Day 2 is missing because the Judge scolded you for conduct that was unlawful. Did you apologize yet to the courts and the Jury for this? Gauging this why you removed the airing of day 2, but hard to point fingers without being accountable and was wrong to do as the Jury is paid by tax payers and lawful conduct must be abided by. Owning errors or not is a reflection upon your company in the law industry and it’s not a good look from here.
I was a background actor on a recent Western filmed at Bonanza Ranch. Seconds after a scene was shot, the armorer came and snatched back the fake knife I used in my costume. I only had it for about a minute before shooting, and a minute after. It was impressive.

Nicolas Cage got Hannah fired or tried to (not sure which) from a film, and she also gave her motorcycle keys to a boyfriend who was extremely drunk. He died in a wreck on the motorcycle. Yeah checking the chamber (or cylinder in this case) is basic stuff, they should have all known they were using real guns and should have been checking them every time they get handed one. Its crazy these so called "professionals" cant practice basic gun safety.

They intentionally hired an inexperienced girl so they could check off a box, then pushed her around until she was doing multiple jobs for the same pay, and didn’t allow her to really do the job she was hired to do. It’s telling that no one would say anything to Alec Baldwin. It’s also telling that 6 people walked off the set claiming it was not safe, yet production went forward with no changes. There must be some reason that it wasn’t checked out, for example some financial deadline? As he said, it’s never an accident when a gun goes off. It’s a negligent accident.

Alec was a producer and the one with the most social power or respect. If he had said "hey let's stop and recheck this, something is wrong", other people would have listened and agreed just because of his fame and power on set. I think a lot is going to come out and it could destroy Alec Baldwin's life. Even if he is found innocent based on the info in the case it could still completely destroy his career.

An actor was handed a prop he told was clear by the person responsible for the props, and started practicing his lines. Sorry, but words have meaning.
Low Budget was not really the issue, it was THE CREW !!! If I saw Gutierrez walk in to manage "guns", I would have walk off, just like the crew whom did... That save their life.
@@chriswong9158 Hannah is cooked. Very surprised she did not take the deal. OTOH, I can see why Alec wants to fight. He relied on people to do their jobs so he expected the tool to be safe. His failure to hire competent people and then his failure to supervise them after two on set accidental discharges are going to be a big problem.
The only thing I can think of is that he misspoke and that he meant to say that the armorer is not the only one responsible, since he just said that each of the 3 people failed in their duty to check it.
The armorer didn't aim then fire an unchecked gun at the cinematographer, at close range. Only Alec performed those actions. Only Alec decided to break every gun rule and ignore film set protocols for gun handling. The armorer wasn't even allowed in the church to perform her job. Blame Dave Halls for his part because he ordered dummy rounds that were not required for the rehearsal. Hannah turned the barrel to show Dave the rounds then he claims not to have paid attention. Then Dave, not knowing whether the rounds were safe, called out "cold gun." Dave, taking over armorer duty neglected to demonstrate the rounds for Baldwin. Alec should have insisted on the inspection. Everyone is assuming the armorer is guilty because she is a scatterbrain but two people handled the gun after her who also had opportunity to insert a live round. In the end though, only Alec decided to fire a gun at Halyna.

