100% Cotton shirts are generally open ended cotton and this means they are not processed to remove the impurities.
100% Combed and Ringspun Cotton is a material that has been processed to remove impurities and therefore feels smooth and great on your skin.
Polyester is a synthetic fabric and is commonly used for sports and fitness brands. Finding the right mix of polyester allows your skin to breath when you sweat and keeps you cool when working out.

So I believe there's a point where it becomes BS price points such as Aesthetic Revolution clothing products where they charge an arm and a leg for something that you can make cheaper, but not be blantantly obvious for money grabs. Would you say that it is all in the marketing to convince someone to buy something that would be cheaper but you know is top notch materials?
It's ultimately is about the marketing of a product. For the most part the approach I discussed here can be considered a baseline for anyone starting out. The apparel industry has no limits and is built around hype for sure. It definitely helps you appreciate brands such as Patagonia and others who have products that are legit, and are priced accordingly.
