- Amazing SPEED TEST! Here's an outdoor mounted 5G Modem with integrated 4x4 MIMO Antenna that just has PoE Ethernet ran into the house for the best possible cellular data speeds for your home or RV internet. This uses a Qualcomm X62 modem and can do 5G carrier aggregation to get the best speeds possible. This unit has capabilities to work with any major US carrier including the MVNO's like Tello, Mint, Cricket, Total, etc. This video is the speed test comparison to a stock T-Mobile 5G Home Internet G4AR gateway and a Waveform 4x4 MIMO antenna. Check out the playlist below for setup, testing and other videos. @wirelesshaven provided the unit for my testing.

This Elsys Amplimax is ideal for camping, rural homes/agriculture, RV or anywhere you need a strong cell based internet service. Setup and very quick and simple. You need to purchase a data plan from a carrier of your choice and insert the sim card then you're good to go! Many companies offer a "tablet plan" and that is probably idea for this device, just check the terms and conditions for how much data/throttling they may have. Works with Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile, etc carriers.

Excellent content that you do Nate, keep up the great work
Thanks, will do! Appreciate your support!
I have the old TMHI trashcan gateway with no external antenna and my speeds blow those numbers away! I regularly get gig download speeds no joke. When my speeds are as “slow” as you are showing I know there must be massive traffic on tge network or TM is working on tge towers or something. I guess I must be lucky.
@@axjohn speeds will vary for a specific user for many reasons. My tower doesn't serve gig speed even if I am at the tower itself. Definitely appreciate the speed you have as many don't get that!
I'm surprised you didn't throw in the Chester with the waveform antenna?!? Seemed like that would've been a great comparison to throw in there.
Yes, many options! I think I have a dozen or more gateways now!
Thanks for running the tests, however, in my case.
My 4x4 gets me 500/30 if this unit would have illuminated double the speed. Would be worth the spend. But for me the ROI doesn’t compute.
Hi Nate - have you had the opportunity to put the Elsys unit outdoors on the tower and test it yet?
Nate please set up the Elsys Amplimax ultra and a GL. iNet GL-X3000. Please show the performance of those two units together. Also the proper way to set up that router for the Amplimax.
Thank you for what you do.
Hi, the GL-X3000 is a cellular gateway and you would only want/need a wifi router to hook up the the Elsys since its a cellular gateway. You could use the GL-X3000 and either not use its cellular capability or use it as backup. However if you just wanted wifi then there are cheaper options that are as good or better for wifi router needs.
@NaterTater
yes, I do need cellular as well. The implamax will be installed on an RV.
Is the GL - X3000 still just an Over kill?
Is is there a router just as good if not better and by any chance cheaper?
Please compare the Elsys ApliMax Ultra to the Invisagig please! I am interested in one of these two modems. Thanks!!!
Nate, thanks for all of the good work you do. I have the stock Tmobile Arcadyan G4AR and last 2 weeks it shows it's receiving only a 5G signal, not LTE . (Also have the Waveform quad mini (used your link), but don't think that's relevant because when initially installed it did show both LTE and 5G signals.) Not complaining, because both download and upload speeds remain good for my purposes (200-400 down and 10-40 up). Just curious as to the disappearing LTE.
If its not a SW bug on the G4AR then it likely means you are connected to 5G SA (standalone) which is good! That means t-mobile has updated their infrastructure to support 5G SA.
Port 1 and port 4 as normal, port 2 to "ANT 3" and port 3 to "ANT 2" still the best setup right now?
It is for me. Always worth some testing at your location
Any new updates for the Amplimax?

