This song was Tuomas (keyboards) baring his soul for us after they fired their first singer. The fans turned on him and he became depressed. He commits suicide in the song so he didn't in real life. The words in the last part were actually what his Mother said to him. If you noticed the guitarist and the bassist went to stand by him at the end to show support. I don't think they do the song anymore because it takes a toll on him emtionally
Nothing to add, I just feel that Nightwish community as whole is like the band. Tuomas has done this outerworld experience, even the most difficult times. That being said, I do love that Emppu (the guitarist) goes to check on Tuomas. And for the whole thing, they are standing there all together in the end to show support like a team member. "We are with you all the way" kinda way.
And even more respect for the keyboardist when you realize he is also the genius composer who writes all this music and lyrical poetry. And, yes, you did hear cello... and oboe... and contrabasoon.... and numerous others. That background is the London Philharmonic Orchestra. They record their tracks in Nightwish's studio for the albums, and they use them as background and timing tracks in the live concerts because it is way too expensive to haul a full pro orchestra around with you on a world tour through many countries and over a hundred venues. The swinging pendulum blade is, of course, a metaphorical reference to Edgar Allan Poe's "The Pit & the Pendulum." The lyrical theme is the keyboardist's metaphorical suicide after the departure of the band's first vocalist. He generally writes his lyrics in a female voice for a female singer, but the story is really about him. In effect, she is singing his feelings back to him. So in the very dark spoken-word verse, it is he who is being metaphorically "raped" again and again and again by the repeated passage of the pendulum blade as it slowly cuts him in half. But, on the brighter side, notice the song begins with the whispered words, "The End," meaning his death, and ends with the whispered, "The Beginning," indicating he needed to metaphorically die in order to experience a rebirth of his spirit, his heart, and his romance. ---Cheers! :)

I hope this helps. I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol
Marco is the bass player whom you heard doing vocals along with Floor. He is an excellent singer in his own right. I have heard Nightwish in concert twice now here in the states, and they are amazing. I’m a senior citizen, a musician and have been to many concerts, but Nightwish is simply among the best! Glad that you are becoming familiar with their music. Nice reaction.
Floor has the unique ability to not only have you hear the song but feel the emotions she conveys in every note she utters. This is the prime example here, anger, depression, sorrow, bitterness, redemption we get it all in a roller coaster ride along with her. This is the perfect song that confirms you experience Nightwish not merely hear them playing especially LIVE. Great reaction by you as you were pulled back and forth as the song went on and Floor drags you into a almost hypnotic state listening to her rendition of this song. Tuomas the keyboardist records all the symphony sounds to play them along with the LIVE presentation (Believe it is the London Philharmonic). Marco the bassist and duet partner for Floor is remarkable vocalist in his own right, especially since he had botched surgery on his vocal chords in the early 90's and had to learn to sing all over again. The band is just spot on as always especially LIVE, and the reason why I buy the albums (supports the band) but always look for the LIVE versions of any song. Next up the other epic song Greatest Show on Earth LIVE (ua-cam.com/video/45brzDJKZ3o/v-deo.html) another ride you totally enjoy!!!