I read an article about the armorer. She was a newbie to the trade. Vinny's question is well put. Who in Hell was responsible for the guns AND AMMO on the set? There should NEVER have been any live rounds anywhere near that set. And apparently someone on set was playing - PLAYING - with a gun loaded with live rounds. Crazy.
She mentioned her dad was also in the profession though? I wonder if she got the job through nepotism? She just mentioned her dad and they were like oh sweet we can pay her dirt cheap but she’s got experience. Allegedly they purchased dummies from a disorganized shop…I feel like production took advantage of her, but also she bragged about being around guns her whole life. You can’t say that and then claim ignorance when you miss live rounds mixed in with dummies, and fail to check them while you’re loading the gun.
I have worked on various TV sets, not as an armorer, but as a production assistant, including on the set of the very popular police TV show Chicago PD, where the entire cast uses real, and various weapons non-stop, from various types of pistols to machine guns, and from my experience I can say that It's best when everyone on a film set has to check their guns, both armorers and actors. For extra security, just to be sure. The best-case scenario is also to hire actors who know how to handle weapons in real life. And I must say that the cast of Chicago PD is a shining example here. The Chicago PD cast is highly trained in weapons and some of the guys there know weapons incredibly well, almost as well as professional armorers and police officers. For example, actor Jesse Lee Soffer, who plays an Afghanistan veteran and cop on the show, Jay Halstead, is an accomplished& excellent shooter in real life, knows his way around almost every gun and ammunition, and is generally very athletic, and one of the real-life veteran cops from Chicago, Brian Luce, who is the expert and producer on the show, told me that Jesse is the only one out of the cast who could be a great cop in real life. So, it's best to have well-trained actors in movies and TV series that require using a lot of firearms, then there's nothing to worry about. And such actors exist, and still, they are later additionally trained, just like on the set of Chicago PD. The only difference is that since it's a police procedural/cop show, there were real police officers and weapons experts from Chicago working there as experts and armorers, so the training was top-notch. Rust definitely had a very chaotic, unprofessional production department and an unprofessional, irresponsible armorer. Such a tragedy would certainly not have happened if the best, most experienced weapons experts had worked on this set.
Baldwin heard multiple misfires the day before, he knew the situation with the guns in set was VERY out of control. Knowing that, he pointed a loaded gun at a woman and pulled the hammer back (and possibly pulled the trigger). He knew the situation with the guns was insanely bad and he still did that.
There were two accidental discharges within an hour of each other, many complaints from the crew about the lack of safety, the 6 crew that walked off....even Hannah, who should face consequences, told her superiors that if she has to do two jobs, one in props and one as the armorer, said that her attention diverted from her armorer duties will end up with her making mistakes and look what happened? The management was willfully ignorant including Baldwin.
Yeah but those were negligent discharges with blanks. His gun was supposedly loaded with dummy rounds. Apples and oranges. In my opinion, he could not foresee what happened. With Hannah it was a different story. Without her negligence that accident would have never happened.
Hannah AND ALEC were responsible. He was the executive producer. He was in charge of safety of the production along with a myriad of other things. He cut safety meetings, he had an entire camera crew walk off set and quit the day before the death. He was notified by Lane Looper, and he told Lane to kick rocks, he didnt need him and he didnt care about why they were leaving. He reached out to EXPERIENCED ARMOROURS VERY SHORTLY before production instead of doing it earlier, they ALL told him NO WAY because of the amount of guns he wanted and it being such a short period of time, not to mention he didnt want safety meetings for them, found Hannah, TOTALLY INEXPERIENCED, and the EXTREMELY EXPERIENCED ARMOROURS SAID NO because it wasnt safe, so he goes around them and hires this inexperienced drug addict, Hannah, to do TWO JOBS when even doing the ONE JOB for experienced armorours was too much, held an inpromtu run through without the armorour present and even though the ENTIRE CAMERA CREW QUIT THE DAY BEFORE OVER SAFETY ISSUES REGARDING THE GUNS AND POSSIBLE LIVE AMMO, the man STILL takes a gun THROWN TO HIM by Dave Halls, doesnt fkin check it AT ALL, just assumes Halls knows wtf he's talking about, takes the gun, AIMS IT, AND PULLS THE TRIGGER ALMOST KILLING 3 PEOPLE (a cameraman, Joel Souza, Halyna) and DOES KILL Halyna. 16 SAFETY VIOLATIONS that if he had followed JUST ONE OF THE SAFETY PROTOCOLS SHE'D BE ALIVE PEOPLE!!! THEN gets on TV and LIES about pulling the trigger which we now know he's a fkin liar. They have FOOTAGE of him with his finger on the trigger moments before he kills her. IF ANYONE SAYS HE IS INNOCENT, YOU MUST BE ON CRACK.

Alec Baldwin is an actor! Not an armorer. The armorer is the armorer. Why hire an armorer, when everyone is expected to do an armorers job? Is the armorer expected to act in the show? Everyone has their jobs. The armorer is guilty 100%. The rest of the crew IS NOT culpable for the mistakes, oversights, ineptitude of the armorer.

I'm third of hearing about the poor kid 24 year old, who had som much put on her shoulders. We send young men and women into combat, who are less than 21 years old. We have police officers in perilous situations at a far younger age. Health care workers, who are less than 21 years old. And we're supposed to feel sorry for 24 year old armorer?

