ice cream.
When I make my mint nice cream .... I also add a big handful of fresh mint from the garden and then only half the mint extract - for a true mint flavor
Loved the interview. Kathy is always such a joy to watch. Just spun my first plata ice cream and it was the best base I tried so far. It‘s so creamy. I thought a silken tofu base was as good as it gets, but this is even better. 😋 I see a lot of home made soy milk in my future 😂 So now I didn‘t have a choice but to order the new book. 😂
Just bought my first ninja cream. Have a simple protein/almond milk and a frappe mix in the freezer. I want it for plant based protein products to fit with losing and maintaining weight.
I use a fine muslin nut milk bag to strain my soymilk. I gotta go to Kathy's website to find out how to use the okara for something besides my veg burgers and soysauge!
I tried the mint ice cream (with peas). My whole family tasted nothing but peas (I didn’t tell them there were peas in the ice cream). No one would eat it. I had really hoped it would work and wonder if I did something wrong, as usually we really like Kathy’s recipes.
@@pbwithjeremy I tried to answer before, so sorry if you see this twice. Peas were the frozen ones from costco. (I thawed them and blended everything in vitamix before putting in container to freeze). The Ice cream tasted very strongly of peas. No one ate it.
First off i was really excited to watch this today, I love your channel and your family.Your videos are informative and entertaining. My head may explode if i have to watch anymore of this one. She needs to get to the point.
I had the machine but returned it, I was having a very difficult time finding good recipes with Almond milk and WFBP. Can you help. Maybe I can buy it again if I could get help with better almond milk recipes or anything you can suggest
Curious to know if Kathy pays attention to the max line on the Beast or the recommended liquid requirements? Or does it depend on what you're mixing? 😂
So the way the ninja creamy works, is every time you take it out from the freezer you need to spin it? I was thinking to get it to make healthy ice cream for my grandson but if I bring them a pin of ice cream and they do not have the machine they are not able to eat it straight from the freezer? Am I understanding correctly?
Hi what if I can't find the beast? Do you need to have the beast before you buy the the Ninja the Ninja creamer? What would I use if I can't find the beast?????? I watched the whole video and it seems really hard to understand how to make ice cream😢
You definitely don’t need the Beast. It’s helpful to have a way to blend the ingredients before you freeze them (which is all the Beast is doing) but most people already have a blender or food processor that will do that. Once it’s blended, you put it in the Ninja Creami container for 24 hours then use the Ninja Creami on it. (Obviously there are more details, like what settings to use, but she covers all that and it comes with instructions.)
I don’t want to be mean but ever WFPB channel I follow have been given (or occasionally buy) a ice cream maker to review or to gush at length about. I know livings are to be made. But so sorry, as I love you guys, but I’m not watching todays show. X
Appreciate that - I was just trying to help and promote a friend's upcoming book. Totally understand if you're not interested. Lots to enjoy on the channel :)
@@julieowens7095 yes please, that’s very kind. If the Essletyns can cook without a multitude of gadgets anyone can. I am just a tad disappointed that products are pushed, great for the manufacturers, targeting ‘like minded people ‘ rather than random scattergun advertising, I can’t live without my ice cream maker is one comment I have heard, honestly!!!

I wonder if tofu would work instead of okara ?
@@rainnyt7803 i think it would. I have seen another WFPB you-tuber use tofu to increase her protein. She uses mango or pineapple and adds the tofu.
Thanks!
Thanks for typing this up for others!
Thanks for posting the recipes… I’ve got to try both of these!!! 😊
I love Kathy Hester! She's my girl 💜 Always watch her and learn from her

Great deal!
Two of my favourite WFPB folks together, yay! I also bit the bullet and bought a Ninja Creami after watching Kathy's Creami adventures.
SAME!
Thanks!
Oh wow - thank you Robin!!!
I enjoyed this video and learning more about the Ninja Creami. You two are enjoyable to watch together. Kathy is such a sweetheart!

Hilarious video! Just thought I would mention that a fork works better on the mound than a spoon.
Smart. Thanks!!!

YES - if I had fresh mint on me I would have far preferred that - next time I will.

Found the strainer/pitcher on Amazon- Multiple Use Food Strainer, Nut Milk Bag Replacement, Yogurt Strainer, Food Grade…

A couple of weeks late I know but Coles here in Australia always sells canned pears (unsweetened).
You could try labeling with sharpie and cleaning it off with hand sanitizer. It works on lots of other things.
Thanks for the tip
Jeremy - are you going to post a video of your family testing the ice creams!!?? 😀
Oh - it's looooong gone. But we're planning to do a creami video at some point!

Dole whip?
Are you asking for a dole whip recipe?

Kathy has a book in the link in the description that might help you - I'm jut starting to play with ours!

You could DM her on IG
That's a hard no - lol!
Can u put the beast in dishwasher where u can’t put the vitamix blender in it??
Not sure about this.... Kathy?.....
Yes you can, but it rinses out pretty easily.
Would aquafaba work? It can be whipped to make a nice “cream”
I've frozen light over aquafaba whip - I should try this! Thanks for the idea
Can I buy okara?
I think you can buy it as a powder
But don't use the powder in my recipes - it doesn't work.
What can you use instead of peas? I am allergic
you could likely use silken tofu or okara for the bulk and then you'd need to color it somehow - natural mint might help
