Jammie, will you please make a video about the situation in the Republic of Ireland that gay and bi men need to be celibate for 12 months before being allowed to donate blood. Obviously this is horrendous, but that they are still asking about people's sexualitie is still being asked is completely irrelevant. Secondly, while I was filling out my information to get the vaccine I was given the options of male/ female. ?!? Thanks 🌈🌈
I think I would die if you reacted to one of my videos. I would be flattered, but the straights are so bad on there, I am not sure if I would want the exposure or not.
I remember once my sister like let me borrow some of her clothes and did my makeup I didn't like the makeup bit but the clothes were PEAK EUPHORIA but I was so sad when my mum told me off for wearing them
I came out to my parents as nonbinary and their reaction was mostly: - My dad was confused at my nervousness and said “wait this was a secret? We didn’t all know this?” - my mom had no clue, but didn’t really care and went back to work - I had already told my siblings and they all were relieved. My brother shouted “THANK GOD. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD OF A SECRET THIS WAS TO KEEP”
@@ronoli9733 first of all, they aren't a girl. Wtf is wrong w/ you. Second of all, everyone I come out to isn't even remotely surprised either (my parents aren't supportive but they weren't shocked)
Then there's me, who thought of the two as "high wasted awful pants" and "shirt outside pants" Edit: anyway, on the Wii you can change the gender whenever you want and still have a beard, short hair or be bald as "female" or have long hair and makeup as "male"
"Are you chocolate or vanilla?" "I'm a cake" "Yeah but what's in your pants?" "Frosting" "No, I mean what's between your legs?" "I don't have legs I am a cake"
Unrelated story: A friend of mine is a trans guy and in sixth grade he went on school camp, he still had his period and it was on these days so he had pads with him in a small black bag. One day one of his friends he shared a room with found it and asked: "What is this?" My friend sayd: "Oh, it's pads for my period." and then another friend of his asked: "You are a boy though right? Not like your gender would matter in our friendship." When he told them that he was a dude, they just were like: "Ok," and that was it. I think this is just beautiful and i hope that all the trans people out there are exepted and supported by the people close to them. You are valid, loved and welcome.
to add to this, my school from the outside is sort of "ghetto" (in the eyes of suburban moms btw), lots of fights and poc, but its actually super wholesome. everyone is super nice and tries their hardest, except for the kids who- due to stereotypes put on this "idgaf" façade and act hard because we live in a working class area (its florida so most of the people there are old rich white dudes retiring) anywho im in the mens bathroom, and have my period, so im puttin everything on while trying to be as quiet as possible. but the guy in the next stall hears me and goes "yo you got snacks on you or you on your period?" i said hesitantly "period..." and he responds, "my girlfriend got off hers yesterday, so i got some chocolates left over and i dont like em, want one bro?" (ofc i said yes cuz chocolate rules) turns out it was one of the kids who got into fights a lot, he never bullied anything though, just had a bad temper. its summer now, and florida is having a pretty bad storm (tropical, not yet hurricane level but still bad where we are) and i hope hes doin good.
It's really sad that every time I hear "Someone is coming out" I immediately say to myself" Please do not end bad" We always have to fear the worse, and when we are accepted it's enough to make us break out in tears. I hope coming out won't have to be a thing anymore because then it will be seen for what it is. Nothing to be ashamed of and nothing to be hated for.
@@sk8witch19 Thank you! I've had it since 2005 lol. I've been around for a long time lol I find it kinda funny now that the official kingdom hearts channel is just a bunch of numbers while I have this name xD.
@@wilburfoot9888 when I wasn't accepted by my dad I was upset, but I didn't cry. I have become dumb to a lot of shit he does I've grown to ignore and not let him get to me. When my mom accepted me I cried like a baby and hugged her. I tell my mother everything. She doesn't care as long I don't do something stupid. It's okay to cry when someone you care about doesn't accept you ,but I find it's not worth it . They're not worth your tears.
Recommendation for a period brand that isn't all pink and "feminine" oriented. I really like the brand 'Just. a period.' All the packaging is red, white, and black, and none of the packaging says "feminine product" as many period brands do. I also just really enjoy the fact that the brand is trying to fight against the whole 'we can't talk about periods' atmosphere. I'm sure there probably a better brand out there, but this is one thats fairly popular and also not too expensive (around $5 for 20 pads). Feel free to add more brands.