It's conspiratorial but I also wondered if someone handled gun during lunch and put live round in as sabotage. First AD didn't check weapon. 3 people never checked the Colt single action revolver missed the life round. But we now know live rounds were on a movie set with real guns and there never should have been live rounds on set - period.
Drug use in Hollywood is by nature negligence waiting to happen... "studies have found that regular cocaine users demonstrate poor memory, lack of concentration and have attention deficits." and "difficult to understand the mental perspective of others, demonstrated less emotional empathy, found it hard to detect emotions from the voices of others etc". Social concern and sense of acute responsibility would likely be affected by cocaine use.
The lack of professionalism of this girl is absolutely unbelievable… one would think one would represent themselves in such a manner with having such a high responsibility and especially with just starting out with a career in a business that so many would love to have the opportunity she was given. I would also think she would want to make her Father proud and represent herself with the same standards of his career.
Filming movies is mostly just waiting time for the crew, until the actors and set is ready. I’m thinking they just spent that time playing with the guns and shooting at things on the set to kill the time.Someone just left the life rounds in, in a rush… It’s not an accident it’s negligence
The man who gave antique guns to shoot was very clear no live rounds were to be fired from that antique 6 shooter and the crew did use it with live rounds in impromptu target practice so already they were not being safe that's why live rounds were around. No one checked all six cylinders were blanks. The live rounds have a silver center.
I agreed with Fojbe, that the gun was probably used earlier for Plinking and Alec had no clue that the rounds in the gun were real , maybe even Alec was plinking with the gun earlier, but looking at this nut so-called armorer I bet she was the cause of the row of dominoes to all fall. I would not trust her to check the oil in my lawn mower.
Certainly the young woman wasn’t capable of being in this position of trust. I watched her police interview a while back and her indifference seemed astounding. She also struck me as a slob, wiping her mouth with her sleeve. She seemed sloppy & lazy, definitely not any type of go-getter. She seemed ‘bothered’ that she needed to be there. 100% inexcusable to find other live rounds. I also find that Alec doesn’t have 100% clean hands either, so I’d gauge it 90% her fault, and 10% to Alec, as he should have exercised more discretion and oversight. I wish them both well, because obviously neither wanted any of this to occur. My 2 cents..
Quite a few people are guilty of negligence, Gutierrez, Baldwin and David Halls. Gutierrez for the obvious reason for loading a live round, Baldwin and Hall for ignoring the safety issues. Less so for Baldwin pulling the trigger if the armourer told him it was a blank.
When the dust settles the insurance company of Rust will be out a lot of money. Alec can appeal any trial outcome for years. He is determined to finish this film for distribution.
I think the Armorer Hannah was intimidated by Baldwin and probably didn’t want to stand up to him but besides that… she still didn’t take her job seriously… And remember…. 99.9999% of the time it’s a “Negligent Discharge”… not and accidental discharge. It’s negligent because someone had their finger on the trigger 99.9999% of the time when they should not have.

It seems like this entire movie set was filled with a Wild West party mentality! No one forced Alec to pull the gun directly at the camera crew. I think he thought he was being funny.
As Alec was practicing his cross draw the gun went off and the two camera crew were in alignment with the camera just behind it. The one bullet fired went straight through first person into second. Alec claimed he didn't pull the trigger but the FBI ballistics tester said the gun had to be cocked and trigger pulled to shoot weapon. No other way was possible to make gun go off by accident except if gun hammer was broken. Tragic. The family of the woman killed have a video of a computer simulation of the scene as it went off - you can watch it to see what he was doing, how close they were what happened. Alec was insistent that guns be real on set not rubber props. It never should have happened. But several people making mistakes led to this event happening - not just one.
It’s suggested that she was high on drugs during the filming. The defense attorneys were fighting to keep her drug use out of court but it was in her text messages.
Hannah, the armorer is at fault ultimately. She was responsible for all firearm safety. A lot went wrong on set but no live ammo, no one dies. The AD is also partly responsible. He should have checked that gun also.
That box being on set is very telling. I think she assumed her Dad, who taught her, would “never” mix things up. The rest is lazy egos. All should be charged.
Money. They offered it to a veteran armorer but they didn't want to pay that much. He was told he would have to be a prop person, too and he refused thinking it would be too dangerous.

