M50 swap for the E30 would definitely be the move if it were me. The process has been insanely documented and the resale value (if you weren't planning to keep it) would be more than the M10. Congrats on the shop space as well, id give anything to have that down where im at haha

Honestly for a reliability and a budget standpoint you should get a m20 for the e30. I had a e30 (325e) and a e28 (528e) and they both went over 400k miles each. I sold them a while back so I have no idea how they are now but it’s a thought.
