    I read recently, “No one looks up on a clear night and says - What a wonderful and mighty person am I!”

    Cant get enough of Tim Mackie. I also like other preachers but I easily get tired hearing. Tim is different. I can continuously listen to him for hours without getting tired.

      I think it’s the teachings he is delivering to us that is transforming us inside. In Christ Jesus. We get a historical perspective on who, when and where of the messages.

      He is not preaching. He is teaching. There's a difference between the two.

    Oh my goodness! I surrendered my life to God one night under the starry sky. God heard my plead for mercy and immedietly changed my life around.

    Tim, I have shared some of the holiness of sleeping under the stars. And most specifically I have had a moment, that was a life changer. My girlfriend and I in 2014 hiked the Wonderland Trail on Mt Rainier. Near Devil's Lake I was late getting to camp, I was in the dark, I had lost my headlamp. Instead, of sitting down and waiting for daylight, I continued to walk cautiously and walked off trail. I took 12 steps across a rock berm and then was pushed or fell into a pool of water. Sitting there I was able to flash a 20 second lamp light to see nothing before me. I was rescued by the Lord.
    In our world today we call this a PTSD experience and think we will get over it. I have sought godly biblical counseling and have reached more understanding. But I am most effected in the middle of worship time in our church services. Thank you for presenting this lesson for me to understand that I will always be trembling and crying when reminded of this night. Forever changed. Praise the LORD MOST HIGH!!!!!

    I have fairly extensively studied the subject, and there are whole swathes of reality to the ideas of holiness that I feel are so important and can act as keys to open great deals of our Bibles. In a more ideal world I would have loved you to have touched upon them. Perhaps as a meaningful into to it I would encourage you to watch David Pawson's teachings on Leviticus.

    I've been wondering if Moses had to take his shoes off because they were made of leather - dead flesh that was not supposed to be brought into God's presence.

      What about his clothes? I'm assuming it wasn't plant based, but it is a interesting idea.

    • @dw5523
      @dw5523 3 роки тому

      @@jonathanesayiasberhe3222 probably right - however wool isn't dead flesh. In the law, touching dead flesh meant corruption and a need for ritual cleansing through washing and sacrifice, but there was no such law against wearing wool clothing, so I think there was a distinction between the two.

    I believe God has Moses take his sandals off because God made the mountain and God made Moses's feet, but the sandals were man made, therefore, not holy. That makes more sense.

    In 32:54 he said those things are in the Israelite Imagination a symbol of death and decay. So wait a minute, are these rules given by God or was it just their imagination?

    Im a suicidal that keeps looking for reasons to leave, the thoughts come to my mind and I start too argue with myself why I can't kill myself, but for impulse I almost killed myself once and I fear that by impulse or not I might do it again...

    @25:00 you express the opinion that God told Moses to take off his shoes because they were dirty, and this was 'holy ground'... and I think that's wrong. I think God wanted to electrically ground Moses with his bare feet on the soil to help minimize the 'overwhelm' of speaking with Him. Bare feet ground you electrically. God's presence is powerful. Seems like a better fit for motive than tidyness in the wilderness. Thank you love you peace

      Tracy Marlow God doesnt need to worry about things like electrical charge. If he wants to appear to Moses through a bush on fire but not being consumed by flame, he can also dispel any electrical charge worry that may exist.

      I think it was to be a physical sign to Moses that he is going to commune with an utterly unique being. Much like (by God's instructions) having cherubim flanking the ark... it's not to make God feel godly, but to help us grasp the holiness of God.
