@hiddendesire3076 i believe i have created the ultimate full health hybrid stealth/no stealth bow build. At full adrenaline, my instigating bow (not compound) can very nearly 1 shot a level 100 super mutant. A compound bow would 1 shot. AP is not a problem, company tea, well tuned, radroach on a stick, cooked soft shell meat. I can kill tons of enemies before i run out of ap and ap refills in like 3 seconds. Once this legendary crafting update goes live I'll add a couple of ap refresh pieces to my armor. If you'd like me to share the full build let me know. I was using it for the past few weeks and having tons of fun, though you do kind of need a couple god roll bows for it to work, i got lucky in that way
You can have explosive with fire now with Burning Love and the compound explosive arrows🎉 The dual fire is hillarious. It toasts groups with one arrow. You can have fire and feeeze together. I love my Burning Love collection.

@@LeviZReaper Point of order: the second round/arrow has worse accuracy, but your primary shot is unaffected. From what Wiggle shows, TS on a bow isn't really a problem, the second arrow doesn't really diverge much.
They are removing that feature. It’s already in the PTS. You can’t re roll named legendaries and they are removing the stars on previously rolled ones.

personally i'm hoping they make several legendary effect variations like they did with explosive on some weapons like ballistic shotguns can only get 3% explosive as opposed to the normal 20% but as a buff, such as if your crossbow or black powder weapon is quad it doesn't have the increase to reload time since the reloads on those weapons are already pretty bad as it is.
Maybe we can finally put two shot onto thirst zapper. Gonna be so nice to use all the gear we never would have used otherwise. And armor. Whole new endgame fashion getting unlocked with this crafting update
I think this is great for a 6yr old game because at this point just ask the player base what they want and give it to them with some "balance/adjustments" to get new players and keep old players. This is an easy way to "add new content" without adding new content like no new maps, no new story just allow for better crafting. Anything to help with replayability/continued playability
I feel these changes are going to open the door to certain weapons now becoming viable main weapons...or...certain weapons that are already center stage becoming OP... Time will tell!
I've been slowly installing the PTS so I can test if any of those special named weapons like Perfect Storm, Old Guard's 10mm SMG, or Voice of Set can be modified to turn unique one star quest rewards into three-star weapons worth using. But it's been taking forever to get that dang PTS installed.
I got a lvl 50 perfect storm from some dudes vendor for 300 caps. I'm lvl 250 and still use it as a back up for those rare occasions my main weapon breaks or I run out of ammo. Burns em up pretty good. Love that little gun.

I made a dedicated healing character with medics shotguns and Solar Armor, and was so upset when my other character was doing a way better job healing with just that gun and the friendly fire perk. Medics effect and solar armor all have very short range limits so you cant heal someone unless you're like Yoda riding on their back. The Perfect Storm lets you heal from halfway across the map. It's amazing. But it would be twice as good at healing if they let me add a two-shot legendary effect!
You can tell the explosive effect is working because you set yourself on fire when you hit the mutant hound that was close, and with the two mutants standing next to each other.
Can't wait to make two shot quad plasma ultracite prime fat man +25% damage when not afk (explosives explode again for 20% damage) that I can buff with science perks.
I’m hoping that when you mentioned the animations aren’t quite there for the explosions, but they seem to be doing the correct damage, could Bethesda be doing what that mod you showcased with the cremator where the explosion is visibly less imposing but in reality it’s doing the huge splash damage? Cos that would be great
Thanks for shining some light on the up-sides of these changes ! I'm a little less salty about this in a whole . Maybe i just need to step back and look at the potential positives instead of picking apart all of the negatives . If these " relaxed " mod / legendaries stick .. I may dabble in more classes than heavy weopons and melee 🤠
The only complaints I've seen are from railway chumps. What problems do you have as a heavy/melee player. Genuinely curious. I'm also primarily a heavy gun user and everything I've seen but the changing of vampire for shotguns i love