It was amazing to watch your face as you experienced the roller coaster of emotions this song puts you through. You broke into a big smile almost immediately, which quickly turned into a look of "Oh what is this"? Then you gave us a cautious "I really like this"? Then as the haunting opening vocal began you gave us a big and beautiful smile, and once again quickly began to search for and find the emotional picture unfolding inside your mind. Slowly you appeared to comprehend the impending doom in the minor chord changes along with the haunting operatic vocals. The joy was no longer alive in your eyes. Anticipation builds! The opening chords brought that smile back and the focus to try to understand where this song was headed. "What is this all about"? Then at 4:18 in Floor sings that uplifting line " Take me Home" and your head rose up and back slightly as your eyes rolled upward and closed anticipating the relief of an uplifting chorus. But you find yourself searching again for lyrical meaning and the emotional feel of the chorus, only to realize that the darkness was still alive. By the way that was Marco the bass player singing backup. My favorite reactions were to the Musical Intermission as you called it. You seemed to be mesmerized and taken to a different place. Happy to have left the dark foreboding music behind. Your emotional climax spilling over to the line "Swaying Blade my Lullaby", at which time you let out a very sensual and satisfied "oooohh". All Nightwish fans can relate to that emotional satisfaction! Needless to say the rest of the song takes you back to the intense darkness. We have all encountered that emotional place that Tuomas so masterfully creates as he plunges his music into your soul like cold steel, which leaves your mind spinning and searching for meaning. Then the last slow section begins and once again there is a look of relief and hope. As Floor begins singing "Be still my son - Your Home" a look of elation overcomes your whole being. "Man Down"!!! Soon after as Floor sings "The Blade will keep on Descending" yours eyes open and you begin to search for lyrical meaning wavering between hope when you hear the words "Love" and "Beauty", and the lingering darkness. Fascinating to watch! It goes to show you that as most nightwish fanatics will tell you, it pays off to know the backstory for this very emotional and moving MASTERPIECE. JennThePanda you are beautiful and a wonder to behold!!
That boy soprano at the beginning, just like the titles for "Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy", on UK TV, with Sir Alec Guiness (Umm, to old for you maybe). The acceleration at the beginning, woohoo. The Pendulum, inspired from the book and film "The Pit and the Pendulum". Welcome to the Floor experience. Each song is diffferent. This was an ultra-personal song written by Tuomas on keyboards, notice how the guitarist, Emppu goes to check on him, and later, with the bass player, Marco, giving emotional support. The ominous brass, 3 minutes and counting, check the time in 3 minutes... Acceleration again, Marco shouting, did you notice his fingers working hard on the bass? Softened by Floor who gets louder. Three forms of death, the pendulum, guillotine, a thousand cuts (Tarja, himself, the public?) Floor sings the words of Tuomas's mother: "Be still my son, you're home. When did you become so cold... All you need is feel my love". Watch Tuomas, he is barely holding it together. Marco moves over to join Emppu. Ending with the Siren. "Are we finished?", after about 14 minutes, doesn't time fly?
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. So now you have done GhostLove Score and you have done Poet. You appreciate this music enough I feel to jump straight into their ultimate masterpiece. The magical story of evolution brought to us in The Greatest Show on Earth. Live at Tampere and be patient and watch til the very end when the camera pans away (the song seems like it is over with a couple of minutes to go, 95% of reactors end the song there when credits roll, but the music and words that get said are all part of the piece)
@@lightningv46 Honestly, I am right there with you, love that ending. However I know the Nightwish Community very well and if I suggest Wembley, 15 replies will suggest Tampere lol
I'm kind of torn between the Tampere and the Wembley versions, Wembley of course has a special ending but I don't like the beginning where Troy plays guitar, I prefer the beginning in Tampere (and of course the fireworks). But I guess I do like the Tampere version more. (Also because it's in Finland and I'm Finnish, and I get chills when Marco is telling the audience to sing along, it's a little weird but I love it even more when he speaks, or sings, in Finnish 😅)
This is one hell of an emotional overload , much to much , you feel the pain and those basic 6 impassioned human behaviors deep within your heart and soul........you are unknowingly drawn into this huge event of a music extravaganza oblivious to the reality around you for the whole duration of this beautiful performance....... I cannot think of no better accolade for this man but i believe Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen is to Music as what Einstein was to Science, a Phenomenon of our time , but i have to mention the rest of the partners in Nightwish who are truly deserving in this Epic band.... for without them we would not be experiencing the beauty and emotions we feel every time they perform for their Global Followers .
That's what I love about nightwish. All the little details. When in the spoken word part, three minutes an counting. It's three minutes till the pendulum drops on Thomaus. The others in the band checking on him throughout the song. The chimes from the drummer at the end. All the little things. Now it's time for greatest show on earth live at tempere. It was written around Floors vocals and styles. 4.6 million years in the making. Just to tell the three words at the end of the song. Very thought provoking words spoken throughout.
The background vocals are usually The Metro Voices from London. They also use the London Philharmonic Orchestra a lot although on their latest album they used an orchestra called "The Pale Blue Orchestra." They record the songs with the orchestra then play back the background tracks for the live performances, probably to save money. Can you imagine traveling the world with an orchestra and a choir?