The big problem was that she was using all different types of dummy rounds. Some with holes, some without that look almost exactly like live rounds. She wasn't very organized.
@@lpr5269 when she’s first being interviewed at the police station and she empties her pockets it is such a hot mess. All this unorganized ammunition comes tumbling out on the table. As someone who has ADD it kind of looked like we have something in common.
Someone in charge didn't call a meeting on safety because half the crew had walked off set due to safety concerns and there was stress due to COVID protocols to get scene in the can. Dave Hall only saw three depressed primer dummy rounds in chamber not all 6. If he had seen all six he would have noticed. So several people had to have made mistakes for this to happen.
Incredibly sad when someone goes to work and does not come home. Accidents don't just happen. Firearm safety is not the only violation of basic work place safety going on here. The managers in charge clearly did not care about the safety of their employees or take their crews safety seriously. People quit due to safety concerns yet nothing was done.

Also a point nobody has made, Alec Baldwins father was a gun instructor while Alec and his brothers were growing up. If any actor knows guns, it’s him. Zero excuse for not checking that weapon or aiming it towards a person.
She had 2 jobs 1) was an armorer and the second 2) she was suppose to help the head of the prop department. That is why she was rolling cigarettes. No knowledgeable armorer would have ever taken this job. Other armorers passed on this job because there was no money for them to have assistants. The producers were exploiting someone young and green and didn't know any better.
I agree but when you take drugs when you are young I believe they can stunt your emotional growth. True she was only 24 but she didn’t look like a mature together 24 year old. But at the very least her father should have stopped her from taking this job when he learned they were going to require her to do the armorers job as well as report to the head of props.
When referring to the previous events of firearms going off unintentionally, "negligent discharge" is different than an "accidental discharge". They're not interchangable terms, Law and Crime. These are negligent discharges.
I was an AD. Safety was ignored. Protocol was ignored. All involved were grossly negligent, the armorer particular. Most importantly, there should never have been live rounds on site. Not on set. Not on the truck. Not on anyone’s possession. PERIOD.
Loaded guns do not kill people. Aiming it at a person, cocking the hammer and pulling the trigger DOES. Hannah is an absolutely terrible armorer, not a killer.
No he didn’t she brought live rounds on the set from her home because she got them mixed up with the dummy’s that has already been proven. She was careless as hell and it proves it. Alec Baldwin said that he would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger. So he knows how dangerous it is to do that, yet he did it. Even if you believe he didn't pull the trigger, he aimed a gun and pulled the hammer all the way back, then let it go. Incredibly dangerous to do that. He was negligent.
Schneider has chimed in on this many times about standard well known gun safety was just not followed. The three principle rules: never point a gun at a person, always assume a gun is loaded, always check if a gun is loaded after being handed one. Never assume a gun is not loaded with a live round if it in your hand you always check. The live rounds in a six shooter had silver centers. That poor woman who was shot and killed and her family and the other man was shot and injured. The movie is intending to be finished and released due to contractual obligations.
Dr. Jasson Piccolo just nailed it saying when single action revolver hammer is fully cocked, only pressure on the trigger is required to fire. I believe the difference between the double action revolver and the single action revolver is important in this case. The position of the trigger in a double action is center of trigger guard and requires about 3/4 inch pull to fire. With single action revolver the trigger is fixed or tight near rear of the trigger guard and requires only slight pressure to fire. Recently I saw a video of Baldwin rehearsing a scene where he repeatedly fires a double action revolver dramatically pulling the trigger rapidly firing multiple shots. In the fatality he is using a single action revolver and states as he did the cross draw he cocked the gun. I believe this shows neglect and why Baldwin thinks he didn't pull the trigger.
I propose that from this point forward all actors are properly trained on how to handle firearms since PROFESSIONAL EXPERTS are unable to keep sets safe. Actors will need to be trained to understand that there is no cold gun and every time they fire a weapon on set they need to be the ones to make sure the rounds are dummy rounds and not rely on armorers that clearly are unable to do that simple job.

I don't disagree with you regarding who is really at fault here but apparently Law Enforcement and many people commenting on these videos feel that Baldwin should be charged for murder.
It is a bit ridiculous, there was no higher safety standards in place. I mean, even as a nurse, we need 2 signatures to take out narcotics (that are locked up.) We have many safety protocols for high risk medications. Why do they not require that for a movie production? Two armors should be double checking everything. Hollywood can afford it!