I've seen the Kotex U in the aisles and those have black boxes. Does that count as not feminine? It caught my eye because it wasn't all pink or baby blue.
@@OriginalCreatorSama I mean I would say so. At the very least it may be enough to ease the pain and dysphoria. Like I know I always gravitated towards period brands that didn't use pink or used pink with a bunch of different colors (so it felt less targeted) even before I started to figure out my gender.
I don't know about non-feminine orientated, but as a cis-female I heartily recommend period pants. Once I tried those, I'm not going back to anything else! They give me so much peace of mind and are more comfortable. Admittedly some of the pants available are, naturally, frilly topped and stuff but others are just black pants. I also wonder if they would be far less dysphoric for someone than the feeling of a scrunched up/roaming pad between their legs or more intimate options like tampons.
Is this a thing for the boxes to be pink and feminine? The ones in my country are mostly green and blue with leaves on them...kinda look more like they should contain tea or toothpaste.
@@Fallenfantasy174 yea it's pretty common in the US or at the very least my area in the US. While things have gotten better in my opinion, more colors than just pinks and purples, it can still be pretty bad as far as implying that only women experience periods. For example one product I used to use, Playtex's athletic tampon, has bright pink and green packaging and the outline of a woman running. And that's one of the biggest period product brands and their tampon for me at least was one of the only comfortable ones. Don't get me wrong, things are definitely improving, but the 'menstrual isle' is still often labeled as 'feminine hygiene' and many of the big brands still heavily market towards women (specifically femme women) and use colors that for many period havers have bad memories associated with them.
Speaking of that first TikTok... Pokemon Professor: Are you a boy or a girl? My non-binary ass: Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy? *Picks based on which character has the cuter design*
Oh man, yeah. I'm non-binary, (genderfluid type. Is that like pokemon type? XD) and one of the earliest ways I expressed it was by my game characters. I was HIGHLY OFFENDED when a toxic ex-friend got confused that I chose a man for my pokemon go character, and I was like "No, I always play boys," and she just shrugged me off and went "Well, you can always CHANGE IT." Like uhhhhh NO? Bitch? I'm not changing it! I've TOLD YOU I'm genderfluid. I'm afab and inescapably cis-passing in real life, so I will continue to aggressively live my life vicariously through my video game boys!
In not trans masc, but the guy taking trash out without a shirt is living the dream! 😩 That "hey I'm trans" "sorry, not gay" has the same rude vibe of "hey friend, I'm gay/bi" "sorry you're not my type" 😑
@@sam9014 People assuming that you're telling them because you're attracted to them, I think. Edited because I just saw the video: That dude is assuming that a trans girl is a man so yeah, pretty rude.
It also takes confidence to be willing to appear on camera wearing socks with sandals, so yeah, he's cofident af lmao. Also, maybe it's just the lighting outside but it looked cold outside in that clip.
I turned 18 like a week ago and now I'm able to change my name without parent consent (even though my parents are very supportive it's a little more difficult when you're a minor) and I just found out in my state you don't need surgery or anything to change your gender on your ID/license, and only a doctors note for your birth certificate. I'm really excited. I've been out for 5 years now and I can finally do something worthwhile in my transition. (I'm FTM if anyone is curious) Edit: I live in Michigan if anyone is wondering :))
I’m cis so I’ve never REALLY understood being trans but I DO understand that when I call a person by their preferred pronouns it makes them happy and that’s all I need to know.
Seriously! All those kinds of questions my (nice but *painfully* insensitive) family asks: -why do we have to use new pronouns? -why can’t we dress up as Pocahontas? -why can’t we fake a Mexican accent while eating tacos? -why can’t we ask to touch a black person’s hair when we think it’s pretty? =headdesk= Because they asked!! It costs you nothing and makes them happy!! You don’t have to understand the history and nuance of the whole shebang. You just have to care about how other people feel.
Nintendo has got more inclusive! In the game Animal Crossing it asks you to “Pick a style” instead! They also brought that concept to the new Splatoon that’s coming out next year.