This song in particular is one that I identify deeply with. I've only ever been mocked for identifying with this sort of music, so it's encouraging to see a presentation like yours. Since this comment won't be seen by too many, I don't feel too odd going into detail. The three harshest lines in the song, in particular, all remind me of the way my life has gone and probably will continue to go until the end. One thousand pages of erased text...
Seems like you enjoyed this very much. I bet you'd enjoy Floor performing "Vilja Lied" in Beste Zangers. Marco Hietala is the viking playing the bass and doing some singing too. Emppu Vuorinen is the hobbit wearing a guitar.
I just found out about the Beste Zangers. I didn't know that it was even possible for me to be so blown away by Floor anymore, but I was 😅 Seriously, is there anything she can't do? On top of all the different styles she can do, she can sing in English, Dutch obviously, a little bit of Finnish, Spanish, German, what else?
This song really showcases Floor’s incredible versatility. The tonal changes throughout the song are amazing, everything from light and airy to dark and brooding. The emotional range of her singing is also really highlighted. She can sing anything and make it beautiful.
A month waiting for your second reaction to Nightwish, and you decided to tackle this song, bravo! So many great songs for you to react to from Nightwish, I hope you do more! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👀🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great reaction Jenn, keep up the good work👍 Bassist Marco sings in many of Nightwish songs. Nightwish is very versitile band, and one of the best live bands in the world. Here is few bit different songs from them, where Marco also sings pure voices... I think you would like these :) "Nightwish - While Your Lips Are Still Red (Live at Wembley Arena)" and "Nightwish - The Islander (Live At Tampere)". Nightwish performance is always a bit more, it is an experience ;)
It is a good thing that I've watched The Poet and the Pendulum a zillion times because I was totally smitten and entranced by the serenity of your beautiful facial expressions throughout this performance. Wow, just wow!!! Let me tell you some more info about The Poet and the Pendulum because there is a lot of drama involved. First off, you need to know that Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboardist, composes and writes the majority of their songs. Many of those songs deal with events that are personal to him and you have to accept from me that The Poet and the Pendulum was his most personal one. The song deals with his emotions after having to dismiss their first singer Tarja Turunen from the band in 2005. He knew her from when they were both young and she was with the band from the beginning together with drummer Jukka Nevalainen and lead guitar player Emppu Vuorinen (yeah, they're Finnish!). The official reason for firing her was that Tarja more and more started behaving diva-like as well as her husband/manager interfering with the band's affairs. The way she was fired was remarkable to say the least. It was by means of an open letter to her which was made public even before she read it. Everything caused an avalanch of negative reactions from a big part of their fans as well from the media. Even the Finnish prime minister had a say in this! Tuomas took all the blame, though it was a decision made by all band members. It pushed him into a deep depression and he even had suicide thoughts. After talking with his parents, who were a great support for him all the time, he decided to compose TPatP in which he commits suicide instead of doing it for real. The song still is very hard for him to stomach and it is not part of their setlist anymore. I subscribed and thank you very much!
I was waiting for this,so thank you. It's seems that you like it.If you ever got more interested in the band, listen to the song again when you know the story behind it.After that, the feeling is definitely different. But not yet, get to know the band in peace. There are a lot of good songs that I would suggest for "7 Days To The Wolves" from the same gig.
Great reaction, your face was so livid with emotion throughout the song, also absolutely have to mention how cute you look when you are smiling :) The keyboardist does everything in the band, as is the leader of the band, without him there would be no Nightwish. Also have to mention that the bassist is actually extremely talented vocalist ever since 80s, but unfortunaly his voice was permanently damaged around 95 due to surgery. But even with that damage, he is still amazing male singer. You should check out Nightwish songs: the Islander, High Hopes and while your lips are still red; in which he does the main vocals by himself
I've seen many Nightwish reaction videos, but this reaction video is one of the best I've ever seen. Your face in Part 3 "The Ocean" and Part 5 "Mother and Father" shows exactly what I feel at that moment. Everyone can see how much you can understand and love music. You are able to let you fall into these emotions. This is supposed to be reaction videos. Thanks for that :)
Nice reaction.. ikr this song bring a rollercoaster of emotions with the lyrics, the poet, the music arrangement and Floor voice ofc. I hope you can stiil continue for the music journey with Nightwish. My suggestion for next reaction is 'The Greatest Show on Earth' live at Tampere.