According to an interview with the prop master one of the unintentional discharges was a stunt man handling the gun which had blanks in it. The second was done by the prop master (person being interviewed) when she was trying to un-cock a gun loaded with blanks. None of those were live rounds. Note that the term ''misfire'' is being used totally wrong in this case. A misfire is when you pull the trigger and expect something to happen and it doesn't. Note that the prop master said that she has never fired a real gun with a real bullet. So she has very little experience with guns yet she was handling the guns.
Defense lawyer is going to say the gun was damaged and they couldn't conduct their own test as if the FBI didn't know what they are doing,, but that will be his angle.
I was unaware that movie productions have a political affiliation 😂 It's because they were trying to cut corners for profit combined with skipping protocol. They had two misfires already, normally that would have been meant an immediate replacement of the armorer, but it was cheaper to keep her on, and probably they didn't want to fire her because her dad was so well known.
Hannah was unprofessional and reckless. The was exactly the same on the set of "The Old Way" in Montana and she should have been fired then. She got a second chance and blew it. Literally. I've been at both sets and left. Yes- this is normal behavior for a low budget western, but this led to a death. I hope they learn, but I am doubtful.

I was a background actor on a recent Western filmed at Bonanza Ranch. Seconds after a scene was shot, the armorer came and snatched back the fake knife I used in my costume. I only had it for about a minute before shooting, and a minute after. It was impressive.

Yeah checking the chamber (or cylinder in this case) is basic stuff, they should have all known they were using real guns and should have been checking them every time they get handed one. Its crazy these so called "professionals" cant practice basic gun safety.

They intentionally hired an inexperienced girl so they could check off a box, then pushed her around until she was doing multiple jobs for the same pay, and didn’t allow her to really do the job she was hired to do. It’s telling that no one would say anything to Alec Baldwin. It’s also telling that 6 people walked off the set claiming it was not safe, yet production went forward with no changes. There must be some reason that it wasn’t checked out, for example some financial deadline? As he said, it’s never an accident when a gun goes off. It’s a negligent accident.

If he had said "hey let's stop and recheck this, something is wrong", other people would have listened and agreed just because of his fame and power on set. Unless he secretly wasn't respected by the people. It's a sad story but it's completely intriguing and a mystery that I've never seen any other case like it. I think a lot is going to come out and it could destroy Alec Baldwin's life. Even if he is found innocent based on the info in the case it could still completely destroy his career.

The only thing I can think of is that he misspoke and that he meant to say that the armorer is not the only one responsible, since he just said that each of the 3 people failed in their duty to check it.

The armorer didn't aim then fire an unchecked gun at the cinematographer, at close range. Only Alec performed those actions. Only Alec decided to break every gun rule and ignore film set protocols for gun handling. The armorer wasn't even allowed in the church to perform her job.
Blame Dave Halls for his part because he ordered dummy rounds that were not required for the rehearsal. Hannah turned the barrel to show Dave the rounds then he claims not to have paid attention. Then Dave, not knowing whether the rounds were safe, called out "cold gun." Dave, taking over armorer duty neglected to demonstrate the rounds for Baldwin. Alec should have insisted on the inspection.
Everyone is assuming the armorer is guilty because she is a scatterbrain but two people handled the gun after her who also had opportunity to insert a live round. In the end though, only Alec decided to fire a gun at Halyna.

I read an article about the armorer. She was a newbie to the trade. Vinny's question is well put. Who in Hell was responsible for the guns AND AMMO on the set? There should NEVER have been any live rounds anywhere near that set. And apparently someone on set was playing - PLAYING - with a gun loaded with live rounds. Crazy.
For sure. She was high on drugs which was horrific.
She mentioned her dad was also in the profession though? I wonder if she got the job through nepotism? She just mentioned her dad and they were like oh sweet we can pay her dirt cheap but she’s got experience. Allegedly they purchased dummies from a disorganized shop…I feel like production took advantage of her, but also she bragged about being around guns her whole life. You can’t say that and then claim ignorance when you miss live rounds mixed in with dummies, and fail to check them while you’re loading the gun.

