Bono (as if he'd read this), Love your heart. I remember the first illegal free concert on top of the liquor store on Seventh and Main St. amidst the drunks and homeless in Los Angeles. That concert brought the term "Homeless" into the public vernacular and mindset. We were there, then, and we are still there today. Would love to see you hold another concert in LA for homelessness. LA is very sympathetic and supportive of resolving homelessness and relieving suffering. You were part of the start of the movement, especially the worldwide awareness of this element of suffering in the world. Thanks

I like being invited to be "untrapped", because I am a believer, a musician (singer) and a composer. I was taught by my Mom when I was little to memorise some Psalms and New Testament passages, but as an an adult I find the Psalms difficult. I realise that Thanks and Praise are the most present themes in Psalms, yet it's been a foggy and unclear read for me. It's very, very, hard to understand that I can feel inside me, yet I can't get The Word at times..... So thank you for suggesting starting at Psalm 82. Will do. Thank You.....

I’m so grateful
My Son was born in 2007 and all of 2006 and 2007 I was looking for life verses for him. Psalm 82 was one of the first ones I was lead to and labeled it “Be A Hero” and “God’s Champion”. The verse is about God. Some would say it’s not for us. But not Jesus. Jesus told us to be Holy for our Father in Heaven is Holy. That is an imperial command by the LORD of Lords Himself to imitate the character of God, which we see in Psalm 82. This verse is for us to do and don’t let anyone tell you different. I already liked Bono as a musician and artist that is a Christian. But now he has impressed me big time with Ps82. My channel name is for Psalm 117 and I have an inactive one I am working on for Psalm 82. Great video!

Bono’s earnest plea for artists to unlock is a good one, reading the Bible is essential. People need to understand something that is not communicated very well by this video. The reason everyone learns Psalms, at least historically, is the language, not the intention, but the construction of the words. Befriending an orphan and caring for the needy, may be something some people take to heart as a command, but it’s just pure language, it describes the action of Two people together. It shows two people. And, It shows two people together. Which is just the action of anything in society. The point of it, for anyone, because it has nothing to do with religion, is that it is a depiction of Two people together, establishing the science of a relationship, like any action does between objects. Once you see the depiction, you understand the relationship between objects. Then you can consider whether you are the religious type or not. Reading the Bible, in essence, is just looking at a lot of pictures of scientific experiments, the author juxtaposing one object with another, and then colliding them. That’s all the Bible is, because it’s poetry, the absence of meaning, the presence of things- art. The Christian responds, Jesus means a lot to me. And I say, that’s because as a Christian he’s in front of you. The Jewish man says, the Law means a lot to me. And I say, that’s because you spend your Sabbaths not in the synagogue [which would be a meaningful sabbath, a day devoted to prayer*], but at home where instead the mezuzot is on the doorframe [the presence of a thing* the Sabbath is a day devoted to rest**]. But consider this. What about a book that said the opposite, Harming an orphan, and discarding the needy, it would be presenting two people. But it would not be presenting them together. Therein lies the moral sense, the kind of thing Bono is getting into in the video. I think the moral sense, is a reading, for a philosopher, and the reading I like, of not going that deep, is for an education. The philosopher is seeking guidance, but the one who seeks an education just wants to learn some terms. The reason I read the Bible, was to learn the science, and the philosophy, may have touched my heart, at some time, but I see it from the field where I work, not from the pew. I have spent little time in pews over the years, for I am always in the field. The pew, is useful, for those who consider God, to not remove themselves from work, but as someone in the field, work must be far from me. If it wasn’t just terms in my mind, I would be incapable of work. The religious faithful who go to church, don’t do the work of the church, so they don’t have to be smith with the terms, which is not possible if they are imbued with the sense of the pews, which is penitent faith. For to read the Psalms, and adopt the moral of the story, is to read without allowing yourself to interpret the words. This is not a useful reading, for the church to do its work. For they must, write the words that fill the church every week. Marble looks great in a building, but that is not what the mason is thinking as he works, he is judging where to lay it, not experiencing the pleasure of looking at it. The church is a house of worship, where you pray, but to support prayer, is the science of the world all around you, the world and society that made the church available to you, by building it, using masons, carpenters, and planners, brick by brick. The Psalms are the experiments that determine the construction, so that the Temple may be well-built, not as a shanty, but as a well-constructed building, like the convoluted designs of a city skyscraper, because the principles of construction are not moral, for the carpenters, masons, and planners, but structural, with endless details and considerations. The Bible like scientific literature is a design scheme, for when Einstein suggests energy and mass are related, we build bombs and reactors, just as when Moses suggests God is one, we worship one God, through one church, and make the church a single undivided thing, and when Einstein suggests energy is expressed as quanta, we build electron microscopes to study the subatomic world, just as when Jesus says Love one another, we build hospitals, and fund charitable organizations, that we be in service of each other as a people who not only live together, but come together.
When we arrived upon planet earth we were and are bound by a set of principle laws and values bestowed upon us by the creator father God.
#1 we are here to take care of t h e down trodden, the widows orphans elderly and disabled.
When we step out of line from these things it can only create chaos.

Psalm 82 - a psalm quoted by Jesus in John 10 as Jews were about to stone him. In referencing psalm 82 Jesus drew a contrast between the injustice of the Jews who were about to stone him, and the unjust “gods” (human rulers) of psalm 82 who instead of defending the cause of the weak and powerless, defended the unjust and showed partiality to the wicked. They were rulers who knew nothing and walked in darkness. The Lord will judge all the earth, because he is a God of justice, the only God.
This opinion has nothing to do with their conversation: I think that we can be oppressed by our own thoughts, evil thoughts and demons as well so king David asks God to deliver us from those "wicked". David played his psalter to a king who couldn't sleep...and he slept...