Absolutely loved your reaction. Now that Nightwish fans have given you the back story and with the lyrics I'm sure you will appreciate the song even more. SUBSCRIBED. ..
Oh here we go again, I'm crying like a child AGAIN... I really like watching your reactions, you are somehow soothing. Btw thank you for not pausing the song all the time, I like how you put the written comments here and there!
Orchestra and choirs are pre-recorded. At first it is a boy who sings. A roller coaster because it describes emotions experienced by the keyboard player in a bad period of his life.
I loved your reaction to the song. You went through a similar experience then me. And man does Floor know how to evoke emotions with her voice making you feel the desperation and pain contained in the song. I absolutely love the closing section and those last notes. But i got the impression that you did not research the song before listening to it. Underneath you find what the song is all about. Tarja (1st vocalist) and Tuomas (the keyboard player) were close friends from childhood onward and she was one of the founding members of the band. But ever since she met her now husband and manager, who convinced her that she was the star of the band and would be better of solo, the atmosphere in the band deteriorated. Although it was decided that she would record one more album with the band before going solo things got so bad by the end of their last tour with her that they decided to make a clean break after their last concert of the tour (The end of era was the last show released as dvd). I think you can kind of see the tension in the band if you take a closer look at the concert. They fired her directly after the show was done by handing her a letter. This obviously was a hard thing to do for Tuomas because of their close friendship in the past. To be clear to the fans on why they thought this was necessary they published the letter on-line at the same time (not the best way to handle this). Although they had expected some critique they were totally surprised by the enormous backlash they received from the press and fans. The biggest brunt of the backlash was directed at Tuomas directly who was thrown in to a depression because of this. He also did no longer see a future for the band he had worked so hard for. He considered suicide but knew this would hurt his close family and friends so he decided to commit suicide artistically by this song. At one point he even moved back in to the house of his parents (mother and father) who put him back together again and this gave him the strength to make a new start. On some of these occasions when they play this song he asks the technician to cut of microphone so he does not have to hear the lyrics. You will also see Empuu and Marco checking on him to see if he is OK. Listen to song again with that knowledge and it will all make way more sense.
And you looked very surprised when Marco started to sing, and then Floor and Marco started a duet.beautiful song. i liked your smile during the song aswell
I loved your reaction to this video as well as your reaction to Ghost Love Score. I see you haven’t posted anything lately. I hope everything is ok. You have been through a lot and this world seems to be going crazy. Please stay safe and take care. You are young, intelligent, and very beautiful. Best wishes from Canada 🇨🇦.
It's worth clarifying that the orchestral parts of Nightwish songs are pre-recorded, including the choir voices. I don't recall the name, but they are based in London. There was a documentary which briefly explained how they work together. I think we can all agree, that a Nightwish performance with a live orchestra would be priceless!
After seeing your reaction to "Ghost Love Score," I knew you would really fall for the last part of this song. I love how you get lost in Floor's Angelic voice.
The Viking guy is Marko Hieltala the basist, he had a band before this one called "Tarot" wich was an 80ties hair metal band. their song "Wings of Darkness"is a song Marko sings in alot 👀🐱👤👍
Just want to add that Tarot was active until 2016 when their drummer Pecu Cinnari passed away due to long-term illness. They released their last completely new album in 2010 and a re-recorded version of their first album in 2011 with some updated lyrics and sound. So Marko was still recording and playing with Tarot while also being a part of Nightwish.
Here are refferences for beautiful NW song with Floor in it that you may loved too: - My Walden (live Tampere) - Elan (official video or live at Wembley) - Alpenglow (live at Wembley) - Sleeping Sun (live at Tampere) - Edema Ruh - Our Decades in the Sun
Every song and album and singer is fire really even the first one with terrible production quality comes out pretty good better than others at the time anyway.