Also, in New Leaf(I think?) If you chose the "boy" gender and tried on a dress, Mabel would say "Oh, um... I guess it's okay to be adventurous sometimes!" But now players get no such remarks!! Yayy
I HAVE SOMETHING BIG TO SHARE WITH YOU GUYS. I went into the mens public bathroom for the first time a couple of days ago, I thought I would never get this far in my transition. I love this channel and all of you who watch and I hope your day is going well!
that one with the guy taking the bin out while shirtless for the first time makes me so happy. good for him good for him!!!! thats like.. the dream man... i'll get there too one day!!! >:D
So like, cis/trans/whatever, I still think it's weird that men are allowed to take their shirts off in public and women aren't. We as a society need to just grow up and learn that boobs aren't scary.
i wish we could just take our shirts off, like not even our bras. the amount of relief i feel when im hot and i take off my shirt 10/10 would recommend
It's more about boobs being sexualized than seen as scary. I wish they weren't sexualized, and that they could just exist as another body part. Everyone has them.
It's starts with female nipples being banned on UA-cam and male nipples aren't and ends with countries where it's literally illegal for females to be topless. 😡
Boobs are boobs, im a lesbian saying this. I don't give a single fuck if I see boobs or nipples in public, ofc they are nice but there is a time and a place. you make such a valid points, the double standards are stupid.
It's just a general rule of thumb that there are so much more cultural hangups about the female body. The only thing expected from guys is that they cover their crotch area and they are good to go.
To everyone who has family who has rejected them, for any reason; I’m your grandpa now. Come over here and I’ll tell you a long winded story while forgetting about the cookies in the oven.
Hi I’m sort of late but I need advice.. I’m non-binary (fab)and I have to wear a “fancy” dress this weekend.. i was almost in tears when I heard that.. I haven’t worn a dress other then a night gown once or twice in almost 3 years.. I’m closeted still except for one of my very close friends… and I don’t know what to do or how to get out of it.. I’m going to a wedding btw.. im really nervous of what’s going to happen..
yesterday, my sister called me to the living room. She asked me if I wanted a binder, and if I was trans. I was like “what- I- maybe... yes.” my sister is so cool. She talks about me changing pronouns and my hair, and my name. I can’t wait till I get a binder, I’m so glad my sister is so acceptive B)
I knew my sibling was envy before they came out. Ironically, I did not know I was agender till I looked at some trans memes and had a panic attack. The sibling always knows.
my mum just yelled at me about how me being non-binary is a phase so this is really lifting my mood and nice to see! Keep putting out the great work! Edit: it's been a while, but a lot of you were right! She has slowly changed and came around. She now tries to use my pronouns whenever she remembers! It's been a long 9 months, my whole life has changed for better or for worse, but this has gotten better and I hope that things will improve for all of you out there who're facing a similar problem.
Aww sorry you’re going through this tough time right now, I’m sure this will just be a phase for her like Jonathan said, if it helps my dads “it’s just a phase” thing (about me being a lesbian) lasted 2 years- I hope thing get better for you and my heart goes out for you, stay safe
technically everythings a phase. you could say.... like blue your whole life. still a phase. living? a phase. dont let the word "phase" be something bad. stand proud and say "yes, this is a phase, my phase. one that might last my whole life. if it does- wonderful. doesnt? thats okay!"
the one about first time taking out the trash without a shirt is so frustrating to me because I am so annoyed whenever men are allowed to be topless and women (or female looking bodies) are not. it drives me nuts, I want to be able to be without a shirt in the same exact situations and not be harassed or fined or arrested or looked at weirdly. it is so stupid and unfair. I feel like it's the equivalent of something completely absurd like being forced to not show your ankles as a woman in the 19th century. when saying explicitly he'd never done it before when looking female it just makes me think of that
i 100% agree, but having chest dysphoria is awful and it's understandable he wasn't able to feel comfortable being shirtless when he haven't had top surgery yet. not trying to be mean!
You need to find other things to be frustrated about because that’s as meaningless a thing as I could ever think of. You must have a perfect life if that’s what is upsetting you.
@UC30QhGEhiX2LrhcvnC0wj People can be upset at multiple things at once, even small and seemingly insignificant things. I think they're bothered with the larger societal issue of sexualising feminine presenting bodies but not applying the same standard to masculine presenting bodies.
Hell yeah, I am not even considering myself as 100% girl, but I am not looking into any surgery. However, I doche seeing men with bigger breast than me. Although, I do understand that he as a transman might not have felt comfortable before, so I think the tiktok is wholesome, just not society.