I have worked on various TV sets, not as an armorer, but as a production assistant, including on the set of the very popular police TV show Chicago PD, where the entire cast uses real, and various weapons non-stop, from various types of pistols to machine guns, and from my experience I can say that It's best when everyone on a film set has to check their guns, both armorers and actors. For extra security, just to be sure. The best-case scenario is also to hire actors who know how to handle weapons in real life.
And I must say that the cast of Chicago PD is a shining example here. The Chicago PD cast is highly trained in weapons and some of the guys there know weapons incredibly well, almost as well as professional armorers and police officers. For example, actor Jesse Lee Soffer, who plays an Afghanistan veteran and cop on the show, Jay Halstead, is an accomplished& excellent shooter in real life, knows his way around almost every gun and ammunition, and is generally very athletic, and one of the real-life veteran cops from Chicago, Brian Luce, who is the expert and producer on the show, told me that Jesse is the only one out of the cast who could be a great cop in real life.
So, it's best to have well-trained actors in movies and TV series that require using a lot of firearms, then there's nothing to worry about. And such actors exist, and still, they are later additionally trained, just like on the set of Chicago PD. The only difference is that since it's a police procedural/cop show, there were real police officers and weapons experts from Chicago working there as experts and armorers, so the training was top-notch. Rust definitely had a very chaotic, unprofessional production department and an unprofessional, irresponsible armorer. Such a tragedy would certainly not have happened if the best, most experienced weapons experts had worked on this set.
Will the crew members who walked off set because of the safety issues testify?

Baldwin heard multiple misfires the day before, he knew the situation with the guns in set was VERY out of control. Knowing that, he pointed a loaded gun at a woman and pulled the hammer back (and possibly pulled the trigger). He knew the situation with the guns was insanely bad and he still did that.

There were two accidental discharges within an hour of each other, many complaints from the crew about the lack of safety, the 6 crew that walked off....even Hannah, who should face consequences, told her superiors that if she has to do two jobs, one in props and one as the armorer, said that her attention diverted from her armorer duties will end up with her making mistakes and look what happened? The management was willfully ignorant including Baldwin.
It also apply to cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, had she follow the crew walk off, it would not have happen to her

Hannah AND ALEC were responsible. He was the executive producer. He was in charge of safety of the production along with a myriad of other things. He cut safety meetings, he had an entire camera crew walk off set and quit the day before the death. He was notified by Lane Looper, and he told Lane to kick rocks, he didnt need him and he didnt care about why they were leaving. He reached out to EXPERIENCED ARMOROURS VERY SHORTLY before production instead of doing it earlier, they ALL told him NO WAY because of the amount of guns he wanted and it being such a short period of time, not to mention he didnt want safety meetings for them, found Hannah, TOTALLY INEXPERIENCED, and the EXTREMELY EXPERIENCED ARMOROURS SAID NO because it wasnt safe, so he goes around them and hires this inexperienced drug addict, Hannah, to do TWO JOBS when even doing the ONE JOB for experienced armorours was too much, held an inpromtu run through without the armorour present and even though the ENTIRE CAMERA CREW QUIT THE DAY BEFORE OVER SAFETY ISSUES REGARDING THE GUNS AND POSSIBLE LIVE AMMO, the man STILL takes a gun THROWN TO HIM by Dave Halls, doesnt fkin check it AT ALL, just assumes Halls knows wtf he's talking about, takes the gun, AIMS IT, AND PULLS THE TRIGGER ALMOST KILLING 3 PEOPLE (a cameraman, Joel Souza, Halyna) and DOES KILL Halyna. 16 SAFETY VIOLATIONS that if he had followed JUST ONE OF THE SAFETY PROTOCOLS SHE'D BE ALIVE PEOPLE!!! THEN gets on TV and LIES about pulling the trigger which we now know he's a fkin liar. They have FOOTAGE of him with his finger on the trigger moments before he kills her. IF ANYONE SAYS HE IS INNOCENT, YOU MUST BE ON CRACK.

It's conspiratorial but I also wondered if someone handled gun during lunch and put live round in as sabotage. First AD didn't check weapon. 3 people never checked the Colt single action revolver missed the life round. But we now know live rounds were on a movie set with real guns and there never should have been live rounds on set - period.
Drug use in Hollywood is by nature negligence waiting to happen... "studies have found that regular cocaine users demonstrate poor memory, lack of concentration and have attention deficits." and "difficult to understand the mental perspective of others, demonstrated less emotional empathy, found it hard to detect emotions from the voices of others etc". Social concern and sense of acute responsibility would likely be affected by cocaine use.
The lack of professionalism of this girl is absolutely unbelievable… one would think one would represent themselves in such a manner with having such a high responsibility and especially with just starting out with a career in a business that so many would love to have the opportunity she was given. I would also think she would want to make her Father proud and represent herself with the same standards of his career.

The man who gave antique guns to shoot was very clear no live rounds were to be fired from that antique 6 shooter and the crew did use it with live rounds in impromptu target practice so already they were not being safe that's why live rounds were around. No one checked all six cylinders were blanks. The live rounds have a silver center.
I agreed with Fojbe, that the gun was probably used earlier for Plinking and Alec had no clue that the rounds in the gun were real , maybe even Alec was plinking with the gun earlier, but looking at this nut so-called armorer I bet she was the cause of the row of dominoes to all fall.