Superb reaction from you. Nightwish is a unique band that can transfer emotions into the audience. You should go for :while your lips are still red - written by Marco (bas) and performed by Marco with Floor as backing vocal. Really nice lyrics.
You're gorgeous, and obviously have an absolutely beautiful soul. I think you'll enjoy Everdream live in Wacken, it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Floor just... Nails it. Keep doing what you're doing, love!
Nightwish has a way of taking me on those trips too. I think her voice just might be so pure, skeeters wouldn't be able to live around it. What do you think? Maybe if you put her on full volume they'd stay away?😜😂 Marko is the bassist and he has an amazing voice too. He's very similar to Floor in how he can change his voice up to match the theme of the song or section of a song. He sings some really pretty songs as the primary vocals too. You should check that out sometime.🤘👍💯
Watching your face during this was fascinating! You seemed to get lost in the moment a few times. Ghost Love Score does that to me, it gives me goosebumps with how much of a masterpiece it is.
The opening voice and one later on: "Lead boy soprano: Guy Elliott, 2nd boy soprano: Tom Williams, courtesy of the Reigate St Mary's Choir School". There is a version of same video on YT with lyrics up to follow along the autobiographical story.
After one spoken passage where it says "And now I only have three minutes and counting" it is exactly three minutes until the blade falls. This is why the pendulum showed up when it did.
You have to hear the same song from Annette, the singer that sang this in studio, live. Then you are going to understand how much work was done by Floor to make that masterpiece sound like one.
amazing reaction and ofcorse this we call how to make a art , this song is a monument of humankind music !! i really want to see a reaction of something diffrent like unleash the archers - awakening !! thank you jenn !!
I like you and your music reactions so I really enjoyed this video. Nightwish has become one of my favourite bands especially now with Floor Jansen on vocals. Some other people in the comment section will tell you about the band and this song so I'd just like to give a special thank you for your comments towards keyboard players. That was such a nice thing to hear. I'm a Finnish songwriter and my main instruments are the keyboards and the drums. Most of the time I've used four keyboards on stage and I still had to switch sounds in the middle of some songs. I was forced to use mostly preset sounds previously but in the last few years I've bought some better synthesizers to create some more unique sounds with them. It's not easy to decide which kinds of sounds to use and what really fits into the song. You could make almost any synth sound good or bad depending on your choice between the usually not so impressive presets or your own sounds... but it's what you play that matters the most of course. :-) Well, I guess that's enough of my ramblings. I hope to see more of your music reactions later. I might wish for more Nightwish but I'm happy with anything you decide to listen to. Thank you for being you.
Like you Redhead. I've just subscribed. Nightwish is awesome. Girls by participating in heavy metal established it on the next and higher level. You should try more this kinda bands (Epica, Whithin Temptation, Sirenia, Tristania, Xandria, Edenbrige and so on). Great sounds. You can go even harder and try listening to Tatiana from Jinjer.
I know you like that soo much.I see your face....and I feel how you enjoy that. My suggestion to you is Sancta Terra by Epica feat Floor Jansen. Retrospective concert. ....enjoy your next Floorgasm!!!
Your reaction was ... woww I loved every expression of your beautiful face. Next: Nightwish - Sleeping Sun (Live In Tampere, Finland) 2015 Absolutely. Call a doctor before, because Floor's voice is lethal ;-)
Floor is amazing, i cant decide which I like better. Listen to Tarja something like sleeping sun or phantom of the opera decide for yourself. I discovered them years ago and i'm still finding new things, their catalog is large
I think the order is to know Tuomas (not just a guy on the keys and Marco the Singer bass player) and the history of this band - then you understand this song much better cause it is not simple - and finally you can judge vocals and the show style itself.
i wish they showed this much support and respect to Tarja...i have nothing personal against Tuomas but his ego and unwillingness to give an inch is at the root of all his problems
Stop at 3:54: Floor is like 5 sec in the song and you have to smile. That's exactly my reaction and i even do not know why. Her voice is not taking the normal way like ears brain heart.....no......... she is going directly to your soul.