I found another interesting manga you may like, Jamie. It's called "Claudine" and it's about a trans man living in 19th century France. It was written in the 70's but translated into English just a few years ago and it's fairly progressive for the 70s. EDIT: okay, it's problematic and yeah, the ending got spoiled.
As the fiancé to a trans guy, I have so many things that I want to say about how hard it is to deal with his family when half of then keep dead naming him and misgendering him. It’s like, sometimes I have to hold my tongue or refer to him as ‘she’ when talking to his mom and it hurts me so much to do it. I usually try not to use sentences with pronouns in it just so that I don’t have to say those things. When I text his mom, she always refers to him by his dead name and ‘she/her’ pronouns, and I have a hard time not getting upset at her for doing so. Am I the only one who has to deal with this?
Is he not out to them or are they only not supportive? If they are not supportive, I would still use the right name and pronouns no matter what they say. They will have to get it eventually, don't you think?
If he's out, f*ck the family's comfort or acceptance. Call him by his real name and use his real pronouns. Either the family will slowly vome to accept it or the won't but that's on them
Listen even Cher who accepts her son Bono's transition, still accidentally deadnames him or refers to him as her daughter. She says it's a force of habit and she's trying to get better at it. Alot of older generations aren't as quick to change as people who are Gen Z, Millennials, and even some Gen X. So it's important that you use the correct name and pronoun bc it'll help them learn how to refer to their son as a "he". They need to be reminded or reoriented, and that's where you come in. You going along with it, will only confuse the situation further. I would simply say it with a smile (or emoji, if it's a text) so the mom doesn't feel you're criticizing her. Always show grace, old people will respect your act of patience with them and they will most likely return in kind by putting more effort in giving your fiancé respect. Hope this helps :)
nah youre not the only one- my best friend goes by he/they pronouns, but he hasn’t told anyone except for me and another friend. it’s hurts to call them “she” a lot..i usually say the name he prefers which is just a nickname and do the same thing by trying not to use pronouns but it just hurts so much when i have to say “she” 😭 also!! if he came out to them please use his name and pronouns!! if his family is transphobic, it doesn’t matter. he’s a man, they’re gonna have to accept that.
(For context: I'm nonbinary and pansexual) Imo I dont see an issue with (for example) a straight male saying he doesn't want to date someone with a penis (regardless of gender) but when you say stuff like "I dont date trans people" or "im not gay" or anything that implies they arent a "real" women THAT'S when it becomes transphobic and so many cis people dont seem to understand that?
My take on this is everyone deserves to feel comfortable in a relationship where physical intimacy may be a possibility. If someone doesn't feel comfortable, it's a bad space to grow a healthy relationship anyway.
me being a cishet i am only into women (cis or trans/mtf, still women lol), so it really depends on the person's preference ig- like some people like the genitals, i am more into the opposite sex regardless of the crotch and if the person i love turns out to actually be a guy or non-binary, so be it- i won't stop loving them if i really do and if they really do. it's complicated but I'm pretty flexible and open-minded i guess. i just mainly like someone feminine kinda since i'm pretty manly lol
Exactly this. Same for the superstraight argument. Having a genital preference isn't transphobic, saying you only date "real women" is. Making fun of trans peoples' issues by pretending you're discriminated against is.
Oh man, seeing the "FTM first time doing a thing shirtless" always gets me. 🥰 I just had that moment for the first time at a family pool party. My mom pulled me aside and I thought, since she's conservative along with the rest of my family, she'd tell me to wear a shirt or something, but she said "you should go shirtless" and helped me put on sunscreen. No one even seemed to notice, which was the best case scenario. It was amazing.
Omg you're so right... During 2020 and the lockdowns, I stopped wearing bras when going shopping etc just because it was more comfortable (that sweatpants life, yk) and the reactions I got from men were really shocking. Glares, comments, all of it, I couldn't believe this is still a thing in Central Europe. I have the choice to cage in my breasts or to "attract" attention, it sucks.
Oh I feel that too!!! I’ve been transitioning because I’m nonbinary and I always wish I could walk around shirtless. It’s super stupid. If you don’t like what you see don’t look.
