      I wonder if tofu would work instead of okara ?

    • @Amelia-qm6bk
      @Amelia-qm6bk 5 місяців тому +5

      @@rainnyt7803 i think it would. I have seen another WFPB you-tuber use tofu to increase her protein. She uses mango or pineapple and adds the tofu.

    Kathy sure does have the magic! I’ve been watching her since I saw her with Julie Hasson talking about the ninja. I finally got one just last week from Walmart, the original for 149!!

    I was one of those that had to follow a recipe to the “T” until I watched lots of both of these channels. They gave me the confidence to experiment. My husband is impressed. He’s the type that considers recipes as suggestions.

    When I make my mint nice cream .... I also add a big handful of fresh mint from the garden and then only half the mint extract - for a true mint flavor

    Loved the interview. Kathy is always such a joy to watch. Just spun my first plata ice cream and it was the best base I tried so far. It‘s so creamy. I thought a silken tofu base was as good as it gets, but this is even better. 😋 I see a lot of home made soy milk in my future 😂
    So now I didn‘t have a choice but to order the new book. 😂

    I tried the mint ice cream (with peas). My whole family tasted nothing but peas (I didn’t tell them there were peas in the ice cream). No one would eat it. I had really hoped it would work and wonder if I did something wrong, as usually we really like Kathy’s recipes.

      you could likely use silken tofu or okara for the bulk and then you'd need to color it somehow - natural mint might help

    So the way the ninja creamy works, is every time you take it out from the freezer you need to spin it? I was thinking to get it to make healthy ice cream for my grandson but if I bring them a pin of ice cream and they do not have the machine they are not able to eat it straight from the freezer? Am I understanding correctly?

  • @lyndasimpson4085

    Hi what if I can't find the beast? Do you need to have the beast before you buy the the Ninja the Ninja creamer? What would I use if I can't find the beast?????? I watched the whole video and it seems really hard to understand how to make ice cream😢

    • @StacyColeGA
      @StacyColeGA 5 місяців тому +1

      You definitely don’t need the Beast. It’s helpful to have a way to blend the ingredients before you freeze them (which is all the Beast is doing) but most people already have a blender or food processor that will do that. Once it’s blended, you put it in the Ninja Creami container for 24 hours then use the Ninja Creami on it. (Obviously there are more details, like what settings to use, but she covers all that and it comes with instructions.)