Well just to shed some light into this here are some sources about the backstory of this song: First of all the Open Letter to Tarja.Tarja's open letter (why tarja was kicked from nightwish) ua-cam.com/video/rbkpMgqq8pU/v-deo.html Interview Nightwish - Tuomas Holopainen (part 1) at around 1:50min Tuomas explained a bit to that: ua-cam.com/video/pPDNEIt4d7U/v-deo.html Nightwish interview - Tuomas Holopainen (part 1) at 10:00min ua-cam.com/video/v65-ErfUyVM/v-deo.html Here he stated: Cathartic is a good way of putting it. The ultimate example being is The Poet and the Pendulum a song where i literally kill myself in the song so that i wouldnt have to do it in real life.
I know we’re all supposed to be here to talk about the band, but let’s take a minute to acknowledge how hypnotic your eyes are lol. Okay.... now back to the band 😇
Jesus! No lie there! That smile could melt the ice on Pluto! You really could see the emotions moving through each expression! IMO it was just as much an honour to witness your reaction as this Nightwish masterpiece. Belissima!
You can only do so much synthetization with MIDI and a keyboard. So the classic instruments you hear are actually played by real people playing real instruments. The keyboard controls the pre-recorded samples, as it is not really practical to bring a large real orchestra with you on a world tour. Epica has, at times, a strings section with them.
This song was Tuomas (keyboards) baring his soul for us after they fired their first singer. The fans turned on him and he became depressed. He commits suicide in the song so he didn't in real life. ---Cheers! :)

Wow…just wow
That boy soprano at the beginning,
just like the titles for "Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy",
on UK TV, with Sir Alec Guiness (Umm, to old for you maybe).
The acceleration at the beginning, woohoo.
The Pendulum, inspired from the book and film "The Pit and the Pendulum".
Welcome to the Floor experience.
Each song is diffferent.
This was an ultra-personal song written by Tuomas on keyboards,
notice how the guitarist, Emppu goes to check on him,
and later, with the bass player, Marco, giving emotional support.
The ominous brass, 3 minutes and counting, check the time in 3 minutes...
Acceleration again, Marco shouting, did you notice his fingers working hard on the bass?
Softened by Floor who gets louder.
Three forms of death, the pendulum, guillotine, a thousand cuts (Tarja, himself, the public?)
Floor sings the words of Tuomas's mother:
"Be still my son, you're home.
I prefer the Wembley version, it has the special guest appearance
Very thought provoking words spoken throughout.
if there is a cure for the world,..... it must be in her voice,.........it will pierce your soul in so many ways................................
@@kriskit86 Seems like Denise has translated Floor's episode: ua-cam.com/video/Riq9DxEcxGY/v-deo.html
It's such a pleasure watching you enjoying the music !!!
This song really showcases Floor’s incredible versatility. The tonal changes throughout the song are amazing, everything from light and airy to dark and brooding. The emotional range of her singing is also really highlighted. She can sing anything and make it beautiful.
Great respect for the guy on the keys because he wrote lyrics and the whole orchestration
Great reaction Jenn! Love your video's and reactions!
A month waiting for your second reaction to Nightwish, and you decided to tackle this song, bravo!
So many great songs for you to react to from Nightwish, I hope you do more!
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👀🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yeah it has been a long month. Sorry for the wait
Refreshing to see such honesty in your reactions! Very well done Ms.
Panda!
Beautiful reaction, your facial reactions said everything! Thank you!
awww... this is a proper reaction. to close your eyes in the last act. is what you must do. i'm glad you enjoyed
Great reaction, your face was so livid with emotion throughout the song, also absolutely have to mention how cute you look when you are smiling :)
The keyboardist does everything in the band, as is the leader of the band, without him there would be no Nightwish.
So many new reactions to Nightwish today that all I have time to do before jumping to the next one, is to give my thumbs up with this @>-->-->-----
I've seen many Nightwish reaction videos, but this reaction video is one of the best I've ever seen.
SUBSCRIBED. ..