Ok so the period stuff is a good point seriously. Can we STOP with the female symbols plastered all over the thin plastic layers that separate pads and shit, and like get rid of the constant berating of "these are *for women*" on packaging? Like I get it, it's trying to be in some way like ... Empowering for women, and I'm sure that plenty of women who are proud of who they are must enjoy seeing packaging that isn't so overly discreet, or acting like period supplies are gross or something....but as someone who is nonbinary and has pretty annoying and often painful periods, it almost feels like it's taunting me or something, like it's saying "look at you, you're a WOMAN because you deal with this, such a BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY" and it just makes me unreasonably angry. Just wrap them in white wrapping and slap "4 hour menstrual pads" on the front, none of this "women's gear" or shit, or the constant floral patterns and hearts. Like, normally I love borderline overly sweet types of things cause they calm me, but when I'm bleeding on the toilet wishing I could just stop existing I'd rather not be reminded that most people probably have it easier when going through this shit-
I bought a menstrual cup. It's transparent, there's diva cup and whatever but after you take it off the case you don't have to deal with ANYTHING ELSE honestly it just also helped with not feeling like I'm announcing to the world HEY IT'S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH. (which it isn't, since I'm not regular in the first place) and it truly feels like taking my meds or wiping my ass. Normal routine, just my personal hygiene with no one else to know or care. ( I know it might not be an option for everyone but it's worked wonders for me)
And honestly it’s not like it makes ANYONE more accepting of periods, all of my male friends are still extremely uncomfortable with it when I bring it up (my partner is trans feminine, she used to be weirded out by it but she’s pretty used to me talking about it by now) so it’s not like the packaging is making anyone destigmatize periods, it’s only making trans men and other non-cis afabs feel excluded and ashamed
My parents just bought a sailboat and they took me and my 2 daughters out on it today. When we dropped anchor off the coast to swim, I took my shirt off without thinking. It was the first time they'd seen me without a shirt on since my top surgery 3 months ago (I healed pretty quickly). They said I looked great! Then they made fun of how pale I am because I'm in my laboratory most of the time.
I used to get made fun of for being pale by my family before I realized im trans, and well, I don't go anywhere without a shirt on. Fortunately, I am following societal standards now :)
@@DeathProductions200 I actually tan very easily. And I love swimming and hiking so especially in the summer I'm usually more tanned. But since the pandemic started I've been working non-stop (I'm the laboratory manager and head of testing at an independent clinical laboratory), so I never see daylight.
@@austinluther5825 I uhh, work a bit from home and delivery driving, so I rarely get a chance to tan (when im out i always wear something that covers my arms. Personal reasons)
I came out to my uncle a while ago, and his reaction was, "I figured." I swear to god I was more shocked about his reaction than he was about me being trans. I wish everyone reacted like that...
Also, trans individuals, hopefully you have evolved into your final form and you love it. Yes that was a Pokemon reference and sorry if it's awful I'm cis and wanted to make you guys feel good.
Hey all, remember you need to keep going, it will get better. These bad thoughts won't last forever and life will improve. Keep fighting, you are all so amazing and strong. I know you can do it. The dark period you are going through will end and there will be light again. As always I'm so proud of you and care.
I know a little girl(mtf) and it makes me happy to know their mom supports them and has just been following her lead! Parents should always support their kids otherwise they shouldn’t have any!!
Love the shirt, I'm currently finding it hard to resist the urge to pick up some of Cher Strauberry's stuff from Vans. She's a trans professional skateboarder that recently got sponsored by them
The last one was so cute. I remember when I came out as a trans woman to my close family (bro and step dad, my mom and lil sis already knew) After what felt like an eternity of me stuttering around my mom and sis told them they won the lottery kinda because 1 in (a few thousand I dunno my mom once told me but I don't remember, for the sake of this comment let's go with 20k?) so, 1 in 20,000 people is transgender and she is one of them. A short moment of silence followed and then my 2 years younger brother broke it "Well I guess I'll have two sisters to protect now" and that was actually the first time I was called a sister by my family and I started crying happy tears and my mom and sis too. Then they both hugged me,and my step-dad said "Don't worry, we are with you and will support you. For us nothing changes, we love you regardless" And my little brother followed with "Wait! Does that mean I'm moms favorite son now?" To which I said, still in tears "you wish! I'm still her favorite child" And he "you can be her favorite daughter, but I'm our moms only son!" 🥳 And then my lil sis joined and my mom had to calm us down saying that she loves us all equal. My step dad was a bit shocked apparently because I came out on the 28th December 2018 and on new years eve I got a very beautiful message from him which he's never done before. He told me how he loves me regardless as if I was his own daughter and that even tho this way will be difficult, I will at least know who my real friends are. A few hours later my brother came to me and told me "The boyfriend rules" Said that he will thoroughly test any man that I bring through that door and make sure that he knows that they're dead meat if they dare to hurt me
This is such a cute and wholesome story! I'm so happy to hear how supportive and loving your family is. I hope that if I ever come out my family can come around. Thank you for sharing! :)
Cisgender person here but I genuinely find these videos just so beautiful and heartwarming and I just wanna give everyone here a massive hug and tell you that I accept you completely
Man, wtf is with transphobia? Like half of my friend group is trans, and it doesn't matter. I don't get it. (We're all afab, and have three cis girls, a genderfluid person, two trans boys and a demiboy. Most of us also use multible sets of pronouns, we have two she/theys, a he/they/she, a he/they/it and a he/it.)
