I don't remember being so excited about getting an album more than I was for Version 2.0. Hadn't heard this song at the time...it soon became my favorite. Played the whole tape over and over for months on my long commutes, singing at the top of my lungs. Love how the guitar kicks in with her voice at the end.
even when nothing else gets in , when i appreciate nothing i care about , i can still listen to garbage and feel better for a little while , i miss this era of music , im not gna say music now is all bad but we've definetly moved one from the 90s ish sounding music , its a shame in a way
I don't need an education I learnt all I need from you They've got me on some medication My point of balance was askew It keeps my temperature from rising My blood is pumping through my veins Somebody get me out of here I'm tearing at myself Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else I wear myself out in the morning You're asleep when I get home Please don't call me self defending You know it cuts me to the bone And it's really not surprising I hold a force I can't contain Somebody get me out of here I'm tearing at myself Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else And still you call me co-dependent Somehow you lay the blame on me And still you call me co-dependent Somehow you lay the blame on me Somebody get me out of here I'm tearing at myself I've got to make a point these days To extricate myself Somebody get me out of here I'm tearing at myself Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else And still you call me co-dependent Somehow you lay the blame on me And still you call me co-dependent Somehow you lay the blame on me [Repeat: x3]
the thing about me and this song isn't that I personally relate to it in a direct sense as it is that When I was a child I was a lot um... less in control and focused than I am today a lot more hyperactive random and disruptive than I am at this point and I got into a lot of trouble as a kid and was hospitalized at the age of about 9 years old and it's a long story but I basically refused to eat hospital food because we didn't know it at the time but I was #actuallyautistic and suffering from ARFID and was disgusted at the hospital food but my Doctors basically mistook an autistics disgust response for a Power struggle where I was testing them to see just what I could get away with and my Mom snuck food up to me out of concern and then my dad turned her in for some stupid reason that still doesn't make sense to me- a lot of what he did never did. I never really understood him. Anyways They tried to do an MRI on me but couldn't because I couldn't stay perfectly still even after they'd kept me up for 24 hours to try the test again and the never did and lied and said my results indicated I was normal- when they never got any results in the first place I was there I watched them give up after they kept me up that long. And anyways the doctor confronted dad and asked him if he was accusing her of lying and he didn't have the spine to outright tell her YES either you are or SOMEBODY lied TO YOU and after that everyone was fed up the point they withdrew me from the hospital AMA and I was weighed very shortly after I got out and had been there 7 days and lost 7 pounds.... I loaded up after we got out... The hospital in the meantime blamed my mother said that my misbehavior was a product of her codependency and after that it was just assumed that I was aggrivating my peers and that was why they bullied me when the truth was I was sort off in my own world and ignoring them so when I talked to my teacher about what I was experiencing instead of any consequences for the other kids they would give me lectures about dealing with difficult people... my mother was blamed for everything and basically the schools were brought in and information was shared between the hospital and the schools and my childhood was largely about my family and WARRING with the School district to get special accommodations for me. the school district basically blamed my mom for everything and called her codependent.
wow haven't heard this song for such a long time now... cause i got this on cassette tape.. and everyone is using cd, usb, etc nowadays... i really loved garbage old song!
I loved Garbage 'I think I'm paranoid' when it came out in the 90s. Cd, usb? Usb ok, nr 3, and with ssd! :D Would be interesting though, to listen to an old 'Garbage' song on a cassette tape that's slightly creaky.
@Zerolagg You probably already noticed, but there is not a bad song on Version 2.0 and the previous album qualifies as awesome. The essence of Madtown.
@lhoward360 i love cool old shit haha im 16. wish id started exploring earlier though. im proud of my music taste. even though it contradicts everyone else's views at my school
One of the few 90's alternative acts I really enjoyed. The 80's were otherwise far more palatable. Garbage was a breath of Fresh Air among the Offspring, Stone Temple, Verve Pipe crap that was out!
@djkenny I disagree(Greatly preferred 90's music) but it makes since that you'd feel that way since so much of the Garbage's work seemed plucked from the 80's.
any bands like this? imean garbage is garbage, uncomparable to other bands due to their symptom of 'awesomeness'. but if there are any bands that are quite like this, hit me up with some band names eh? :3
I know is been 5 years since you left this comment, but I really love Ladytron, Is a unique sound, is not like Garbage style but they're unique in their own way , it's more like...hmm, surreal pop or new wave,
@@mimim102 Might I add "Ski Patrol" to the list?. They're bloody fantastic really!. The song's called "Extinguish", if you're interested in checking em out....
i was 15 when this album came out, and i would listen to it every day before school.
i miss the 90s beats and sound of music, they always had the right feel
This is a really good track, Shirley is so friggin' cool, love her. Original bad girl of rock...
I love this song, it's so sad but at the same time so beautiful...
im 64 . been there and done that.
and i love this band.
Wow this song is so great... im gonna start listening to more songs by this band!

Mmmm...will always love this album. Listened to it so much back then. 🖤
Damn, her voice is like a drug!
Perfect song for my state of mind...

I don't need an education
I learnt all I need from you
They've got me on some medication
My point of balance was askew
It keeps my temperature from rising
My blood is pumping through my veins
Somebody get me out of here
I'm tearing at myself
Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else
I wear myself out in the morning
You're asleep when I get home
Please don't call me self defending
You know it cuts me to the bone
And it's really not surprising
I hold a force I can't contain
Somebody get me out of here
I'm tearing at myself
Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else
And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me
And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me
Somebody get me out of here
I'm tearing at myself
I've got to make a point these days
To extricate myself
Somebody get me out of here
I'm tearing at myself
Nobody gives a damn about me or anybody else
And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me
And still you call me co-dependent
Somehow you lay the blame on me [Repeat: x3]
Thanks so much for showing the lyrics.

Where is the artwork from? It looks like Dathomir from SWG
Garbage 2.0 was as close to a perfect album made during the 90's
this song fits me perfectly.
@T0KoO
Yes, it's a Lineage II screenshot taken near of the Execution Ground area if I'm not mistaken.
@Zerolagg You probably already noticed, but there is not a bad song on Version 2.0 and the previous album qualifies as awesome. The essence of Madtown.

@Jake23Ts Just now?? Welcome then !! hehe
I can play it on piano. It honestly sounds 5 times better than guitar and I'm not bragging.
@djkenny I disagree(Greatly preferred 90's music) but it makes since that you'd feel that way since so much of the Garbage's work seemed plucked from the 80's.
is that from Halo? lolz
I don't know how that's funny, but whatever, it must Liberal type of humor 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