Commando is good but most of the time you use V.A.T.S and ( To me ) its boring . I think that Rifleman , Pistols ,bows and Un armed for the most part needs buffed / re-freshed . With the new combos that are possible , it would make them fun / interesting to put time into
This game. Literally everything but shotguns gets love, and that's because the gauss shotty is so insane. But those of us who didn't go settlers in the MQ don't have it. We have the pump, the combat, and the pepper shaker. That's it.
Explosive pepper shaker is back and its such a good tagging weapon, now whats weird is hunting rifle cant get instagating anymore, and tesla rifle cant get FFR which is so strange
I was JUST about to comment that i want my explosive pepper shaker . I catch myself raining shells every time i use it , even though its not doing anything . It just feels like it should be a tagging weop. Im not sure why they took it away . Even with explosive , it was far from OP . Deff fun

Quad on cross is so bad and even worse now with that 30%. But spam firing so fast is great dps! I loved having a quad cross. But I never used it but to spawn and swap out till I could spend the time reloading. I had a two shot cross and was my favorite for damage. Best (on paper) damage with explosive I had. Miss having that one.
Explosive Laser, yeah I had one of them before & then a Bugthesda “re-balanced” it as it was deemed too OP. Now Bugthesda are bringing explosive laser’s back & claiming it be “wild & exciting,” yeah like who are they kidding? It was brilliant before they removed it completely from the game when all they needed was to “re-balance” it in the first place. I wonder if my old explosive laser will start working again when they bring the “new” crafting system back in the game as I still have kept my old laser on one of my Mules for sentimental reasons 😢
Removing legacies was the right call. Maybe it was too hard to be rebalanced in a timely manner. We'd have had to deal with toxic losers ruining events with their small pp weapons for an extra year and a half+. If they balance them correctly, great, can't wait to see them in game. If they can't, they need to stay gone.
@@chris5942 yeah I'm in the same boat but hey I kept all my legacies just in case they were gonna rework them. But idk if when they work out all the kinks if our legendary affects will return to our guns or if we need to just make new ones
@@PrestonGarvey. I am figuring making new ones will be the plan. B took away the 3rd star. I assume 3 stars will have to be on the weapon before we can change a star and keep 2 the same.
I doubt they will leave in legendaries without restriction, likely it is to test more effects or pull more people to run test server, maybe they didnt implemented restrictions in crafting so for now left it open to everything be possible bows should have two-shot available however, or as mod at lest, similarly as cremator has it, not like any of those cahnges would change much for me to run arrow weapons to be honest funny things could happen to things as thirst zapper, not like getting whole new "mechanics" or such, but that thing is great in theory, executed terribly, mainly as there dont seem to be many ways to boost up its damage much not sure if paddle can have legendary effects but that be such stupid weapon so I almost forgot that exist and I am not sure then if that could have twoshot or explosive or if that has melee effects and I am sure flaregun cant be legendary at all sadly, would be fun if that thing had literally any use except maybe roleplaying
Rather 2 shot, then you can use the double shot glitch. Also with last round, that's a double 25% chance to do double damage. Pair that with faster reload and that's nasty
No they're not good for bosses, but my regular bow (not compound) instigating leaves a level 100 super mutant at just a sliver of health with max adrenaline on a full health build. I use it and an anti armor at eviction notice and i have no problems. The anti armor with a crit will take a firestarter to 3/4 health and the second non crit shot kills it. Give them a chance.
It's nice but I still think separating the bow/crossbow from the rifleman perks was a bad choice

I remember when I had a black powder rifle with last shot.
As a bow enjoyer, this makes me quite happy, I also hope they allow Burning Love to re-rolled/change legendaries (like you can on holy fire).

You can run explosive arrows with Burning Love on the live server, I use it fairly regularly. 2 and last shot would be awesome
I tried it. Assassin's really lets it down, but i play full health. Might be ok on low health

Bow Before Me needs to be moved to another stat. Like shotguns where Skeet Shooter is in Perception and Enforcer is in Agility.
I've got a dozen bows in rotation as it is. Thankfully, they don't weigh much

I once had something like that, they hack it off from my weapon, now for them to returning is an insult after breaking mine.
This means its not going to exist , stop making dream rolls for your weapons cause there already a step ahead , thats the reason theres a pts server 🤓
