OK, so Roti, originated from India. When the British brought the Indian from India to work in the cane fields they brought their recipes with them. One such recipe was Dahlpuri. Dahl is the "peas" and puri means "roti". Over the years, Indians in Trinidad popularize dahlpuri and it spread through Trinidad and the West Indies. Now, it's like a staple for a lot of other household. I love to see other people cook INDIAN FOOD, I'M SO PROUD! Next time please get a tawa, it's way better to cook the roti. Great explanation! But please get a tawa

I love you this is roti skin
Keep splitpeas water for gravy.
I am making the curry today but out of laziness I'm gonna use store bought wraps as roti skin.
I do it all the time lol ❤️ make life easier!
I would have liked to have gotten the measurements for the recipe
It’s there now
It would have been helpful if you had added the measurement for the dough.
Aren't the measurements in the description?
Looks great! I find Betapac curry powder even better!
I’m gonna look for that one and give it a try ❤️
i like keens
Looking so delicious. Do you have to put yeast in the roti??
I’ve never made it without it 🤷🏾♀️❤️
No you don't. My family is Trinidadian Indian, been cooking roti for over a hundred years, never use yeast.
@@karenramsumair2259 what flour do you use!
That is good stuff!
Thank you 😊