Guy on the keys is the maestro himself Tuomas. Marco (bass/vocals) is a fantastic singer himself and really blends with Floor's vocals fantastically.
Oh here we go again, I'm crying like a child AGAIN... I really like watching your reactions, you are somehow soothing. Btw thank you for not pausing the song all the time, I like how you put the written comments here and there!
Yeah I try to time my pause when I do a pause
Orchestra and choirs are pre-recorded. At first it is a boy who sings. A roller coaster because it describes emotions experienced by the keyboard player in a bad period of his life.
Your reactions during this video are priceless.
First note.... a smile right away 🙂
This has to be great.
Listen to song again with that knowledge and it will all make way more sense.
thx , you made me learn that, i understand this piece of art with a new point of view!❤
And you looked very surprised when Marco started to sing, and then Floor and Marco started a duet.beautiful song. i liked your smile during the song aswell
NORTHWARD - While Love Died (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) lead singer "" Floor Jansen "" is pretty cool. Hard rock more than metal and Floor is always good!
I loved your reaction to this video as well as your reaction to Ghost Love Score. I see you haven’t posted anything lately. I hope everything is ok. You have been through a lot and this world seems to be going crazy. Please stay safe and take care. You are young, intelligent, and very beautiful. Best wishes from Canada 🇨🇦.
can t have enough of this....
Fantastic reaction to a fantastic song. Thank you 😊 👏🏻👍🏻
It's worth clarifying that the orchestral parts of Nightwish songs are pre-recorded, including the choir voices. I don't recall the name, but they are based in London. There was a documentary which briefly explained how they work together. I think we can all agree, that a Nightwish performance with a live orchestra would be priceless!
After seeing your reaction to "Ghost Love Score," I knew you would really fall for the last part of this song. I love how you get lost in Floor's Angelic voice.
nice reaction ...im here cause nightwish...react more this band...thank you jenn
Do the greatest show on earth by Nightwish and you will see some of there best music.
That last part says it all.
Great react, beautiful reactor...
Here are refferences for beautiful NW song with Floor in it that you may loved too:
- My Walden (live Tampere)
- Elan (official video or live at Wembley)
- Alpenglow (live at Wembley)
- Sleeping Sun (live at Tampere)
- Edema Ruh
- Our Decades in the Sun
How could you not include The Greatest Show On Earth...
Phantom of the opera for Tarja and Marco singing together. U needs it in ur life, trust me.
Every song and album and singer is fire really even the first one with terrible production quality comes out pretty good better than others at the time anyway.
Looked like nonstop floorgasm.. :)
Imho this is not really a floorgasm song as much as it is just brilliantly composed song and that for me is really the thing in this one.
man! i wish Nightwish had done the music for "the witcher"! that would have melted my brain!
Superb reaction from you.
Nightwish is a unique band that can transfer emotions into the audience.
You should go for :while your lips are still red - written by Marco (bas) and performed by Marco with Floor as backing vocal. Really nice lyrics.
Now correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Holopainen compose it for a movie Lieksa?
@@ruma9687 yes you are right 👍
@@kimfabritiusdetengnagel2038 yeah, wanted to point out the mistake in "written by Marko" :)
But that's just me, a besserwisser
You're gorgeous, and obviously have an absolutely beautiful soul. I think you'll enjoy Everdream live in Wacken, it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Floor just... Nails it. Keep doing what you're doing, love!
Amazing reactions, you really feel the music and have great insights about it... I think you will love Greatest Show on Earth, you should try :D
JennCuterThanThePanda!! I really liked this...
My vision organs leak water when ever I study this piece of art.
That's deep
Judging from your reactions during this, I think you may want to see Nightwish-Elan. You will enjoy the video/studio version I think
After one spoken passage where it says "And now I only have three minutes and counting" it is exactly three minutes until the blade falls. This is why the pendulum showed up when it did.
Whaat, I didn't know that! That is so amazing, now I love the song even more! 😮
The Bassist Is Marco. Amazing Vocalist With Floor! Perfect Match!
subscribed for reacting to Nightwish, and your cute reaction :D I hope your channel growing biggerrr..
"OMG! There's a dog in my house!!" - Me after your dog barked.
