Been doing this for years.. my friends would laugh but I told them im not having the edge sticking into my tear duct as I had to pull them so far over so they weren’t on my damn face, so I’d trim them down with my nail scissors and I would bend the band to try to shape it more to my eye shape as the glue got tacky.. they fit better and look more natural

I've recently started using half lashes, or about 3/4 lashes and it has really upped my makeup game in terms of time and efficiency. Gonna try putting the glue on my eye later on lol
Ignoramus here: Do they come in half lashes or do you cut them?
@@noodle3218 Both! Some companies do make 1/2 and 3/4 length lashes (I know I saw a bunch in Japan) but you can cut them as well.

I feel like that’s a better result than mine would be. I’d probably have one eye glued shut and the other accidentally stabbed. Only bonus is I wouldn’t be able to tell you how bad the lashes look due the the fact that I wouldn’t be able to see

I wish I knew about the inner eye thing earlier because my inner lash band always pops up on me and it is the bane of my existence to try to stick it down, now I might actually start wearing lashes again 😅🙏🏽
Same! I have small, almond and hooded eyes and the centre of my lash band kept popping upwards. I had stopped wearing them, but now i can just readjust and do the half lash look. PERFECT!!

Something I found to be super helpful when fitting lashes to my lash line..
My top and bottom lashlines are basically the same length so I lay them on top first and see about where I'd need to cut it then hold them up to my bottom lash line with my fingers and use tweezers to grab them right where I need to cut them.
This helps me not guesstimate where to cut them because I tend to cut less rather than more. It keeps me from having to go back and trim more and keeps them from poking my eye when I don't.
I know this is odd and not how you're supposed to do it but it helps me when I actually decide to wear lashes.
When @JohnnyRoss tells you to go with a half lash...you go with a half lash 💥🔥💞

I do however, love the magnetic lashes with magnetic liner, you use it just like liquid liner and then the lashes stick to it! 💖

Literally a week ago I found the miracle of trimming down my falsies and they were SO much easier to use! Though I did make the mistake of trimming from the inner corner but then I just swapped them to the opposite eyes and it worked just fine
I have always had the corner lift up but now after putting it halfway it’s actually so much better and more easier to apply

I've never even tried false lashes. I don't like getting things close to my eye. I decided to try contacts a few years ago, and it seriously took me over an hour to get them back out.

That’s perfect because I’ve been told to start eyeliner from half (or 2/3) eye, as well. Apparently, my eyes are a bit closer together & this helps make them look larger & lifted.
The tip about only trimming the outside of the band was what I needed to hear, thank you!!
