The first 10 minutes of this movie could possibly be the best 10 minutes of any Pixar movie hands down. So real, with so much heart. Glad you watched this movie. 👍
This could happen. I married the first and only girl I ever kissed. We were together for 30 years and then she got sick and passed away from Pancreatic cancer back in 2009. There has been no other in my life since. When I ever think of someone to hold, it's always her. A big difference is that WE raised a Son and Twin girls.

One of the best character introductions put to film. The lead character is a grumpy, unlikable old man.... yet we immediately empathise and understand them.
RIP Ed Asner 8/29/21. He was 91. A true legend. I cannot see a dog with a cone and not say, "I do not like the cone of shame." The opening few minutes had a better love story than most entire films. Yes, that worker was Ham the Pig. John Ratzenberger is in every Pixar film. He's their good luck charm. He was best known as Cliff the mailman on Cheers. I git to work with him once for promo ads for Monster's Inc (he was the Yeti) and he was brilliant. Every suggestion he made was an improvement and he ended each scripted bit with some great improv. A lot couldn't be used as they were extremely short bits for before and after commercials on the first time ABC aired Toy Story. For all of that, he was somewhat curmudgeonly. He had a flight to catch immediately after. About 2/3s of the way through, which was about 90 minutes in, we broke for lunch. He was a bit upset as he wanted to finish quickly so he could relax for his flight. I said, "Well the crew got here at eight--." He put his hand up, and his entire attitude changed on a dime. "Of course. I'll be over here." He quietly sat and read a book, all annoyance gone in an instant. A true professional. I knew if I ever wrote a role that he could play, I'd offer it, no audition needed. I've never written one. (Nor can I afford to hire him, but that's a different story.)

The establishing shot of the building has its actual address, but is one town south. I think they moved filming to Atlanta so nothing else is actually in Reseda. But I digress. Ed was awesome. "When life gets in the way of the fun things you wanna do." Watching the end of the movie realizing life was the adventure. Im married with 2 kids and every moment is fleeting. I'm trying to savor the moments before the adventure is over.
In case you missed it, Russell’s parents are divorced. When Russell and Carl were talking at the campfire Carl was like you call you mom Phyllis or whatever (Phyllis is Russell’s dad’s girlfriend)
"He's interjecting in the movie theater and people would get very angry with him." I dunno, that's certainly not how I'd feel. I welcome audience participation if it's a reaction to the movie. I remember people shouting, "Stop him!" at Darth Vader as the Emperor tortured Luke and people cheering as Laurie Strode turned the tables on Michael Myers and hunted him down. I think it would be fun if the audience participated more. The problem is when they're totally disengaged, on their cell phones or talking among themselves about everything BUT the movie (and my eyes are drawn to those glowing cell phones like a flies on poop)
Yeah I think in certain instances it’s okay! I remember going to the movie to see Love, Simon and this one person was interjecting the whole time and someone yelled at her to shut up lol. I think it depends on the movie and how often they’re talking
Yeah you might be right, I was unsure with the way they filmed it. I just assumed if you’re painting a baby’s room, you’re already expecting but that isn’t always the case

For me, I love to see people discover movies and shows that I like for the first time. Personally, I don't really like the incredibles and as such I most likely will not watch her reaction to it, I just don't see any benefit in that.

If I know a movie is liked by some people,but also disliked by others and I don't like it,I'll probably just skip it,but if the whole world seems to think a movie is an absolute MASTERPIECE when, according to me,not only it's not a masterpiece,but not even a movie _that good_ then I just like to point it out,that's all.