As a short person, it wiped the smile off my face and turned it into a scowl because I'm short (I'd be 5'2" if I were able to stand up and not stuck in a wheelchair) and bitter about it.
Had a 4th of July party and saw a bunch of old friends from before transitioning, no one even questioned me, after they heard me get referred to as a girl they did the same, and same with the new name, it was really refreshing to have old friends call me by my new name
That video when the guy took the trash out for the first time made me SOOOO happy for him! You could see his pure joy and happiness and how ANYONE can find that wrong needs help. Now. I do wonder what his neighbors thought though 'like bro the garbage truck comes every week it's not that exciting" 😂
2:33 he's so brave for that oml. When I get top surgery idk how long it'll take for the scars to heal, but I think I might get tattoos to cover them after a while so I can feel more confident
The game one is such a mood. I started playing a Pokémon game this week and when I got to the "Are you a boy or a girl?" question I just let out a big sigh. BUT it gave me the idea that next time anyone asks me that question, I'm just gonna go "Are you Prof. Oak?" Cause it would make me happy (and make them question my sanity, probably). =)
i decided ”alright, I’m coming out as trans to my mom tomorow” a few minutes later i get recommended this coincidence? i think not update: i have no idea if she supports me tbh. like she said we could talk to someone about it and she says she supports me but she still calls me her daughter and stuff.. idk if im just overthinking but..
"Are you sure you're trans, because you look like a real girl" lol, what even? I'm pretty sure she knows her body and what she's been through? How do these people even remember how to breathe?? (And obviously, she IS a REAL girl, duh!) And I so feel the first one, picking between male and female. Mostly, I just pick the one I find prettier in the moment or the style. But it sucks. I just want to play an androgynous character! 7:05 That's so cool! Why did I never think to do that! Because the pink, frilly, flowery boxes annoy me, too. I wish there were brands with metal designs or something. Just skulls and stuff.
Oh god I feel that first one. And it happens all the time too. Like, whenever I'm ordering stuff online it asks whether I'm male or female, and I'm forced to answer before being allowed to actually make my purchase, so I always just stare at it for a full minute before answering with my agab and quickly scrolling down so I wont have to look at it, and it's just so uncomfortable every time. Especially when they then use "Ms." or "Fr." (danish) or stuff like that in the emails. It makes me just so uncomfortable and I hate it so much. Just use my goddamn name. I chose it for a reason.
I’m so great full to have found your UA-cam account (Creds to One Topic) I’m 14 and a trans ftm. And I haven’t watched them YET, but I found all your older videos talking about certain questions you get and showing the help T gave you. And I’ve had the questions you’ve already answered in videos. And you’ve became my comfort UA-camr and I love you so much!!! Thank you for making me feel happy and getting my questions answered. You make me really feel confident abt myself, even though the body I’m in is very uncomfortable. And every time I watch your videos abt reacting to transphobic stuff, you always try to educate everyone watching your videos as much as you can. And I love listening to you explain things. And again thank you! I’m gonna continue watching your video. Thank you for reading this all, I love you ❤️❤️❤️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️
If you're trans or supportive, then I recommend you watching the anime "Hourou Musuko" that means "Wandering Son". It narrates the story of Shuichi Nitori, a preteen trans girl who faces different hardships in her life such as transphobia (also practiced by her sister), the loss of the friendship she had with her elementary school friends, not reciprocate love, the beginning of puberty and more. It's an interesting story, the art style is beautiful, the voice actors did a great job too. There's also a manga of this anime.
