Happy to see bows making a return. When I first got into F76 about 2 years ago. I used bows mostly from Level 0 to 70. As I got more into events, boss fights and just generally optimizing my build I moved on but would love to revisit them.
omg if you can do that with the 4 star crossbow, I can't even imagine what the same stats on the black powder rifle will mean
Big time damage.
Damn... Even the crossbow is getting love while pistols are just ignored _🥲_ , when are the pistol perks moving to Perception and getting a substantial buff to actually be a viable build _🫠_
Revolvers did some buffs but crusader and gauss pistol didn't anything. It is possible, they'll get it too
Pistols and revolver are getting buffed just the crusaders isn’t
If you run a grocers backpack, max out adrenaline and run rank 1 of the gunslinger/guerilla cards, it’s definitely doable. I’ve been running a pistol build a majority of the time since the last update.
@@asazycat5467explosive gauss pistols are doing really well now I’m running a QE and it’s one tapping most mobs with head shots
They need to put pistols with rifles and automatic pistols with commando weapons. That would already solve a lot of issues
This is great to see. I've been leveling a new bow/melee character to eventually run crossbows in PA. Been wanting to make an effort at that build for years but now it might finally work as more than just a curiosity.

The damage on the black powder rifle is what I'm looking at, my old test build where I run around, like Mely Gibson in the patriot, with 5 flintlocks, taking out monsters in the woods of Appalachia.

It’s already putting out insane damage with the bloodied and explosive legendary effects and the poison DOT, can only imagine with the next update the damage it will put out!
I saw that in the notes and have been very excited to add a crossbow to my bow build
I am so happy to see the crossbow getting a buff. I love using it to apply DOTs while weapon swapping. Not the "best" for dots, but its lightweight and easy to swap between weapons.

I have an Instigating Last Shot crossbow, looking forward to testing it once the buff hits.
In the regular game, poison crossbow is currently doing poison DOT to robots and some other enemies that should be resistant to poison. On PC/Steam.
I made a tse on live a few days ago. Im hoping ts is the best option if u choose explosive frame because the explosive damage will be doubled due to two shot.
Finally cause i been waiting to main them. I got a bow and compound bow. But i always hated how the crossbow got left out
I just discovered the crossbow a couple of days ago. And as a sneak build that crossbow is a miiiggghhhty weapon already. I am able to bring down Blood Eagle and Scorched with one shot. With that upcoming buff? I am going to to full Lara Croft. Very cool.
All they need to do now is make quad actually quad on crossbows and man I'll be in crossbow heaven!! Thanks wiggle

Now, all they need to do is fix Quad on crossbows and archers will be sitting pretty.
I completely loved using bows until I was getting punished for not hitting enemies fast enough during events and getting a fraction of the rewards.😅 Gotta go cookie cutter for the weekly chores.
but quad on this thing works bugged like hell. huge delay between shots, no usable at all in live game now

bro why they had to mess quad i used to have a quad crossbow amazing weapon but now its the worst perk on crossbows like the mate said huge delay between shots

They allowed quad to come back this time with a timed sequence like every other quad single shot weapon. I have tested quad Black powder rifle, Fatman, crossbow and they all act the same you can hold 4 but only shoot in a timed sequence not all at once it’s one after another.

I got a B/25/15 crossbow from eviction notice but weapon speed doesn't work on a crossbow, in gonna replace it with explosive box 💪
If you really go by law and everything crossbow should be more powerful than a bone a compound bow because a crossbow was specifically designed to puncture through body armor

Man, it's still no where comparable to heavy hitter like gause rifle, alien distigrator, ... Or dps monster like auto rifles, railway rifle, ... Like after certain point of progression, what's the point of these weapon (aside they look kinda cool)

they need like a upgraded cross bow maybe like an military version like how the bow has the compound bow and normal bow
crappy firerate slowass projectiles i wanted to love them but no it would have to make 500+ damage per shot to be worth it,,,because the second you miss even a low level enemy they will be in your face the second you miss
game looks sooo easy with those kinda high damage weapons...and soon will be 4 star,I dunno guys,seems it will be super easy game (( just like teso in solo content