You have to hear the same song from Annette, the singer that sang this in studio, live. Then you are going to understand how much work was done by Floor to make that masterpiece sound like one.
And not only vocally, the "presentation" of the lyrics with her expressions and moves is unreal. She is not the singer she is the song.
The cello you heard was actually a cello. Backing track recorded by the London Philharmonic. They do the orchestral parts for Nightwish albums.
So I was not mistaken. I felt like I got fooled haha
Pip Williams is the one who does additional arrangements and conducting. Tuomas oftens plays the lead instrument/voice on one of his keyboards.
Very good choice.
amazing reaction and ofcorse this we call how to make a art , this song is a monument of humankind music !! i really want to see a reaction of something diffrent like unleash the archers - awakening !! thank you jenn !!
Well, I guess that's enough of my ramblings.
Lol Tatiana & Jinjer are at least five levels harsher at least. Queen of growls! Too much for poor Jenn. ^^
How about reacting to "The Greatest Show on Earth (live at Tampere)" by Nightwish? =)
ghoat love score
I know you like that soo much.I see your face....and I feel how you enjoy that.
My suggestion to you is Sancta Terra by Epica feat Floor Jansen. Retrospective concert. ....enjoy your next Floorgasm!!!
Your reaction was ... woww
I loved every expression of your beautiful face.
Next: Nightwish - Sleeping Sun (Live In Tampere, Finland) 2015
Absolutely.
Call a doctor before, because Floor's voice is lethal ;-)
Floor is amazing, i cant decide which I like better. Listen to Tarja something like sleeping sun or phantom of the opera decide for yourself. I discovered them years ago and i'm still finding new things, their catalog is large
beautiful eyes and beautiful smile
You have an impressive charisma. This will give you several chances in life.
9:20 yes the poet (Tuomas, the keybordist) and the pendulum is a referiment to the book of Edgar Allan Poe
Sorry for my bad english but i'm Italian
This song is a killer :) especially that part @13:45
I think the order is to know Tuomas (not just a guy on the keys and Marco the Singer bass player) and the history of this band - then you understand this song much better cause it is not simple - and finally you can judge vocals and the show style itself.
i wish they showed this much support and respect to Tarja...i have nothing personal against Tuomas but his ego and unwillingness to give an inch is at the root of all his problems
Jenn; a girl without freckles is like the night sky without stars.....
Nice reaction 👍 you have beautiful eyes!
Thank u for doing this :]
Hold my queen and beatles, while I do Nightwish in Wembley...
Subscribed because I love ur smile
By the accent I think you are as Dutch as me... You got e most beautifull hair I ever seen!
Marco vocal & old vocalist Tarja - The Phantom of the opera (official live video) This is the SONG😎🖤
Stop at 3:54: Floor is like 5 sec in the song and you have to smile. That's exactly my reaction and i even do not know why. Her voice is not taking the normal way like ears brain heart.....no......... she is going directly to your soul.
Well just to shed some light into this here are some sources about the backstory of this song:
First of all the Open Letter to Tarja.Tarja's open letter (why tarja was kicked from nightwish) ua-cam.com/video/rbkpMgqq8pU/v-deo.html
Interview Nightwish - Tuomas Holopainen (part 1) at around 1:50min Tuomas explained a bit to that: ua-cam.com/video/pPDNEIt4d7U/v-deo.html
Nightwish interview - Tuomas Holopainen (part 1) at 10:00min ua-cam.com/video/v65-ErfUyVM/v-deo.html
Here he stated:
Cathartic is a good way of putting it.
🤣
Jesus! No lie there! That smile could melt the ice on Pluto! You really could see the emotions moving through each expression! IMO it was just as much an honour to witness your reaction as this Nightwish masterpiece. Belissima!
Metalwings- "crying of the sun" realitivly new band that also has a female vocalist
The Song is about Tuomas killing himself...it's also most likely the last performance of thsi song...as it is emotionally very taxing on Tuomas.
13:20 and on makes me cry like a damn 36 year old baby every time :-/
Why "The Panda"?! You are very, very beaurtiful, young lady.