Certainly the young woman wasn’t capable of being in this position of trust. I watched her police interview a while back and her indifference seemed astounding. She also struck me as a slob, wiping her mouth with her sleeve. She seemed sloppy & lazy, definitely not any type of go-getter. She seemed ‘bothered’ that she needed to be there. 100% inexcusable to find other live rounds. I also find that Alec doesn’t have 100% clean hands either, so I’d gauge it 90% her fault, and 10% to Alec, as he should have exercised more discretion and oversight. I wish them both well, because obviously neither wanted any of this to occur. My 2 cents..

Quite a few people are guilty of negligence, Gutierrez, Baldwin and David Halls. Gutierrez for the obvious reason for loading a live round, Baldwin and Hall for ignoring the safety issues. Less so for Baldwin pulling the trigger if the armourer told him it was a blank.
From the sounds of it there was a lot of cuts on that set. Cuts that cost someone their life. No amount of money is worth a human life, none.💔
When the dust settles the insurance company of Rust will be out a lot of money. Alec can appeal any trial outcome for years. He is determined to finish this film for distribution.

It seems like this entire movie set was filled with a Wild West party mentality! No one forced Alec to pull the gun directly at the camera crew. I think he thought he was being funny.
As Alec was practicing his cross draw the gun went off and the two camera crew were in alignment with the camera just behind it. The one bullet fired went straight through first person into second. Alec claimed he didn't pull the trigger but the FBI ballistics tester said the gun had to be cocked and trigger pulled to shoot weapon. No other way was possible to make gun go off by accident except if gun hammer was broken. Tragic. The family of the woman killed have a video of a computer simulation of the scene as it went off - you can watch it to see what he was doing, how close they were what happened. Alec was insistent that guns be real on set not rubber props. It never should have happened. But several people making mistakes led to this event happening - not just one.

It’s suggested that she was high on drugs during the filming. The defense attorneys were fighting to keep her drug use out of court but it was in her text messages.
They had live rounds mixed with dummy rounds. There’s no way that set was ever safe. It was a matter of when not if.
Hannah, the armorer is at fault ultimately. She was responsible for all firearm safety. A lot went wrong on set but no live ammo, no one dies. The AD is also partly responsible. He should have checked that gun also.
That box being on set is very telling. I think she assumed her Dad, who taught her, would “never” mix things up. The rest is lazy egos. All should be charged.
Why would they not hire a military veteran that served as an armorer? Theres tens of thousands that could do that job with total safety maintained.

The big problem was that she was using all different types of dummy rounds. Some with holes, some without that look almost exactly like live rounds. She wasn't very organized.

Someone in charge didn't call a meeting on safety because half the crew had walked off set due to safety concerns and there was stress due to COVID protocols to get scene in the can. Dave Hall only saw three depressed primer dummy rounds in chamber not all 6. If he had seen all six he would have noticed. So several people had to have made mistakes for this to happen.
No work place that cuts corners for profit is safe.

Incredibly sad when someone goes to work and does not come home. Accidents don't just happen. Firearm safety is not the only violation of basic work place safety going on here. The managers in charge clearly did not care about the safety of their employees or take their crews safety seriously. People quit due to safety concerns yet nothing was done.
She looks high in these clips, was she or anyone who handled the weapon drug tested after the incident? I know she smoked from her txts but was she under the influence at that moment in time?
Also a point nobody has made, Alec Baldwins father was a gun instructor while Alec and his brothers were growing up. If any actor knows guns, it’s him. Zero excuse for not checking that weapon or aiming it towards a person.

She had 2 jobs 1) was an armorer and the second 2) she was suppose to help the head of the prop department. That is why she was rolling cigarettes. No knowledgeable armorer would have ever taken this job. Other armorers passed on this job because there was no money for them to have assistants. The producers were exploiting someone young and green and didn't know any better.

I agree but when you take drugs when you are young I believe they can stunt your emotional growth. True she was only 24 but she didn’t look like a mature together 24 year old. But at the very least her father should have stopped her from taking this job when he learned they were going to require her to do the armorers job as well as report to the head of props.

When referring to the previous events of firearms going off unintentionally, "negligent discharge" is different than an "accidental discharge". They're not interchangable terms, Law and Crime. These are negligent discharges.