There's also Boys Run The Riot, a story featuring a trans man and a cis guy who want to start a fashion brand together. It's only a manga as of now, but the author himself is a trans man which is cool since we don't get a lot of ownvoices trans rep.
Today I was able to come out to my dad as trans and I’m glad he was able to accept me as his son.I just gotta come out to my mom which would be hard since me and her don’t have a good relationship but I’m glad I have my dad and siblings supporting me.
5:50 reminds me of a coworker, I came out to him as bi and he said he "kinda" is too. Then he said he'd date a trans girl.. I'm like honey that just makes you straight 💁 transwomen are women!!!!
I came out to my first irl person a couple of days ago and they were probably the easiest person to tell but it was still scary and incredibly validating and liberating! It prob helps that they're my sibling who is also nonbinary and they were talking about that and I used it as an opportunity to just do it but damn it still feels good! The first few semesters he said he was really self conscious around his classmates cause they were all very manly man kind of people and he was scared they would alienate him if they found out he’s trans. He made a few friends and some of them know he’s trans and are accepting of him :3
One of your video lead me to a website where it said period products are not 'sanitary products' or 'feminine products' so they should be labeled as that in supermarkets. I went to my local supermarket a few days ago and was really expecting to see 'Feminine products', because my country is still very very behind in these sectors. But I saw the are labeled as 'Personal Care', and it made me so happy! Just little things :)

I came out to my mom as trans a few days ago, it wasn't planned, but went really well :D she called me her son, and was just really accepting about it. I was just dancing and jumping around my room afterwards. She's now got the habit of saying "goodnight boyo" to me when I go to bed, and it just makes me so happy 😭🤍
short storytime: I was hanging out with my friend group, and somehow the topic of me being tall came up (im 5’8). Jokingly, I said “What do you mean? Thanks for showing light on the happy things, its really encouraging. I recently came out as trans ftm and I love watching your videos. They make even the roughest days I've had a little bit brighter, and more hopeful
Jammi you don’t need to be so self-conscious about your voice - you make a comment about it cracking in almost every video and not a single time would I have noticed if you hadn’t pointed out. Just saying your voice is perfectly fine and pleasant to listen to! :)
I watched this when it came out, and my response to the first one was: "If I was non binary, I would pick male because I like he/him pronouns over she/her." It then took me over a year to figure out that wasn't a normal cis thing.
Idk how life is treating you a year later, but I hope you are doing well. I personally reject the notion of unaccepting "parents" because parents and family are supportive and accepting. Anyone who you are biologically connected to that is unaccepting is (in my personal opinion) nothing more than a connection of bloodline. "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb."
I’ve been watching a ton of trans and lgbt+ tiktoks to make me try to come out. But every single time I give up, I just freeze when I’m going to say it. And the worst part is, I have to act like I’m a female. And if I make one SMALL mistake, my whole life will crumble. My mom has probably waisted atleast 500+ dollars on dresses, and girly clothes. And I keep wanting to just yell at her to stop. Also, please don’t be Transphobic. I already got 5 transphobic comments in the last month. Make that 6. Now 7. Jammie, will you please make a video about the situation in the Republic of Ireland that gay and bi men need to be celibate for 12 months before being allowed to donate blood. Not like your gender would matter in our friendship." When he told them that he was a dude, they just were like: "Ok," and that was it. to add to this, my school from the outside is sort of "ghetto" (in the eyes of suburban moms btw), lots of fights and poc, but its actually super wholesome. everyone is super nice and tries their hardest, except for the kids who- due to stereotypes put on this "idgaf" façade and act hard because we live in a working class area (its florida so most of the people there are old rich white dudes retiring)

I’m cis so I’ve never REALLY understood being trans but I DO understand that when I call a person by their preferred pronouns it makes them happy and that’s all I need to know.
Seriously! All those kinds of questions my (nice but *painfully* insensitive) family asks:
-why do we have to use new pronouns?
-why can’t we dress up as Pocahontas?
-why can’t we fake a Mexican accent while eating tacos?
