    At 1:00:00 I think that's like the first time I've ever heard that.I've always lived my life thinking wow im terrible God should just take my life now.Guilt overtook me and my heart is at constant war.Whether if God really loves me or not.If he actually forgives me or not.Doubt comes like a storm on a peaceful day for me.And all of a sudden im filled with fear and doubt of my life and future in following Christ.At one point I even asked if any of it was worth it.God doesn't hate me,He loves me and whatever guilt or shame I carry I bring it to Christ and have faith that he will make me new.

      I have had and do have very similar feelings and thoughts...I have scars from sin and tons of guilt and feelings of shame and worthlessness even though I do feel like I have been forgiven by Jesus...you are not alone
      This video and it’s message also lifted my spirits as it seems to have lifted yours

      Me too! Such an unworthy sinful life I led before Jesus snatched me out of it.. and I still felt so unworthy after. And felt like I had to beat myself up to 1) earn His love? make sure He knew I realized what a mess I had been? and 2) to make myself feel bad so I wouldn't return to that kind of life (like a dog returns to his vomit!) I finally realized a few years ago that I had to accept God at His word.. He said He totally forgave me, Jesus paid for it all in full, and my paltry attempts to pay for it myself were just ridiculous. I finally chose to accept God at His word that I was totally forgiven no matter how I felt. Period. Take that satan! And God has continued to heal me and move in my life in such healthy powerful ways. Take away our unbelief.. Thank you Lord Jesus!

      When you here that voice know it dosnt come from JESUS.It comes from the other guy. I always imagine all of my troubles beeing put in a large king size sheet. I tie it up in a bundle.I take it to GODS THROAN ROOM and Iput it at his feet, and say LORD I cant deal with this its too big for me . I need you to sort it out for me . And I pray and give him all the glory and I walk away. Sraight away I feel all of that pressure going from me.

    These teachings from Tim are so amazing! How superficial and lightly have we read and considered the Gospel of Mark. So much depth and spiritual truths , and yet we have overlooked the essence .I am learning to read the Bible in an entirely different way. Yes,this scene IS the fulfillment of Isaiah 40!

      But for the record I never agree with punishing the innocent for the guilty's crimes

    • @Amanda-cd6dm
      @Amanda-cd6dm Рік тому +1

      And I do not think that is good teaching. If it was surely our court systems, parental teachings, school teachings, etc would punish the innocent while the guilty are pardoned. When I think of someone committing heinous crimes like let's say serial killer murders I do not imagine that Charles Manson should be pardoned while the Pope takes his punishment because if the Pope takes his punishment then Charles Manson is going to be out cutting another baby out of a pregnant woman just imagine if I went into a courtroom and told the judge your honor I am guilty I did this heinous crime on purpose I have no remorse about it but instead of punishing me how about you pardon me and then punish this innocent person even though they have me swear on a Bible do you think that's going to fly? How about you Forbes what do you think?

    • @Amanda-cd6dm
      @Amanda-cd6dm Рік тому

      And you say who are you to question God? God said spare the rod spoil the child that's exactly what Jesus is teaching you to spare the rod and spoil the child

    about Job part 45:30

    but he got to know and see and love the real GOD
    only at the end of the book.

    I believe the reason he forgives first because Jesus realises that being forgiven is all the parrolised man only truly needs to be forgiven. But to be healed would be a welcome plus. But the man would be at peace to be just forgiven. But would be very thankful to be healed.

    I am 66 years old and have not explored the Bible since I was a kid. That is loooooooooooong ago! Tim has energized me to study the Bible, although I think Tim ignores all the many contradictions, the violence and horror, the homophobia and anti-woman sentiments put into God's mouth. But perhaps Tim's goal is to point out the major storyline and the key learnings, while leaving out all the awful bits. I am going to supplement Tim with actual non-believer Biblical historical scholarship, since Tim is obviously entranced by the Bible story and believes every word.

    • @soundlycreative
      @soundlycreative 3 роки тому +1

      @@datipodaspear7745 it’s me. I have been growing in my relationship with God with fresh understanding of Yehoshua (YHWY my redeemer). The name “Jesus” has been separated from God in our translations...At least this is how I feel.
      I know God is not a respecter of persons, and loves those that love Him, no matter what name they call him.
      The scriptures are so amazing though, i have loved learning the original Hebrew or Greek.

    Tim - with all due respect I think you should reconsider what Leviticus is saying in regards to animal sacrifice. Some of what you stated is demonstrably incorrect.
    Additionally - if what you are saying is true David would have done that after Bathsheba. (Buy an animal stand in line slaughter on the altar) But he didn’t. He asked God for forgiveness.
