I am a young pastor in California and Tim's teaching has allowed me to grow so much I can hardly explain in words how much his insight is able to spread the gospel to all who who have ears. The Bible Project is so necessary in today's world.
I have no inclination to move to Portland. BUT, I do wish, well, pray, that the church I attend and am a member of will catch some of the same fire for our community Tim, and the bible, is teaching here. My burden/desire is to show people who God is. I love being taught God's word and sharing what I've learned and being a Christian, an "ambassador of Christ".
Really blessed by this series of teachings. Funny because because it's kind of a confirmation of my vision of how a church community should be and not the traditional religious upbringing. Thank you Pastor Tim.
These videos have been so incredibly helpful in allowing me to grasp the overall picture of the Bible. I only recently chose to follow Christ after being exposed to bits and pieces of scriptures throughout my childhood. I have been working on actually reading the Bible for the first time, and I am continually amazed at how it really is an epic narrative written by so many different authors over such a long period of time. Only a higher power could possibly have made such a work be so cohesive and stand the test of time. Thank you so much for sharing your perspective, insight, and knowledge. Becky Massey Sister Becky you are living proof of the Word even so. *Isaiah 28;13* "13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken." That's the way the message of the Word is distributed by false teachers, doctrines, and those of the synagogue of Satan etc. in order to keep God's people in the dark. I'm very happy and with joy you found the Word and are seeing it for the glory and truth it is of the proof of our Lord Christ Jesus. Proverbs 25; 2 "2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." Isaiah 28; 9-12 "9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear." But I share a key, that the things hidden in scripture and in our lives will be precept upon precept, and here a little or there a little. The land of milk and honey given for us to wean from, and suckle at the sweetness of the Word, even if bitter in our stomachs, after digesting will make us full on his love. Amen.
you should look into the walk through the bible ministry. they make you get up and do an overview of the new testament and old testament with gestures. it is a great way to remember the whole bible with movement.
Inspiring explanation of God's unique gift of koinonia for each us. Extraordinary definition of His "Grace" --- Tim: you are an enlightening Rabbi for our generation. Praises to God :)
Tim has moved on from being a pastor at Door of Hope. He devotes himself full time to the Bible Project and is a professor at Western Seminary in Portland.

Nico A a blessing to you on your journey in the Word. I recently visited the Rock in Anaheim and I'm happy you're taking on courses to learn a deeper side in the Lord. But take a break and thirst not of the college of men; remember to drink of Christ's water of life and enjoy.