-why can’t we ask to touch a black person’s hair when we think it’s pretty?

The only thing expected from guys is that they cover their crotch area and they are good to go.

the one about first time taking out the trash without a shirt is so frustrating to me because I am so annoyed whenever men are allowed to be topless and women (or female looking bodies) are not. it drives me nuts, I want to be able to be without a shirt in the same exact situations and not be harassed or fined or arrested or looked at weirdly. it is so stupid and unfair. I feel like it's the equivalent of something completely absurd like being forced to not show your ankles as a woman in the 19th century. when saying explicitly he'd never done it before when looking female it just makes me think of that
Same!!!!
i 100% agree, but having chest dysphoria is awful and it's understandable he wasn't able to feel comfortable being shirtless when he haven't had top surgery yet. not trying to be mean!
You need to find other things to be frustrated about because that’s as meaningless a thing as I could ever think of. You must have a perfect life if that’s what is upsetting you.
@UC30QhGEhiX2LrhcvnC0wj
People can be upset at multiple things at once, even small and seemingly insignificant things.

I agree with what the other person commented. Use their correct pronouns. If anything, you can use "they" because it is more neutral.
Hope this helps :)
nah youre not the only one- my best friend goes by he/they pronouns, but he hasn’t told anyone except for me and another friend. it’s hurts to call them “she” a lot..i usually say the name he prefers which is just a nickname and do the same thing by trying not to use pronouns but it just hurts so much when i have to say “she” 😭
also!! if he came out to them please use his name and pronouns!! if his family is transphobic, it doesn’t matter. he’s a man, they’re gonna have to accept that.
Yeah I agree, it’s pretty straightforward but idk why cis ppl don’t get it
me being a cishet i am only into women (cis or trans/mtf, still women lol), so it really depends on the person's preference ig- like some people like the genitals, i am more into the opposite sex regardless of the crotch
and if the person i love turns out to actually be a guy or non-binary, so be it- i won't stop loving them if i really do and if they really do. it's complicated but I'm pretty flexible and open-minded i guess. i just mainly like someone feminine kinda since i'm pretty manly lol
2:52 Watching this as a cis woman wishing it was socially acceptable for people with breasts to go out shirtless without being arrested or harassed…
Yeah like that's the one thing I'm going to miss when I start estrogen being able to not wear a t-shirt in the summer

( I know it might not be an option for everyone but it's worked wonders for me)
@@mochhhhee I've actually had a similar experience of switching to a cup, it's so much more convenient and better for the environment too
And honestly it’s not like it makes ANYONE more accepting of periods, all of my male friends are still extremely uncomfortable with it when I bring it up (my partner is trans feminine, she used to be weirded out by it but she’s pretty used to me talking about it by now) so it’s not like the packaging is making anyone destigmatize periods, it’s only making trans men and other non-cis afabs feel excluded and ashamed

It was the first time they'd seen me without a shirt on since my top surgery 3 months ago (I healed pretty quickly). They said I looked great! Then they made fun of how pale I am because I'm in my laboratory most of the time.

The last one was so cute. I remember when I came out as a trans woman to my close family (bro and step dad, my mom and lil sis already knew)
After what felt like an eternity of me stuttering around my mom and sis told them they won the lottery kinda because 1 in (a few thousand I dunno my mom once told me but I don't remember, for the sake of this comment let's go with 20k?) so, 1 in 20,000 people is transgender and she is one of them.
For us nothing changes, we love you regardless"
And my little brother followed with "Wait! Does that mean I'm moms favorite son now?"
To which I said, still in tears "you wish! I'm still her favorite child"
And he "you can be her favorite daughter, but I'm our moms only son!" 🥳
And then my lil sis joined and my mom had to calm us down saying that she loves us all equal.
My step dad was a bit shocked apparently because I came out on the 28th December 2018 and on new years eve I got a very beautiful message from him which he's never done before. He told me how he loves me regardless as if I was his own daughter and that even tho this way will be difficult, I will at least know who my real friends are.
A few hours later my brother came to me and told me "The boyfriend rules"
Said that he will thoroughly test any man that I bring through that door and make sure that he knows that they're dead meat if they dare to hurt me
this made me cry happy tears ❤️ i’m so glad that your family was so supportive, I love hearing stories like these!

And I so feel the first one, picking between male and female.