I was an AD. Safety was ignored. Protocol was ignored. All involved were grossly negligent, the armorer particular. Most importantly, there should never have been live rounds on site. Not on set. Not on the truck. Not on anyone’s possession. PERIOD.
Loaded guns do not kill people. Aiming it at a person, cocking the hammer and pulling the trigger DOES. Hannah is an absolutely terrible armorer, not a killer.

Alec Baldwin said that he would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger. So he knows how dangerous it is to do that, yet he did it. Even if you believe he didn't pull the trigger, he aimed a gun and pulled the hammer all the way back, then let it go. Incredibly dangerous to do that. He was negligent.
John Schneider! Well, he has been on sets with a LOT of guns.
Schneider has chimed in on this many times about standard well known gun safety was just not followed. The three principle rules: never point a gun at a person, always assume a gun is loaded, always check if a gun is loaded after being handed one. Never assume a gun is not loaded with a live round if it in your hand you always check. The live rounds in a six shooter had silver centers. That poor woman who was shot and killed and her family and the other man was shot and injured. The movie is intending to be finished and released due to contractual obligations.
Dr. Jasson Piccolo just nailed it saying when single action revolver hammer is fully cocked, only pressure on the trigger is required to fire. I believe the difference between the double action revolver and the single action revolver is important in this case. The position of the trigger in a double action is center of trigger guard and requires about 3/4 inch pull to fire. With single action revolver the trigger is fixed or tight near rear of the trigger guard and requires only slight pressure to fire. Recently I saw a video of Baldwin rehearsing a scene where he repeatedly fires a double action revolver dramatically pulling the trigger rapidly firing multiple shots. In the fatality he is using a single action revolver and states as he did the cross draw he cocked the gun. I believe this shows neglect and why Baldwin thinks he didn't pull the trigger.
I propose that from this point forward all actors are properly trained on how to handle firearms since PROFESSIONAL EXPERTS are unable to keep sets safe. Actors will need to be trained to understand that there is no cold gun and every time they fire a weapon on set they need to be the ones to make sure the rounds are dummy rounds and not rely on armorers that clearly are unable to do that simple job.
@@jefferyk.spellerberg176 the actor will have to be trained to make sure that those are still dummy rounds. Otherwise the risk to the actor of being charged by Law Enforcement is too high. I don't disagree with you regarding who is really at fault here but apparently Law Enforcement and many people commenting on these videos feel that Baldwin should be charged for murder.
It is a bit ridiculous, there was no higher safety standards in place. I mean, even as a nurse, we need 2 signatures to take out narcotics (that are locked up.) We have many safety protocols for high risk medications. Why do they not require that for a movie production? Two armors should be double checking everything. Hollywood can afford it!

So far, I can see that she was negligent, but I can also see that she was overworked and not really allowed to do her job fully. Production seems heavily to blame. Her lawyer is making good points. So far, I’m seeing reasonable doubt.
They intentionally hired an inexperienced girl only because they’re required to have an armorer. Then they pushed her around until she was doing the job of multiple people, and rushed her.

According to an interview with the prop master one of the unintentional discharges was a stunt man handling the gun which had blanks in it. The second was done by the prop master (person being interviewed) when she was trying to un-cock a gun loaded with blanks. None of those were live rounds. Note that the term ''misfire'' is being used totally wrong in this case. A misfire is when you pull the trigger and expect something to happen and it doesn't. Note that the prop master said that she has never fired a real gun with a real bullet. So she has very little experience with guns yet she was handling the guns.

I was unaware that movie productions have a political affiliation 😂 It's because they were trying to cut corners for profit combined with skipping protocol. They had two misfires already, normally that would have been meant an immediate replacement of the armorer, but it was cheaper to keep her on, and probably they didn't want to fire her because her dad was so well known.

Hannah was unprofessional and reckless. The was exactly the same on the set of "The Old Way" in Montana and she should have been fired then. She got a second chance and blew it. Literally. I've been at both sets and left. Yes- this is normal behavior for a low budget western, but this led to a death. I hope they learn, but I am doubtful.
She is young and was allegedly doing yayo on set. That's why protocols were not followed.

So where did the live rounds come from? I heard that other workers on the set had used these guns for target practice days before.
Trusting that the prop gun has been checked is akin to a race car driver trusting the car’s brakes are functioning well because the pit crew said so.
