Meal Prepping with the WHOLE FAMILY

- Broccoli Salad -
tons of broccoli (chopped)
bacon crumbles
chunks of cheddar cheese
red onion finely chopped
sunflower seeds
the dressing... equal parts mayonnaise and Greek yogurt. Add sweetener to taste and a pinch of salt.
Parmesan Tilapia -
3 pounds fish
melted butter on top
season with black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt
the paste... just under 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon dill.
Broil fish 3 minutes, turn fish over and smear with the paste... broil another 4-5 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
Vegetarian Casserole -
2 cups brown rice
one can corn
one can black beans rinsed/drained
1 cup sour cream
1 cup salsa
1 cup cheese
1 can tomatoes with peppers (rotel)
Bake in 9x13 pan with another cup of cheese on top and green onions at 350 degrees for 50 min.
Deconstructed Stuffed Peppers -
4 pounds ground beef
3 12 ounce bags cauliflower rice
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons black pepper
6 green peppers chopped
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 14 oz. jars of pizza sauce
16 ounces cheese
Cook beef... add cauliflower rice and cook until soft... add sauces and spices... add peppers and cook until soft... add tomatoes and pizza sauce... top with cheese!

Hi Sarah, I'm loving how your kids are involved with the meal prepping. Besides learning how to cook, you all are making some great memories. I remember getting kids involved with dinner making. Now that they are grown I miss that so much. Easter I cooked a big dinner and fixed take and go plates. They all came by and got a homemade turkey and dressing, fried cabbage, and mashed potato dinner with rolls and 7up cake for dessert. To see their reaction with all the food was my happy place since we couldnt all be in the same place at once. So watching you all brings me joy. Blessings to you all.

Love watching you all cook and work together. Never cooked for 11, but I do remember cooking for a family. No fun cooking for 3 old ladies. Big families are great, wanted a dozen, God sent 3. Loved my years raising my kids, hectic, tiring, one adventure after another, best years of my life.
Try the pepper dish with red, yellow, and orange peppers, the dish is prettier and a little sweeter.

This vid really blessed my heart. I love seeing all of your children help in the kitchen. We homeschooled our children as well, reading recipes..using fractions, following directions etc all played a major part in our days. They helped create meal plans and shop for the best deals etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I absolutely LOVE these *meal prep* videos!!!! I only have ONE child (my 17yr old son, Tristan), but he LOVES to cook....& I even let him pick what he wants to eat for dinner each night (which saves me ALOT of indecisiveness with him).. So, I'm proof that meal prepping is not only beneficial for large families, it saves me ALOT of aggravation every single evening!!!

When I make that broccoli salad for just my husband and myself (we use the big bag from Sam’s Club) we cannot stop ourselves from eating it. It’s usually gone in 3 days, I will eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. Lol

Love that your kids know how to cook and that you encourage them to take the lead. Doing things for yourself makes you feel confident, competent, and secure! So many kids are not given this opportunity and I believe that is why they have so many issues with depression, anxiety, etc. I, like many others, have so enjoyed your show during this odd time.
BTW, I ordered the moccasins and blanket from your show two years ago as a gift for a friend's baby that is due next month. I want to try the FFF box but feel at this time it probably is best to conserve on expenses. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with others and for rearing such amazing people. I am impressed by your resourcefulness and authenticity.

When sourdough gets too big that's when you take part of the sourdough starter and make pancakes for breakfast to get it back to smaller size.

Years ago my family and used to attend a primarily Islander/Fijian church where everyone would bring food for lunch afterwards. They used to make a broccoli sallad that was so delicious. Not sure exactly what was in in but it h add broccoli florets, onion, some canned crab meat and a dressing made with coconut cream and chilli etc. So good.

I love the stuffed pepper dish, we make that a lot! I usually use red, yellow and orange peppers. I think it definitely makes the whole dish taste amazing and adds lovely color! I also make it in casserole form and it freezes really well.

Sonja Tregellis I have one recipe that I cook on the stove, and one that I cook in the oven. They are both really similar, I choose one or the other depending on how much time I have to spend on cooking… LOL!

At my age (approaching 80 years old) there haven't been babies in my home for a long time; however, we are in a "waiting" mode today waiting for my first GREAT grandchild. I'm sooo excited. I wrote down a few of your recipes. I'll half them then share some too.
I just noticed today - after watching your videos for a long time - that I have exact same countertops as I see in your kitchen. The only caveat is that I have to wipe off the Whole counter because I can't see anything that might be on it! What a problem, huh?

Watching your family makes me regret not having more than 2 boys...so fun and always busy around your home! I do feel it's time for you Sarah to take some time just for you...dress up, do your make-up and hair, and go on a "date drive" with Solo! This staying at home virus issue has really affected many people in regards to how we take care of ourselves...I know I'm staying in my pj's/sweats most of the day and not bothering to put on makeup nor do my hair...but when I do I feel and look better. You are a beautiful woman with a sweet heart!