Mr Tater (lol),
I have the t-Mobile G4SE and use it in my rv. Works great as is even while camping. However, I always have to move it near a window facing the nearest tower. Is there an omnidirectional antenna you would recommend that I can install into the tv/wifi/4G dome on the roof of the rv?
Thanks
@@MooreWoodWorks of course! How about this peplink one: ua-cam.com/video/AnCQkpOGVrk/v-deo.html
Any update on the new video with other tests?
I'm always working on new videos! More Elsys ones will be coming out in the future.
Can T-Mobile tell the difference if I take my SIM card out and put it in the Elsys Router
not if you follow these steps: ua-cam.com/video/S-KrWFihyHw/v-deo.html
Hey Nate, with the TMobile GPS address verification becoming more of a possibility. Whats the best thing to do if TMobile doesnt offer service in your area, but it works fine? I moved a couple months back and never changed my service addresss.
They are likely to crack down on it.
They got me a few weeks ago but thankfully i just moved and my new address is either supported or they didn’t care. I just updated my address and they turned it back on.
You think I mount in my attic will work? I live in a townhome
@tracle8334 yes and it'll work better outdoors.
I’ll try out. Can’t do outside. My HOA would not allow this mount
Excuse my novice. Can you hook either of these directly to T-mobile Home Internet? if not what else would I need to do so?
yes the antenna can (see ua-cam.com/video/RFZBbSg_pzE/v-deo.html) or you can remove the TMHI SIM and put it in the Elsys unit.
@@NaterTater With the Elsys one. I have the grey Verizon home box. Can I just throw this bad boy on the roof and connect it to the Verizon box?
@@codyw4022 no. The Verizon grey tower uses eSIM. Doesn't work with this Elsys. You can get a verizon or visible SIM and use it in the Elsys (and cancel 5G Home)
So I have Chester cheetah but it never works when I add a router on the wlan port only lan1 port i don’t know why
@atom10001 correct WAN is for a Modem or ISP. Depending on the model you can actually change the WAN to a LAN port though.
Are we able to bandlock on this device?
@@MikeHawk42O yes! See ua-cam.com/video/Sqo1fvGi0jE/v-deo.html
If i put that thing outside where I live, it'd die. Outdoor heat here is just too high
One problem I didn't like with the tests is you mounted teh comparison antenna next to original instead of in same spot. we all know that the variations seen can literally be because one is a few inches to left or right. It really wouldn't be a true 1 to 1 test without swapping them both in the exact same position (as annoying as it'd be )
@@mysticalos it's rated for 140F
I have a Chester Cheetah V2 Gateway/Modem hooked up to a Waveform 4X4 External Antenna with a Metro By T-Mobile Tablet SIM Card and Unlimited Tablet Plan for only $20.00 a Month. It's been working great for Download I get 500 to 600 but the Upload isn't that good I only get like 5 or 10 or sometimes 15 on Upload so do you have any suggestions I could try to get better Upload Speeds?
have you switched between 5G SA and 5G NSA? Tried band locking to n71?
@@NaterTater I have tried that and SA Mode seems to work best I get 500 to 600 on the Download and I do get faster Speeds on the Upload on NSA Mode but the Download is really slow on NSA Mode so it seems to be like a case of you can't have your Cake and eat it too unfortunately at least in my Area. Is it also possible that the Tower I'm connected to has a slower Upload Speed on purpose? My Upload on my Phone sucks too no matter if I'm on 4G or 5G so I'm thinking it could be that they limit the Upload Speed on the Tower near me because I know people that have Verizon and AT&T and also T-Mobile like myself and they get around the same terrible Upload Speeds as I do on my Phone and on my Cellular Home Internet.
@@JoshF151Tech yes could be a tower limitation
@@NaterTater Yeah unfortunately that's what it seems like because I did more research on the Tower in my Area and it says on CellMapper that the Tower near me has a Max/Average Upload Speed of 7 MBPS and I only Average a little more than that so I guess there's not really anything I can do about it and unfortunately no Third Party Equipment will help with that. Honestly if they expect Cellular Home Internet to make a bigger go of it they need to lift these limitations but I've also heard people say on Reddit when it comes to Cellular Internet even for Phones most people only really care about the Download Speed over the Upload Speed but still limiting a Tower to Upload Speeds of only around 7 MBPS is a bit too slow in my opinion but they must have their reasons why they do it.
I have the Amplimax and cannot get it to work.
What's the issue? Did you reach out to the Wireless Haven?
What are the problems you have? Mine works excellent, I never see 600mb before on my home

$700 is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for this.
Getting a invisigig is $600 then add a waveform anntenna (without kit) for $250 and you’re at $850.
Or go the modem/router combo route and cheetah is $450 plus $250 for waveform and you’re at $700.
You will need to buy cables too if you don’t have them.
So price seems to track.
Well cellphones are $500-$1000 so 5g modems seemed high in all hardware - while I agree that’s too much for the average consumer my point was it’s priced in line with other options out there
@@kawilson70 I'd say it was more priced to what the market will bare. There are also plenty of cell phones out there under $200. Not everyone needs overpriced high end phones that are selling for about 50% off 2 years after they come out.
